We were seated by the hostess and waited over 15 minutes with no service (while tables around us were being helped). I was ready to walk out. Thankfully, we moved to the bar area, found a table, and Stephany saved the day! She immediately noticed we were frustrated and turned the whole experience around. She took excellent care of us, and from that point on everything was fantastic. I had the chicken salad and my wife had the burger -- both were delicious. The drinks were also excellent. Stephany really made the difference. We went from almost leaving to having a great time. Food and service at the bar were outstanding! Would return and specifically ask for Stephany.

"Diced grilled chicken, shredded romaine, avocado, pico de gallo, black beans, corn, mozzarella cheese, citrus dressing, cumin-lime sour cream drizzle, crispy flour tortilla shell" It was packed up well, and I appreciated that they packed the chicken separately, as it was still hot and didn't affect the texture of the salad. It was just a 5 minute walk back to my hotel room so everything was fresh. At first I was impressed with the salad, until I realized it was atop a giant fried tortilla that took up half the to go container. Like a chipotle burrito sized tortilla. It had a lot of corn and black beans, but it was short on the pico and avocado and frankly lettuce. Though a good amount of chicken, which was flavorful and cooked perfectly. The citrus dressing was tasty but very watery and did not cling to the salad. It mostly just pooled at the bottom. The sour cream didn't seem to have any lime, but just tasted like bitter dried chili powder. The fried tortilla was crispy and oily and mostly wasted. The salad was just ok. Probably better to eat at the location and not as a takeaway. I have been here a couple of times and the best thing I have had here were the green beans. They're very good green beans. Everything else has been pretty average.

We don't realize this was the first Toby Keith restaurant or what an impact it had when the place first opened. The tourist gods shined down on us and gave us the perfect spot for spectating, eating, cooling off and enjoying the band on stage-the upper balcony and front and center. I wish I could recall our waitresses name (I'll get better about this). She was fabulous. She could see we were melting from the humidity and kept the water and drinks coming. The food was wonderful. We shared the pickle chips and some fries. Perfect temperatures on both so that we were able to dive in without burning tongues. I had the pulled pork sandwich with some Mac and cheese and I could've married the chef. The savoriness and the cheesiness were the perfect portion. I'll be back.

And don't even get me started on the mac and cheese -- it was runny, unpleasant, and served lukewarm. The atmosphere was nice, but the AC was barely working, and the restrooms felt like a sauna. To top it all off, everything was overpriced!

I ordered my steak rare, and they absolutely nailed it -- warm on the outside, cool in the center, and it cut like perfection. Hands down one of the best steaks I've had. The thing I'll rave the most about is the crab cake! It was perfect. You have to try it! The fried pickles and fried mushrooms were delicious, and the sauce served with the pickles was especially good. I also tried the soup of the day, a creamy chowder, which was excellent. Sat on the bar side, enjoyed a Michelob Ultra during happy hour, and had a great experience all around. Definitely worth a visit!

The menu is very diverse and provides and opportunity for both surf and turf. I have had both during past visits and they are top notch. Coming for the Pacific Northwest, I know seafood and they fly in fresh seafood and it shows. The bread and butter is meat. The bleu cheese filet is outstanding and maybe only second to the lamb chops. Order a bottle of wine and the evening is set. Try this place for the items in the glass cases but the food and service is top notch.

So much to say during my visit to the NCAA Tournament…read more.... First off, I apologize for not remembering names. That's not my strong suit. Humidor: It's small, but everything in stock is top shelf. Well stocked also. Staff is very helpful in finding what you're looking for and making recommendations. 10% off for military, vets, and first responders (cigars only). You can smoke on site, which is getting rare these days. Bar & staff: Nothing short of outstanding. Friendly, chatty (if you want that) and make the best Old Fashioned I've ever had. 3 different bartenders, 3 old fashioneds, all amazing. I told them they need to have a "mix off" for bragging rights. They're considering it. If Old Fashioned isn't for you, very wide selection of top shelf liquor, wine, and beer. Wanna play "Stump the Bartender"? I dare you. They'll know how to make it. Atmosphere: Lots of locals and a few visitors like me. Very welcoming. Told me a lot about the city and made me feel welcome. Definitely not a snooty "you're not from here," vibe. They welcomed me as one of their own. Not a sports bar, per se, but the games were on the one TV, which is fine with me. No kitchen on site. If you need food before your liquor, eat beforehand. Bottom line: My go to place in OKC. Should be yours also. Miss y'all already. Hope to be back soon.
