The place was recommended to my wife and I by some friends and we finally made it a point to try it out, while doing so with said friends. Our friends recommended the Golbi and the 3 different flavors(Sweet&Spicy, Garlic, and regular) of their fried chicken. I must say, everything was delicious! The Golbi was grilled and marinated well, the chicken was crispy and had lots of flavor! The chicken itself does take some time to make, can't rush perfection, but overall the service was exceptional. We've recently eaten here twice. We had the crispy fried chicken, Korean ribs, and bulkogi all on the lunch menu. Very nice and well seasoned. These are not peppery although that is available if desired. I spent a year in South Korea and they like it really peppery. Accompanying the mains was sesame spiced glass noodle salad, tempura veggies and rice. There is also pickled daikon radish which we loved. The menu is reasonably priced and we'll continue to stop by when we are in town. The only detractor is that both times the tables were sticky. read more

But I don't because I don't wanna get burned out on how great the flavor is and how much I love to eat this particular food I have never had french fries that tasted sweet even with sweet potatoes. I came in Wednesday afternoon with my significant other to try out their Korean fried chicken. It wasn't too busy. when we walked in, there was one other person dining in and then two parties came in after us. The service was quick and pretty cool. The woman was kind of funny and silly 10/10. The place was tidy with a little window into the kitchen. On the tables were napkins, a little trash cup, and hand sanitizer ready for use! We got the spicy pork bulgogi and number 2 for the wings. I wish I had the chance to try out the flavors but for now this will do. The fried chicken was HOT and served right away!!! Juicy, crispy, and still flavorful. Solid Korean fried chicken! There's only 2 places in the area that serve Korean fried chicken and this is one of them. It reminds me of b.b.q chicken; it gets the job done. Joanne, the owner, used to operate New Korean in Marina for 17 years, and now she's brought her expertise to this new spot. It's easily one of the best restaurants in the area--if not the best in my opinion since the majority of restaurants in the area are chain restaurants. First, let me talk about my favorites. The beef fried rice is a must-try--flavorful, perfectly cooked, and always hits the spot. The Bulgogi is another standout, with tender marinated beef that's stir-fried to perfection. And as for their fried chicken with sweet chili sauce--WOW. The crispy coating combined with that sweet and spicy sauce is pure magic. I honestly haven't had food this authentic since I was stationed at Camp Humphreys in Korea. My family loves it just as much as I do. My kids can't get enough of the ramen, and my wife absolutely lives for the Dol Sot Bi Bim Bob. The stone bowl it's served in keeps the rice sizzling hot, giving it that perfect crispy texture at the bottom. We've made KB Chicken a weekly tradition! The food is so good, but what really makes this place stand out is how much of a gem it is in the Salinas/Prunedale area. My mom and dad tried this place and insisted that we eat here as well due to the delicious taste of everything they had. Honestly we would really never think to go to Prunedale because of all the places locally that we have however my mama said and mama knows best. When we arrived we were promptly greeted with a smile from the young man at the front of the house, he was friendly and polite (a little awkward but he was super young and trying) offered us a sample of the chicken, great touch! HOWEVER it was super super cold that made it rubbery, you want your samples to be fresh and enticing. You don't want that to be the impression (especially since it was So delicious hot) We knew we were still ordering some of the chicken and it did not stop the shine just a small suggestion. We ordered a full order of chicken, 1/2 sweet and spicy and 1/2 "slightly spicy " , TBH we did not taste the slight spice, but the naked chicken without sauce was absolutely phenomenal! Juicy and crunchy cooked to perfection, and the sweet and spicy was also delicious. However, it was incredibly saucy, like crazy, messy, saucy, & sticky and the napkins were rather thin. We cleaned out two of their napkin containers in one sitting we said if we did come back, we would only order the sauceless chicken or the soy glaze, either way it was pretty delicious just overly saucy for us. Chicken was just perfect. I did think charging a dollar for the dipping sauce when you're ordering a full order of chicken is a little steep especially when ordering that full order for $30 I think it should at least come with one sauce included with your meal. The spicy cheddar cheese was off the hook and I don't think I would've been annoyed by the one dollar if we could've at least dipped the chicken in the ramekin provided. I also ordered a second dipping sauce. I think it was the sweet honey. It was OK nothing compared to the spicy cheese sauce. Now to the beef Bulgogi, it was crazy good they served it with kimchi, pickled radish, and some sort of ginger marinated That was pretty fire. We really like the accoutrement of what they serve the food with. All the small refreshing sides really helps with the freshness of the food Overall, I feel they did a really great job with that. When you order the chicken, they do say that they have three sides selected for you by the chef, ours was a delicious miso soup, a salad / slaw And the pickled radishes that were pretty much my favorite and I would've ate the whole bowl if I knew it wouldn't of gave me crazy heartburn later, but that is just a sidenote lol I can't forget to talk about these french fries because they were crazy delicious and exactly what you want a french fry crispy soft fluffy and they had some sort of seasoning on them. That reminded me of Wingstop, but better at first my wonderful hubby said he couldn't taste the seasoning, but once they cooled down, he definitely could and we absolutely loved it. To be honest next time we go, I would just order some of those naked wings no drumsticks just flats with some of those fries and I would be a very happy camper. Overall, I do think this is a great addition to opening horizons there in Prunedale, growing up in the area I know it's a small community they're going to have to reach out to neighboring cities to really show off. I hope this review can do so for them as they do seem like a wonderful family owned and operated establishment , it is one thing that I do enjoy to support our community and the people in it whenever possible.
