If I could give zero stars I would. The restaurant was packed on a Sunday morning which should be a good sign. We were seated quickly but everything went down hill after that. It took 20 minutes to place our order, during which time we saw the owner/manager get into an argument with customers and kick them out for waiting for a table in the wrong area. I can appreciate a busy establishment and don't like to review based on service alone. However, when our server finally came he was rushed and rude. The food and value, or lack thereof, is the real cause for such a bad review. The Icelandic Benedict was inedible. The English muffin was soggy and brown with grease or some mystery sauce. A waste of $21. My daughter ordered the Nutella crepes ($18) and they were not filled with anything - just topped with some Nutella and sauce. Every table was full! And we waited about 5 minutes. Every one is hustling and bustling around and the walls are covered in decor. This is a hard review. Ive come here for YEARS and have felt a serious deterioration in the quality of food over time. The quality has diminished and the prices have gone up. I usually dont go out for breakfast, especially when I can make it at home for a fraction of the cost. I just left a doctor's appointment and settled here. I ordered hot tea and asked for almond milk and was told they dont carry it for tea or coffee. So odd. Then I ordered the biscuits and gravy plate. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. I included a picture to give you a visual of what I was served. They gave me a lot of eggs and potatoes. The eggs had no salt or pepper, the potatoes had too much. The "biscuits" were literally ONE BISCUIT and it was the size of a "biscuit" you would get at Popeyes or KFC. I swear to you. The gravy, wasnt even breakfast gravy. It was gravy they serve with mashed potatoes. It was dark brown gravy that was EXTREMELY salty. I paid $18.99 for this biscuits and gravy meal. I 100% should've gone to Black Bear Diner. I could have gotten a waaaaay better meal for much less. I cannot in good conscience recommend this breakfast to another person. Also, its super dark inside. I should've sat outside but it was too cold. The service was friendly enough. But I was there for the food. That is why it got this rating. The food quality was below average. Our family has been coming here for many years. The last few times we noticed the prices have gone up and the food quality has gone down. Today was the last straw. When I ordered, I asked if I could have one sausage and one piece of bacon instead of two of the same with my meal, and the waitress told me there would be an upcharge for that. It seemed really unreasonable, especially since every dish is already $20. The rest of the meal wasn't any better. Our drinks were never refilled, and some of our food came out five minutes before the rest of the plates arrived. The eggs Benedict was completely overcooked and not runny at all, the waffles were sour, and nothing we ate was worth the prices we were charged. When it comes to problems though they're really only minor ones as its out of the control of the business. There could be long wait times when waiting to be seated due to business as well as long wait times waiting for your food. As for the food itself too there could be items that may not taste good but that's not entirely the fault of the business as not everything will agree with you. Came here for Father's Day! We were seated right away. The host was a little eccentric, seemed annoyed to seat us. He was older man and Threw our menus down and didn't even crack a smile. The service was quick and fast. Our food came out within 5 minutes of ordering. The 3 eggs are medium size and three slices of thicker than usual sourdough toast. Perfect. The country fried potatoes were perfectly seasoned. My hubby had pancakes, eggs, bacon, and sausages. He requested no powdered sugar. The pancakes were overcooked, surprisingly, not what he complained about. He grew up on pancakes, box or homemade, so he is a good judge of pancakes. He could tell that these pancakes were from a quick mix, only add water, and dense. They were not light and fluffy. But he enjoyed the warmed syrup and whipped butter.
