They swiped our credit card to open a tab. Several beers on tap or in cans. A full bar is pretty well stocked. The clientele here seem very friendly. We walled over from the canal walk. Not a great place to walk, but it's only a couple of blocks. Right next to Bricktown parking lot. One restroom/storage room in the back. It's a very laid back, no frills kind of bar. This is a cute and casual place for tasty local beer!! We found this place while wondering around the Bricktown area. From the front it looks like a normal size bar, but from the side it looks super skinny! We were heading to the pizza place behind it, but my curiosity drew me inside. It's actually a bit of an optical illusion, bc the building is triangular, I think? There is actually space inside for tables and to sit down! They also have a pretty decent patio. This bar is a nice place for soccer lovers to watch a game (or prob any sport for that matter). They have a few TVS and lots of fun soccer scarfs as decor. Skinny slims is a little off the beaten path and filled with mainly locals. If you are in search of a cozy local bar, away from the crowded canal area, this is a good option! You won't stay Skinny or Slim if you drink here too much, as some of the clientele will demonstrate without even intending to. However, if you want to watch footy in OKC, this is unequivocally the place. It's a really wonderful little soccer Pub on the east side of Oklahoma City. Close to downtown - this is what you are thinking about when you are looking for a European soccer Pub. It's amazing that there is one in Oklahoma City and it's such a great place too. It was really great that they turned up the volume real loud when we got here. And the place was supposed to be closed and they opened it up just for the Champions League games. Can't really get much better than that. People that got here on time found a closed bar and missed the start of the game, but for latecomers such as myself it was timed perfectly, and I was just delighted that they opened up for 10 people wanting to watch a random Liverpool game. I bought some alcohol even though I don't really drink, just to support the bar. I had a political conversation which almost got violent and definitely got weird. So really it was a bit of everything here in OKC on this particular day. I had a great experience in Oklahoma City and this place is one of the reasons why. Dang it. I found this spot on my last night in OKC. And it should have been my bar the entire time I was there. Love that it was small and homey. And the crowd on a Tuesday night were clearly regulars. But they didn't mind the invasion by a few visitors, especially a group of women. They had a great whisky selection and I got a reasonably priced pour of Bulleit 10 year which I love. My friends were pleased with their beer selection so everyone was happy. The space is small inside but comfortable and not jostley when we were there. Loved all the sporty-sport decor. read more

Not an exaggeration, this is the best bar in Oklahoma City. The drinks are cheap, the service is friendly, there are always game on the T.V. Just a bare bones bar to watch sports and talk with your friends and it is wonderful. Arrive in OKC for work to early for my Bricktown Hotel to settle in. It's Sunday, and St. Patrick's Day. A quick Google of OKC events and Skinny Slim pops up with a weekend party. So walked over. Nice outdoor patio with long communial tables greets you. They had an outside bar today serving green beer (Coors Light) $3 and Guinness $6. I had to have my once a year, one glass of green beer. I asked the gentleman serving me if there was food specials today and he said the only food was Irish Stew $3 bowl. I didn't know this (first visit) but they typically don't serve any food, the owner made the stew for the special events. Stew was good, green beer meh (I'm a craft beer snob). Anyway, the place wasn't overly busy, good friendly crowd enjoying the sunshine and mid-60 degree weather in March. Most people seemed to stop in for one drink and leave. I hung around for a second green beer as my room still wasn't ready. Appears to be a great place to catch a soccer game. I enjoyed my visit, I'd return as it's close to Bricktown and friendly. read more

I'm totally biased -- the owner Dustin is a friend and a really good dude, who has endeavored to make a soccer-specific bar in OKC, and power to him. It's a tiny little railroad car of a building hidden in Deep Deuce that tends to spill out onto the patio anytime more than 10 guests, and it's charming. I don't tend to hang out in bars, but this little patio is a nice place to spend a few hours. Good selection of beers on tap, and a friendly staff that keeps 'em coming. This is my first go around in the great Bricktown in OKC and Skinny Slims was on my hit list to paint the town red....maybe ;). Bartenders were great recommending some impressive drinks! They had some house made ginger mixed with some scotch that was just hit the right spot on a Friday night after a long week...so smooth!!! Don't let the current Yelp rating fool you, I fell into that very trap. Traveling through OKC on I40 West, my buddy and I were looking for a casual spot to grab a beer or two. That number quickly reverted to one singular beer, as I could literally not stand to wait the two minutes it takes to run a credit card and instead opted to pay with my friend's cash. Skinny Slims looks inviting on the outside and sounds like a good time from 50 feet away. You could say their "curb appeal" was promising. Upon entering the establishment is where this story takes a turn for the worst. My friend and I posted up at a couple stools on the bar and eagerly waited to order a couple beers. The bartender, who turned out to be one of the owners, consciously ignored us in favor of his 15 friends in the corner of the bar, all of whom (including the drunk owner) were participating in obnoxious drinking games that involved slamming the wood bar top, nearly tipping over my non existent beer. Upon receiving said beer in physical form, I was in no mood to casually sip the 3 inches of foam that floated over my suds. The bartender/owner's friends (the only other people in the venue), instead of being inviting, opted to act as if we had intruded on their private social gathering. It mystifies me as to how this establishment is still operating, dare I say, in the green. It is a large establishment with abundant seating inside and out, which gives me hope that this poorly ran frat house will be out of business faster than a race between Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner across a lone desert road. read more

