    Churro Menu March 2025
    Mabel H.

I actually first heard about Vic's from a neighbor who raved about their churros! I went that same evening and oh my GOSH I will remember their stuffed churros forever. I've tried the guava, chocolate, and strawberry as it was $13 for 3 while $5 for 1. I believe all churros should be served hot and stuffed, criminal if not. I believe their churro cart now operates outside of Vic's only on the weekends; their IG @lauraschurros is most up to date on their location. I've never been to Vic's for brunch, and I had heard from friends that it's an establishment that's been around for a long time with great hospitality. Their brunch menu is absolutely ginormous; whatever you're craving, they have it. My friends opted for their sweet specials while I went after my eggs Benedict craving: Coach "Underwood" ($19.75). I liked the kick in the jalapeño crab cakes with the lemon basil hollandaise! I think they have Taco Tuesdays but I'm unsure of the hours or what the taco specials are, so I'll have to swing by on a Tuesday to find out :)

This is a great place to get a local vibe owned by a family that has been around for years with very large portions, attentive service, and a cool vibe because of all the sports memorabilia from the locals... Plenty of seating inside and out plus a meeting room. All in all a great spot for breakfast or lunch and you won't leave hungry.

    Yummy breakfast!

My husband and I recently went here for breakfast. From the minute we got there we were greeted by friendly kind staff and constantly checked on us and offered more coffee. Our food was absolutely delicious!

We haven't been here since probably at least 15 years when new ownership took over so we decided to give it a try. There's a solid experience this morning during our Saturday morning breakfast with some friends. We were told to see ourselves at any open table upon arriving, and not knowing the protocol, we grabbed our own silverware and menus. Strange. I didn't take long for our waitress to come by and take our drink orders, and then she returned not long afterwards to take our food order. Wait time for our food was acceptable. Our dishes were well plated and everyone was satisfied with their selections. Pretty standard and solid, but nothing overwhelmingly good or bad. Given this is spring break, crowds were less than I anticipated. This is definitely worth a return visit once we make our rounds to other breakfast places in town.

It's been a while since I've been to Vic's . From what I understand they have new owners. Went there for breakfast this morning and had the chorizo Benedict, darn right tasty with a lime hollandaise sauce! Chorizo had a good little heat to it! My grandson had the caramelized banana pancakes, he said it was a bit too sweet. He did not like the hot chocolate, said it was too watery.

Have been coming here with my girlfriend, and it's always a great time. We were seen to quickly and the service was friendly snd constantly checking up on us to see how we were doing. Food was great as well, will definitely be coming back in the future.

Super nice staff, delicious food and very cool decor. Also nice that they have their own parking lot vs parking on the street. Would go back again.

This review is for Laura's Churro stand that is right outside of this restaurant. The churros here are delicious. Got the original, Mexican caramel, condense milk, and guava. The guava was the favorite filling that we got to try, but all of them were good. Only criticism I will say is sometimes when they would tell someone's order for pick up they would get some of the churros mixed up and have to make another one which can just take a little time, but the wait is still worth it.

Excellent location for breakfast, brunch or lunch in downtown Pleasanton - extra fun if you're into sports. Our family stopped by this morning between kids activities. Parking was tight but available, and we were seated right away in the indoor dining area called Coaches Corner. This room was adorned with sports-related news articles, photos and memorabilia. I was seated under an autographed number 8 Steve Young 49ers jersey - took me back almost 30 years to the last time the Niners won Super Bowl XXIX - hope they pull it off next week in SB LVIII against Kansas City. We were all hungry, but we took a long time to order as there were many options, and the menu was very creatively designed. Finally, I went with Coach "Jessie" (egg white and soy chorizo scramble) and the missus picked Coach "Julio" (pork chorizo breakfast burrito). Coach "Taylor"(chicken quesadilla) was the right choice for our older daughter, and our younger one ordered a hot chocolate. The food arrived as I was halfway through my first cup of coffee, and it looked good! We all dug in - excitedly talking about the art school we visited that morning, and the lunar new year event we were headed to after our meal. I enjoyed my scramble, especially with the rye toast I had ordered with it. My wife loved her breakfast burrito, and our daughter seemed to enjoy her quesadilla. Service was fine, and they accepted the Yelp check-in coupon for a free beverage. The bill was about $60 before tax and tip. We will definitely be back - there are plenty of other dishes we want to try!

