The rating here is pretty accurate. It is a decent place for ramen and sushi in Gettysburg. Nothing too crazy or exceptional, and just an okay ambiance with not much of a luxury feel, but it is still a decent spot. I got to try some sort of poke like dish with raw salmon. It was pretty solid. The fish itself seemed decently fresh and it was pretty tasty. Adequate amount of vegetables that also seemed pretty good. Sauce was fine. Everything just seemed okay. I am not sure if they make everything in house though or if they work closely with some kind of distributor based on their site. All in all, a fine spot. Not too bad but not great. Came here when visiting my sister as she insisted it was one of her favorite places. While the service was a bit lacking, the food was absolutely delicious. The tables each had chili oil on them, which is essential for Asian cuisine, in my opinion. Between the 3 of us, we all had a different version of the ramen and none of them disappointed. I'd been wanting to try this place, am glad that I did, and likely will return. It's in a great location, one half block north of the Gettysburg square. Parking can be problematic, and parking meters are all over and strictly enforced. You have to seat yourself and go to the counter and pay first. I'm not sure why (it's Gettysburg? I read some meh reviews? It's attached to a theatre? It has "chicken noodle ramen" on the menu?) but I wasn't expecting much from this place. I was so pleasantly surprised! The tonkotsu ramen was delicious. The broth was rich and flavorful, the noodles plentiful and nice and chewy, and they give you a really solid amount of toppings. A whole egg, baby bok choy, corn, bamboo, nori, bean sprouts, green onions, pickled ginger, and a fish cake in mine, in addition to the chashu pork, of course (several thin pieces). I LOVED the addition of the picked ginger--not something I've encountered in ramen before! For $10, you really can't beat it. The gyoza were good too, and you got six for $5, which is awesome. The only potential...I won't even say complaints, but hesitations, I guess, I have were that the egg was closer to hard than soft boiled, and the gyoza were steamed. Neither is a big deal at all--I was mostly just surprised by the steamed gyoza. I love steamed dumplings, but I've only ever seen gyoza pan fried (maybe I was supposed to specify and I missed it? Unsure). And they came with a sweet and sour or duck-type sauce instead of the standard vinegary dumpling sauce. But hey, they were still tasty, so I'm really not complaining. The service, the man was slightly rude and loud when we asked if we had to leave our dishes at the table or bring them up. Horrible experience. We came on a Saturday and were rudely told we needed a mask to walk 10 feet to the bathroom. While in the restroom with my toddler, the man who worked here muttered under his breath to another couple that we were with that we needed to keep an eye on our kid and if we break we buy. My child was in the restroom with me so we have no clue what he was referring to. She was well behaved for the 10 minutes we were there. I ordered the Chashu ramen for lunch and had no complaints to report. The ingredients and flavor in this ramen dish complimented each other well. The portion size was more than enough for lunch. The restaurant was not as busy as I would expect considering that this is one of the only ramen and sushi bars in close proximity. My buddy and I came here because we were craving ramen. We are from out of town (UT) and just seeing the sites. Honestly? Everything was gross except for the Gyoza. I got the Tonkatsu Ramen. The noodles tasted like they were straight out of a ramen packet (my buddy's chashu ramen actually had an uncooked clump), the broth was quite tasteless and luke-warm. Eggs tasted like they had been sitting in the fridge for awhile... The pork was fine.. Not to mention I found a hair in my ramen. Can't speak for the Sushi but the Ramen was terrible. It is pretty much order at the desk and then wait for food. I didn't have any issues with that, but you can't really expect much here. So what about the food... it is good. Nice quantity and great value. Wish it was steaming hot on the Ramen front, but I am used to good ramen and probably over critical about it. It is good decent food priced right. Not authentic Japanese ramen place I've ever been. This is the first place that I've ever been that will serve sweet and sour sauce with gyouza (you eat with soy sauce or raryu instead). I really like a lot about Kazue. I've been there a handful of times and work in the area. I've mostly had kimchi ramen and miso ramen. They are very flavorful. Suggestions, though, maybe be more welcoming and approachable at the counter, and a veggie ramen option and/or tofu? This last time I requested extra vegetables. I would have been happy with a little more veg and a little less noodles, but I dont think I did get extra veggies after all and didnt see a notation on my receipt indicating my request. Am not sure if the gentleman understood my request. Still, it is nice to have Kazue as an option and I always enjoy my soup when it arrives at my table. It really hits the spot. read more

This ain't it, chief. We won't be coming back. Came here for lunch today. Fiance and I were pretty excited as we recently moved here from the Bay Area and are ramen lovers. That being said this place was disappointing. Wish we had the experience other reviewers seemed to have had. Customer service was lacking. Felt like we were bothering them being there, it was cold and uninviting. There's also no real ambiance to speak of; No music, resulting in a cold, dead silence, aside from the slurping noises and clinking of dishes from other patrons... Felt like we had to whisper. It was awkward and uncomfortable. Ramen wasn't good. We could hear a MICROWAVE going off before we received our ramen (we ordered the chashu), which tasted exactly like Maruchan Beef flavored instant ramen. Greens in the ramen were limp and gross (like when you microwave them...), noodles were exactly like what you'd get from an instant ramen pack. Probably because it was. We ordered some sushi dishes which were okay and seemed fresh, but there are way better local places to get sushi from. Overall I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone and would suggest you just get some instant ramen instead if you're considering coming here. We came here while in town visiting Gettysburg. Our food came in a very disorganized manner (my entree, appetizer, his entree) but was fine. The real issue was the giant scene one of the employees created yelling at a very calm man whose food he messed up twice. The customer kept his cool and asked for a refund (after his food was sent back twice!) then sat with his family while his son finished eating. The employee kept running back to their table and yelling at them until they left. After they left the employee continued the scene by badmouthing the customers repeatedly to other people trying to eat their lunches. Overall, it was a very unpleasant experience. read more