Skinny Slims! Where have you been all my life? In a Bricktown filled with Coyote Uglies, Socials, and Club Albees, it's hard to find a chill bar that you don't have to be wearing a mini skirt or pay $10 to get in. We headed there after dinner, and parked in the $5 parking behind the bar. My roommate had been there before, so she lead the way. With a large patio filled with string lights, I could see the people enjoys their brews and summer and friendships. We walked in and there was less people there than I thought there would be. We ordered (Kettle One on the rocks with 2 limes for me) and sat down. My roommate told me I could carve my name into the table, and to go ask for the widdler at the bar. They pulled down a glass full of screwdrivers and handed me one. I started carving my name. Lauren let me know that the building used to be a conductors stop on the railroad, which I found charming. She thought it was a mini-McNellies, but I thought it was more unique to make that comparison. One thing that struck me though, is that everyone there seemed to already know each other. I got the feeling that maybe they all lived in the Deep Duece area, and that was their neighborhood bar. I think if I brought a group of people (maybe 7 or 8) we would have a lot more fun. All and all, I liked it. Considering there's not many places to go out in Edmond, I usually have to travel to OKC or Midtown to find something unique and fun. I'll definitely be returning. Can be a little intimidating (more amusing) when a ruby match is on but fun no less. Plenty of outdoor seating. Upon entering we were greeted by one of the owners and sat at the bar to enjoy a drink. The place is small, but not overly cozy. However, I can imagine any kind of larger event might overwhelm the capacity quickly. We were told by the owner that he is looking to get some outdoor TV's soon, so that should help with the capacity as the place a nice sized patio in front. Would definitely stop by again whenever we are strolling through Bricktown again. read more

OKC's premier soccer bar. VERY small bar. Excellent bartendering even when it was crowded during the women's World Cup finals. All the soccer crazies know to come here, grab a pint and let loose. Hands-down the best place to watch any international soccer match. But get there early if you want to sit. Also just a cool, out-of-the-way place to grab a beer and hide away from the hot Oklahoma summer sun for a while. I'm told they'll open up early some days for live broadcasts of the Premier League. I haven't confirmed that, but you should call them up and see if that's something you're interested in. read more

Hands down the best place to watch soccer in OKC. Banners and scarves hang from the ceiling representing teams from all over the world and on weekends they'll open at 6am for premier league matches. If you're there at night, the place is tiny and is a great place to just sit around and hang out over a few beers. This is the perfect place in Bricktown to go with the express purpose of drinking in mind. It's cozy and has a fun air to it. The outdoor seating makes you feel like you're out partying on the street and you can enjoy your drink(s) out there with a smoke if you want. The staff seemed fun and the drink selection was varied enough to keep things interesting. There is definitely a soccer motif going on, but I enjoyed the look of the place more for all the wood structures and tables. Also, it has a limited capacity so with even a few folks it feels like a lively party. This is one of my favorite go-to place after a hard day at work! read more

Very cool bar on Main Street. As you can tell when you drive by or walk up, it most definitely is slim. There is probably room for 30 or so inside, although I don't know what the official occupancy is. There is a bar with a few stools, and seating around the perimeter of the place. Additionally, when it's not the dead of winter (as it was during my first visit) there is seating out in front of the joint. Additionally, there are several TVs and clean (and larger than I was expecting, given the size of the place) bathrooms. Overall, very solid structure and comfortable place to have a few. I didn't check out the liquor selection, as I was drinking beer. They've got a very good selection on tap, including a lot of Oklahoma favorites. Also, solid list of bottles. This place has an atmosphere that's rare in Oklahoma City, it's friendly, it's comfortable, and it's most definitely not corporate. I will absolutely return and recommend you do so as well. We need more places like this in Oklahoma City. read more

If u want bad ass casual dive, this is the place to go. But if you want a beer in a hurry and speedy service this is not the place to go because it is so casual that sometimes the bartenders are too busy bullshitting with a customer to get you a beer. That is the only reason I get this at four instead of a five but other than that the place kicks ass. read more