My advice to the business owner is treat your employees fairly. Besides food, ambiance of the restaurant, customers only want to support good business owners. Today's Yelp check in coffee was granted to us but the owner made the staff Sandra pay for our drink and blamed her for a mistake that she didn't make. Sandra told us that the owner is deducting the $4.95 coffee for our Yelp check in offer. If you are a Yelper, don't support this business. If you have the time to read: When Vic's first opened, they offer free coffee for Yelp check in to anyone who has the Yelp account even in the same table, more than 1 check in is allowed at each table. In my recent visit in Dec 2023, each table can only use 1 free Yelp check in coffee. Also each time when we received the free coffee, the receipt would not show that it's free or deducted from the receipt. The entire line item of "coffee" would not be on the receipt so we don't get charge for it. Even at my Dec 2023 visit, we ordered 3 coffees with 1 Yelp check in free drink offer so the receipt shows 2 coffees. This morning, I reminded my family to use the Yelp check on for 1 free coffee. When they first arrived at Vic's, a lady who seems like the owner asked them if they wanted drinks. She checked with her and mentioned about the free Yelp coffee and she responded ok they can get one coffee for free. They had 1 coffee and 1 water. Then the waitress Sandra(according to the receipt) came to take their order. When they asked for the bill, Sandra came to the table and told my family members that she is now responsible for the Yelp free coffee charge because they didn't remind her of the Yelp check in when they check out. This is so WRONG. Sandra didn't know because my family members told the owner in regards to the Yelp free check in offer. Now the owner is blaming Sandra for not putting the coffee on the table's receipt. Sandra came to the table and told them that she would need to cover the cost of the coffee which is $4.75. Pretty ridiculous of treatment to the employee. If you check my previous posts, at each visit, I would get the free Yelp check in coffee and no coffee item was shown on the receipt. I always wanted to support small businesses but I definitely would spread the word and tell friends not to support Vic's anymore since they don't treat their employees right. I will upload a picture of my receipt today later as I ran out of max capacity for mobile phone images uploads.

They have plenty of options--beef, chicken, and veggie burgers--so there's something for everyone. The shakes are definitely richer and heavier than In-N-Out's, and each one comes with a donut, which the kids loved! They also hand out stickers to children, and the burgers are served with delicious fries. If you're looking for lighter choices, they offer Brussels sprouts and salads, along with a grilled cheese sandwich. And for the adults, they even serve beer. The indoor seating area is on the smaller side, but there are lots of outdoor tables. On a nice day, I'd definitely recommend sitting outside. The burgers were soft and fresh. I thought the kids' burger was a little heavy on the sauce, but that's probably something I could customize next time. Service was quick overall. My only minor feedback is that the server taking our order spoke very softly, making it a bit difficult to hear in the busy Sunday afternoon crowd.

I found this place on here about month ago and bookmarked it. Today I came here to get lunch to go. I ordered there with a staff member. I got the Cali Kid burger (w/ Angus beef), Garlic Fries, and a Chocolate Shake. The guy asked what sauce I want which I asked for his recommendation since it was my first time there. He recommended the Cali sauce, and I said "Okay, I'll go with your recommendation." I didn't know that he was going to charge me for the sauce--$.75. The total with a $1 tip came out to $27 something. Pricey!!! I waited for about 8-10 minutes til my order was ready. The chocolate shake didn't have the pretty chocolate drip like in their pictures, but it was decadent. It is better than In-n-Out's chocolate shake. The mini donut is a cute touch. The Cali Kid burger was pretty delicious, but I still like In-n-Out's Double Double a lot more still. The Garlic Fries was garlic overload. If you're super into garlic, then you might be a fan of this. After a few bites, I got tired of it. The Cali sauce was just okay. I wasn't a fan of it. The place was clean, bold, with plenty of seating indoors & out. In my bag, the gave me a fork, but no napkins. Luckily I was going to go back to the house to eat it, but it kinda sucks that they didn't give any napkins. It was nice to try, but I'll stick with my beloved In-n-Out.

Not sure how long this burger joint has been here, but I've always known of it by passing by many, many times over the course of 30+ years. But only tried just recently. There's seating both inside and outside. Inside the walls are totally covered with pictures of classic cars/trucks and interestingly enough of horse racing culture, since the county fairgrounds are super nearby. Pics of horses from past generations and their jockeys and owners. I thought that was an interesting local imprint. Mushroom Swiss Burger ($11/4*) So 'giant burger' is in their name. Even though the patty itself isn't monstrous, maybe a 1/3 lb at most, it is quite sizeable, much bigger than most fast food versions. After scarfing down my burger, I'd say I was slightly fuller than eating a double at In & Out. But this was also almost double on what I'd pay at In & Out. But since I'm a quintessential old schooler myself, I'll pay this price of admission here, no prob. The Burger Patty: Nice and juicy. Good quality and just flat top griddled. I had to season my patty with a little salt n pep from those packets. There's a special sauce that flavors the sandwich, a mayo/ketchup blend is my guess. The Produce: They use shredded lettuce and everything was quite fresh. Just very messy as lots of things will spill out on each bite. The cooked mushrooms were a little light but still noticeable in most bites. The Cheese: The 'swiss' labeled is basically a white colored American cheese, super soft and gooey. Not my fave, but a burger may be the only time I welcome American cheese. The Bun: They use basic sesame American buns. Super factory quality, but again for the basic American burger experience, I think this is fine. Just wished they toasted it more, as it became a mushy mess after even just halfway through. I'd say the bun was my least favorite aspect of this burger experience. Onion Rings ($7ish/5*): My friend said he saw them use a frozen product to drop in the fryer. But damn this was one of the best onion rings I've ever had from a burger joint. Super crisp, just oily enough and no artificial factory flavor. I could taste the onion and the crisp batter, and that batter stayed crisp for the whole meal, even after it cooled a bit. These are a must here. Fries: I tried a small handful from my friends bag as we were sharing our sides. They are of medium thickness and they crisp them nice. They also salt them with a good shake, and the oil they use seemed very clean. Even at Mc Donalds I'll often get grossed out by fries cooked in old oil. Blech! Not here, quite proper. I'm throwing them a fiver, just to show that a fiver doesn't have to be mind-blowing or life changing. Just has to fulfill expectations with a smile, and make me leave satisfied and happy. Check, check...and check!
