Me and-wife were out in Dublin on Friday and found this wonderful little café called The Stable Café in Pleasanton. The food was absolutely wonderful, and everyone working there was amazing. Maria, the owner, is so pleasant with every customer who comes in that we had to go back again on Saturday for breakfast. I have lived in Pleasanton for 26 years and had never tried this place until now! The place is a treasure. When the horse race track was active, I would imagine a lot of people used to come here who worked at the track. Now, early on a Sunday morning, we were the only people there. The food was delicious and the service was great. It's a functional space. My fresh squeezed orange juice was perfect, with lots of pulp, yay! Stable Cafe is not closed as indicated by Google! They are happy and healthy and open normal hours :) Gate 12 of the fairgrounds is the best entrance to get to the cafe the fastest. An attendant waved us down to the end of the road and once we made a right, we reached the storefront in a sort of U-turn-to-park situation. Stable Cafe has homey diner vibes, and I loved it as soon as I walked in! Breakfast burrito ($12.75): Ask for their homemade salsa! I drenched every bite in it. Spice level is about mild-medium. Burrito was perfectly fine without it of course; I watched the owner (I think?) make it fresh on the griddle so it was hot hot hot for a long time lol. The chorizo and bell peppers in it were delish! My husband got their hot dog ($7.75) which he wolfed down. They cut the sausage in half and lightly fried it, dressed it up in tomato's and onions. Fancy hot dog! I also got their house coffee with free refills. Their staff was so friendly and check in on us often. The way they spoke to the other patrons sounded like they consistently have regulars which I love! Stable Café is located within the fairgrounds. An attended will wave you down the path and you will find the café and parking at the end of it on the right. You'll enjoy the beautiful horse-racing artwork on the walls. The staff is friendly and he service excellent. We enjoyed our late breakfast and the order was prepared quickly and correctly. A yelp search led us to this very hidden cafe at the Fairgrounds. Although somewhat tricky to find, it was well worth it. Small family run cafe putting out some great food. On this visit, we had breakfast and really enjoyed it! The service and food are amazing and we look forward to coming back! read more

Maria greets us with a warm hello to welcome us back. This place is a rare jewel full of good food and fabulous people at the grill. Coffee is hot there is plenty of seating for small and large groups. Maria opens at 5am and closes at 1pm she was so gracious as we were still eating at 130pm. I'm not gonna lie, I was a little concerned when I had to drive to the fairgrounds to get to this place. But I was pleasantly surprised! The linguiça and eggs were delish, the chilaquiles was probably the most authentic I've had in the Pleasanton/ Livermore area, and the fresh squeezed orange juice was incredible. read more

I've lived in the area most of my life and been to the fairgrounds so many times, even gone to horse races in the past and volunteered at the horse races years ago...but I never knew this place existed! My husband found this cafe and we stopped by for brunch on a Tuesday mid morning. It's a pretty casual place and we had to pass security to drive to it but we just told them where we were going and they told us where to park. There were a few tables of people and only two people working, one of whom looked to be on break, so the lady greeted us, got our drinks, took our order, and cooked and delivered our food! She was genuinely happy and super efficient at her job. Our day was made a little brighter by her positivity! The food was delicious and affordable, it was super fresh and hot. We've always wanted to try this restaurant and we were not disappointed. The service is great. All our dishes were flavorful with care in the details. We had an omelette with hash browns and toast, eggs and hash browns with toast, french toast and a turkey sandwich. Everyone loved their food. I'm getting the french toast next time since its so good! I also liked how the french fries had more than just salt and pepper on them. Best part is that it's reasonably priced. The amount of food given is great value for the price. It was a nice touch to have the place nicely decorated for the holidays- a full sized tree, santa hat seat covers. made it feel homey. My wife and I had two breakfast meals which were ample and delicious. Prices were reasonable in today's market. Met people there I knew from my other activities which was a pleasant surprise . Stumbled upon this place one morning looking for breakfast and I'm so glad I did! I quickly flipped through the Yelp pictures and saw there were breakfast burritos as I wanted something quick and simple on my drive. I don't have any allergies so I didn't bother to ask what was in the burrito, but it seems like Chorizo? Like ground meat, bell peppers, cheese, potatoes, & maybe spam? I couldn't tell since it was so flavorful and packed. They didn't skimped out on anything which I appreciate. The worker who made my burrito was so nice, I didn't catch his name but he also made sure I had sauce to go with it. Thank you kind sir for making my morning! Came here for an early morning breakfast burrito. Friendly staff got me my to-go order ready quickly. Ingredients and were fresh and seemed of good quality. Comes with some medium salsa that gave it another flavor layer. Only minor issue was I like my potatoes a little more well done than I received. While I was waiting I looked around at decor and it has a great race track feel. I think I will come back with family to try some of their breakfast/lunch items. read more

The burger is pretty good. Seasoned right. Totally fresh veg. Meat is a pre-form, but no complaints. It's pretty good sized. The fries...oh, man. Those are the best fries I've had in a long time. I know it should be an easy simple thing, but they aren't! You can watch them fry them up, and you have to wait for them to cool down. And you won't mind.
