Jade was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and was patient with us. The range is gorgeous and we had a great time...kudos to Jade! We highly recommended this place!

I've been clay shooting several times and my son has never been. I've always found it frustrating. The instructor started me shooting left handed because of my eye dominance. He was patient with both of us and we had an extraordinary time. He was also a lot of fun. We will definitely come back next time we are in Kauai. The staff are wonderfully sweet and the range is very nice. Just off the road coming from the falls. If you like to shoot or if you like to shoot clays, come to this place!

Great time shooting clay targets! Might be the funnest thing we've done so far on the island! Ben was awesome and a great instructor! He makes it fun and for first timers you feel very comfortable as he is great at giving you the tips you need to be confident and hit the targets! Worth every penny! You won't have a bad time!

If you never tried clay shooting you have to go to Kauai Clay. Ben and his fiance are very knowledgeable. We originally booked the experienced shooters plan but after missing 5 shots in a row we opted to take Ben's offer and upgrade to the Intro which comes with personal training and we started bust um in the air. I highly recommend that if you never shoot before to take the beginners lesson and I promise you will have a blast. I will definitely be back the next time I'm on Kauai.

We came here for "part one" of a close friend of ours bachelor party. I can't tell you much about "part two" but I can tell you that this trip was super fun and everyone involved couldn't wait to come back! Kauai Eco Sporting Clays is located up the ways from the turn off of the highway as you head to Wailua Falls by the Old Kapaia Stitchery; you can easily google map the location- even though its remote, its very easy to find. We had the whole place to ourselves. Im not sure if thats how it was planned or it was just a slow day because of the rain. I think the basic package we did was 50 cartridges (2 rounds @ 25 shells/round) plus the rental of a nice Browning 12 gauge shotgun. All in all with the kama'aina discount it was $80 cash, closer to $90 if you pay with a credit card. I'm pretty sure there is a smaller 20 gauge available for kids and women. We competed against each other shooting 5 rounds of 5 shells in both single and double target rounds. The clay flies from all over the course which makes it fun and challenging as we found out some locations were much harder to shoot than others! Ben switches up the target locations evenly so everyone shoots exactly the same amount of targets from the different locations. Like the other reviews I've read stated owner/operator Ben Ellsworth is a genuinely solid, funny and down to earth kind of guy who made the whole experience a lot more enjoyable. He knew we were a bunch of young local boys and you could tell he was comfortable 'hangin loose" with us while still giving us all the safety and shooting lessons we needed in a professional way. Almost anyone would have a blast doing this! Even if you don't like guns or don't like loud noises- I think the feeling of blowing one of these clay discs out of the sky brings a certain satisfaction that only a big gun and shotgun shells can bring!

Shooting clays on Kauai, say what?! Of all the things this island has to offer I did not expect to visit a gun range for sure! But I'm so glad I kept my options open. Reading the various five-star reviews about this place just made us even more curious to try it out. My sister had very little experience shooting years ago and my friend and I were complete noobs. But all our fears were diminished after walking away from what I'd say was one of the best things we did on the island. Ben (the owner) and Miguel (our instructor) were both very friendly and personable. From holding the guns to aiming to shooting them, they made us comfortable throughout. In our hour-half session, we gradually "graduated" to different levels of shooting with a backdrop of greenery and cows (no they weren't hurt). I'm kinda bummed we don't have this type of activity on Oahu. Definitely a fun recreational activity for pros and newbies alike!

This experience was amazing the owner Ben was awesome while checking in. Jonathan came in while we were signing paperwork to have Ben help his other shooters in the "kiddy pool" so they wouldn't waste their ammo. That was great to see, it showed that they wanted their customers to get the most out of their stay there. Originally my husband was the only one that was going to shoot but somehow my husband convinced me to do it too. But both Ben and Jonathan said that women are usually better than men. And I knew i had to try. Jonathan was a great instructor. He walked us through everything and he was also hilarious! He let my husband use "his" beretta shotgun. It really wasn't his personal gun but he said that he rarely lets people use that specific gun. I thought that was cool. I had a blast and of course I did better than my husband. after my experience here my husband and I are going back home and going to get into shooting clays. Thank you Ben and Jonathan for the experience, it was amazing!!!

