From the beginning of my appointment, I told the technician multiple times that my eyes were hurting because of the glue, the materials she was using, and the strip placed on my lower lash line--especially on my left eye--which was poking directly into my eye. I repeated this several times. She removed and reapplied the strip multiple times, yet the pain continued. My eyes were flinching and tearing uncontrollably because of how uncomfortable and painful it was. Instead of acknowledging the issue, she tried to blame me for "having lashes ruined." I wish Alena had listened more carefully and taken my concerns seriously. Her response was unprofessional and dismissive--and I later noticed another review describing a similar issue just the day before my appointment. When I finally opened my eyes, they were extremely red and burning, and the spot where the strip had pressed into my eye is still painful. I was left with a scratch under my left eye and an allergic reaction that has already been documented by a doctor. Despite causing me injury, they charged an outrageous amount. To make matters even worse, I later discovered they have video and audio recording equipment inside the premises without informing clients, which is a serious issue in a dual-consent state like California. Beware of this place. Protect yourself and avoid it at all costs.

Compared to other places I've gone in WeHo, she's competitively priced ($80-90 versus $120 at other salons) and does a heck of a better of a job. The lift and tint itself was amazing!! I've had these done a few times and I have blonde eyelashes. For me these usually last about 1-1.5 weeks, but I'm a month in and they're still curled and slightly tinted. Fantastic!

I have been going to her for years now, and honestly wouldn't let another lash tech near my sensitive eyes! (A big reason why I trust her is because of that - and it's definitely scary experimenting when you already have the best). I have tried out both lash extensions in various formats and the lash lift/tint. Lash Extensions: Melika is extremely attentive to her client's needs, preferences, and questions. I never knew much about extensions - so naturally I had a million questions for her. She was always very patient with me and my inquisitive nature - BLESS HER SOUL - and always had such great knowledge in addressing everything. I had started with a more natural set before experimenting with more full volume / hybrid ones. She knows that I don't like anything too dramatic and when she would help me venture out - the lashes always exceeded my expectations and surprised me in the best possible way. (Truthfully I had a few other experiences - but also noted that my lashes sometimes would fall out extremely fast or the adhesive used was very harsh on my eyes). Melika is receptive to her clients and definitely took the time to find an adhesive that's super gentle! - At least in my experience. I have gotten my lashes done DOZENS of times, and have never been to a studio that didn't carry eyelash remover. Each technician I've been to before has cleaned my lashes for me before putting on a new set, no matter whether I was wearing mascara or not. The technician at this studio was extremely rude and unprofessional, and it's pretty asinine to not carry remover at a lash studio. I'd never come back and would not recommend at all!

The building is easy to navigate with a parking garage on Catalina St. There's free parking there if you let the garage staff know you're there for Rachel. Rachel is always super attentive. She texted ahead of my first appointment to ask what kind of look I was going for. She walked me through different types of lash curl types and helped me settle on one that I liked. Rachel always asks how my lashes hold up between appointments and checks in throughout applying the extensions to make sure I'm comfortable. She's a meticulous technician and my lashes always look so pretty afterward! The LED extensions have amazing retention and allow me to use whatever makeup I want around them with no problems.
