When searching for bakeries to try this hidden gem showed up on Google Mapa. Located literally…read morehidden in the garden centre it was a little hard to find but I did get to take a very cool flat escalator. I forgot how many cool nich-nacks were in this store so walking through it to find a bakery was a blast. A large variety of goodies with clearly marked flavors and prices was nice to see. I ended up with a mint choc chip meringue and a caramel square. The meringue was large and impressive looking. Definitely a looker but I wish the flavor was stronger and that there were Choc chips throughout and not just on-top. It was melting your mouth as expected. The caramel square was Amazing. Soft definitely homemade caramel on-top a soft cookie crust. The proportion of cookie to caramel was spot on. I would definitely buy the Carmel on its own if that becomes an option! Definitely a great spot to kill some time or look for unique trinkets and grab a tasty snack.

Ice cold drinks. Hot coffee. Cakes and sandwiches. Pretty much everything to snack on if you forgot to pack or prepare for your visit to the zoo. I ussually come in for the air conditioning bc edmonton summer dry heat can get to you if you dont have air conditioning. The place is big and bright. Great for people watching, it was amusing watching the kids play at the fountain from here. There is an outdoor patio as well. Overall its nice to have here. Conveinent. But the coffee is made poorly and its way way way too bitter. But at least now the zoo has a decent place to get a drink or snack in a jiffy. Bonus points: this place serves beer and wine.

This is a wonderful addition to Edmonton's vegan food scene. Fast food of all kinds - including…read morepizza, burgers, breakfast sandwiches, and more - all plant-based. The place itself seems a bit sterile, and you have to order via a kiosk paying with a card, and I found the process at first rather confusing. There was a person behind the counter who helped me. The food is reasonably priced and delicious, with a wide variety as I previously mentioned. If you are vegan, or vegan-curious, definitely check this place out.

This review is based on my experience at their new Vancouver, B.C. location…read more.. We've been wanting to visit Odd Burger's new Vancouver location since it opened in late November of 2024. When visiting Edmonton last May, we didn't find out until our last day about their Edmonton grand opening and thus ended up missing out .. oops I'm happy to say we were finally able to make it out this past Friday!!! Oh my goodness, this place rocks and really makes me yearn for a vegan fast food place in Seattle-area. I love how friendly the staff was and, how customizable your food can be. When ordering, you can place your order using one of the two kiosks available to patrons. The kiosks are big, bright, speedy, overall just super easy to use! Their breakfast options are available all day (nice!). We went with a Maple Crunch Breakfast Sammy, great sandwich combination of the english muffin, hash brown, tofu and, melty cheese! My wife ordered the Chickun Cordon Bleu, delicious hand formed seitan chickun filet, with ham, cheese and a perfect amount of mayo, enough to keep the bread from being dry but not so much that it was overwhelming. I chose the Bacun Famous Melt with a chickpea patty. So, this gives me an opportunity to detail how attentive and sweet the staff are. I mentioned earlier how customizable your options are. So, for example, if you wanted a gluten free option, when using the kiosk .. there wasn't a separate listing for a gluten free sandwich, instead you choose the type of patty and type of bun that you'd prefer (in addition to other aspects that you can customize). In this manner, you select the type of sandwich you're looking for but then select the gluten free options. I'm not gluten free but I was really curious to try their chickpea patty. A few minutes after we placed the order at the kiosk, one of the staff came over to verify if I didn't mean to order a gluten free bun as well (given that I had chosen a patty that happened to be gluten free) as well as asked about the bacun (as that too has gluten). I can't speak enough for that level of care and attention to me, as a customer .. *wow*! I'm glad I chose the chickpea patty, it did not disappoint, had a wonderful flavor and crisp bite, coupled with their house-made bacun and secret sauce . Well, what's not a secret is how delectable the sandwich was! We ordered two additional items, one of which was the Smokey Pulled Jack Tater Tot Poutine. This is easily large enough to feed two people, all kinds of flavors happening there ... some kind of poutine magic! Last, but definitely not least .. the Strawberry Shortcake Sundae. I need to emphasize that Strawberry Shortcake was one of my favorite desserts growing up and even way before veganism was a thing, this dessert wasn't the easiest to get right because it takes the right balance of ice cream to strawberry goodness and the cake, the amount and consistency of the cake is always what makes or breaks this dessert. Well, if I'm being totally honest ...this was 1,000% spot on, exactly as I remember my favorite dessert to be from back in the day. There was plenty of cake .. but not too much, and it was just the right texture to balance with the dessert, no joke! Odd Burgers has a number of locations throughout Canada. Locally, there's the one in Vancouver and another in Victoria. There's also a location in Calgary, one in Edmonton with another on the way, as well one in Regina (Saskatchewan) and quite a few throughout Ontario. That's good news because if you're visiting Canada, chances are there's one nearby to check out. I've heard rumblings that they might expand one day in Washington, no idea if that'll come to fruition or not but ... fingers crossed!!!
