Its hard to find good sushi restaurants near metro Troy area but boy this new staff friendly, family oriented with the atmosphere that makes you feel cozy definitely exceeded my expectations. Went around lunchtime, although it was busy their waitstaff service was punctual and very friendly. Tried a bit of everything and I must say, their fish tastes so fresh as it just melts in your mouth. First time at this restaurant and let me say it straight and simple. Very fresh, delicious food along with a very friendly family oriented staff! Lot of great things to love about this place. It's a Korean Japanese fusion. They serve the Korean show dishes while you wait for your sushi order. A bit unorthodox but I am not complaining. You get a lot of bang for your buck here. Dinner is served with miso soups, and you get an assortment of 4 or 5 side dishes while the entrees are en route. I honestly should give this place a 3.5. I wasn't super satisfied with the food, but that may be just the unfortunate result of ordering the wrong dishes. Maybe next time I'll ask for recommendations. I do know one thing, I had a sample of their yellowtail appetizer..and that was FRESH. I appreciate fresh sushi. The name means Family. The food and service was top notch and here's why : When we arrived the restaurant was full only 1 table was open and a few chairs at the sushi bar. We were seated quickly and given menus. I was very curious as this has been booked marked for awhile. The server gave us waters and we waited...and waited. The server Heechul apologized (there were only 2 servers running, cleaning and serving) I can see they were doing there best to help all the diners. I wasn't upset because when he finally came he was very sincere and apologetic. Once we ordered he gave us edamame and cucumber salad (small plate) both were great. Because we waited he gave all of us miso soup (Quick service recovery). The fish was fresh salmon skin roll and the Atlantic Roll was delicious and I ordered this crispy pork dish Tangsuyuk OMG its my new favorite it's like chicken tenders but pork tenders even better served with warm home made sweet and sour sauce. I also ordered there seaweed salad I pretty much order this at all sushi restaurants and this by far was the best tasting seaweed salad. It's a small space Restaurant did I mention it was crowded. The price is comparable and the quality of fish and portion is very good. This and Sapporo are my top 2 sushi places now. read more

I came here with a friend for the first time a week ago and let me just say I can't believe it took me this long to finally try this place! I have known about its existence ever since it replaced the previous restaurant but never sought out to try it out (I really don't know why). We were the only ones in the restaurant but the waitress was very kind and sweet and was patient with our order. After skimming the menu multiple times, we ultimately went with the Spicy Salmon Bowl, since we both have never tried it before. It also comes with a side of miso soup. This was very good and the salmon was flavorful! The sushi rice was SO bomb and the toppings were perfect. The dish we chose was not extraordinary or anything spectacular or unique, but the simplicity itself was amazing and satisfied us both. been trying to find a place comparable to noble fish for a while now. so we went to a sushi place yesterday. very unassuming and tucked in a street mall in Rochester Hills. Read good reviews about it so went to try it out and all i can say is wow!!! i was impressed! the fish were fresh, the #sushi were delicious, the owners were so friendly( they even gave us free avocado roll at the end) and most of all, very reasonable price. I love this restaurant. It is in my family's regular dinner restaurant rotations. The prices are good. Most of the dishes run $10-12, and the sushi isn't overly expensive. The portions are a little on the small side, but we always order a few different things and usually can take a small box home. The waitstaff is super nice and they work very hard. They're friendly and quick. Even when the restaurant is packed, there isn't a long wait. The inside is a little small and I feel like any group larger than 6 would be too big, especially on a Friday night when they're busy and full. But the inside is clean and nicely decorated. I've tried the haemul pajeon, yaki udon, omurice, bibimbap, bento boxes (a lunch special that is an awesome choice) and a few different sushi rolls and have yet to find anything I don't like. read more

Carry out only right now, but still just as good as dine in! Always accommodating to my customized requests. Everything seems pretty fresh and the rolls are decently sized. I've gotten free miso soup every time I've ordered which is a bonus! The only drawback (which is more of a personal problem) is how quickly things start to add up when you're ordering different rolls, just check how many pieces are in each. Everyone there is really nice and they have some pretty cool rolls too. I always look for places that use crab salad rather than imitation crab and this is it! read more