Highlight of the trip. Great 1 hour lesson on shooting clays, over 20 shots, and friendly competition. You'll likely come in here a bit nervous at first, but with the given lessons and safety, you'll walk away wanting to come back and compete! They hosted 2 pairs of us and were diligent on time. The lesson was very productive and encouraging. The way they instruct makes you feel at ease. They also provide you water and soda, which is a plus given the humid weather. Would highly recommend - much better than going snorkeling.

Ben & Andrea are great, their customer service is very impressive. I am a big fan of this place, I feel like i am home every time I go shot.' I live here on Kauai and I recommended it to any locals or tourist as a great activity rain or shine. If you don't have any experience shooting don't worry Ben is a great shooter and he is happy to give lessons. Thank you guys! Jorge

Incredible experience!! Highly recommended! Ben the owner is very personable makes you feel right at home. Even if you've never shot a gun or shot clays his instruction will have you hitting them before you leave. Definitely going back!

There were 2 parts to the Basic Pistol Safety Course. There was classroom time and range time. David and Joey was very thorough with the information that they taught during the classroom time. David and Joey was also very good instructors during the range time. We were able to shoot at different distances. During the shooting, we were able to pick and choose which pistol we want to shoot. I was very pleased that they had a Glock 19 because that is the pistol that I'm looking to get in the future and was glad that I was able to get a feel for it. We had some difficulty finding it, though,…read morebecause coming off of Rice Street, there is no street sign, and the street has a different name on the other side of Rice (Kalena). The hall is rectangular, much longer than wider. The facility is accessible. The entire place showed its age but was neat and clean. It looked as though the space within could be divided. There was a kitchen area. The floors were bare tile. The major issue we encountered was air conditioning. We were there for a well-attended event on a hot mid-September day. The A/C vents, however, seemed to be located only at one end of the building, and it wasn't where we were. That end of the building was very comfortable. The section next to it was okay if you weren't moving too much. The section we were in, farthest away from the vents, was pretty miserable. They tried to keep the doors closed and the A/C in, but even if they had been successful, I'm not sure it would have helped. Most people spent a lot of time fanning themselves. Also the acoustics were not good for an event like this, with lots of people talking. It was difficult to hear and be heard, given all the noise. Then they piped music over standing speakers and we had to yell to be heard. It would probably be fine if there was only one source of sound at a time, like one person speaking, everyone listening to the same music, etc. Load-in and out was easy due to multiple doors in the sides and end. There was a theater at the end we were near, but it was closed, so I can't tell you what it was like inside although outside of it was very hot, since there were no A/C vents. It looked as though the theater had been added at a later time.

The Convention Hall is a multi-purpose facility that's great for hosting parties (birthdays,…read moreweddings, etc.). Every time I go there it's always for that specific reason. Driving in from Hardy street, you have a massive uncovered parking. There's a chain link fence that separates the lot from the Hall, so you have to find the niche in which it opens toward the entrance. Walking into the ballrooms, you have are immediately struck by the size of the place. If you've seen the space from end-to-end and not separated by dividers, you'll know what I mean by it! This place is mostly for space rental - there's no catering or staff that services the hall and must be provided by the party. You do have the general necessities to host a party, and that includes a sink, bar, fridge, cupboards, a stage and bathrooms. I was fortunate enough to host a First Birthday Party at the Convention to 'test' out the acoustics of the room. Depending on the amount of sound generated from whatever speaker system you have, it can only travel so far. Also right next door to the Ballrooms, you have a Theater that's host to other grand productions (concerts, plays, pageants, etc.). I've only taken a peek in there once but it's a pretty decent size! Overall: Great Place to host parties and other events
