9.4./10 Absolutely amazing Korean cuisine! We started with the Galbi, which was cooked perfectly! Tender, flavorful, and with just the right balance of sweet and savory. The Bibimbap was also excellent, loaded with fresh veggies, beef, egg, and sauce. The only minor downside was the egg being slightly undercooked, but the crispy rice at the bottom more than made up for it and added great texture. The Kimchi soup was hands down the best I've had! Perfectly balanced, not overly strong or spicy, and packed with flavor. The addition of pork belly was a huge plus and made it even more satisfying. Service was fast and friendly, and our server was incredibly sweet and attentive. The ambiance was nice and clean, family-owned, not too busy, and very welcoming. Overall, a fantastic experience and definitely a spot I'd come back to!

We were supposed to done at ichiban but unfortunately it was closed at the time we went there so we try this place for lunch. The place though small, have a good size for seating. Not a lot of aesthetic decorations but it's clean. The service was prompt and and our server is polite, just a little rush sometimes. The goods were good and we all liked what we ordered. I'll eat here again in the future.

I almost forgot to take a picture, I'd already eaten a bunch before I took this.

The fried chicken is delicious!!! I always go meaning to try one of their other choices but the chicken is just so good. The food comes out in two waves, first the wings then the drumsticks. Kinda wish they also had thighs but that's fine. Every time I've gone the staff is nice. The place is pretty small but comfortable.

I am visiting a friend and decided to grt korean's fry chicken. They are actually really good. Place is pretty roomy. Parking is excellent. I do recommend this place.

Service was friendly and knowledgeable. Prices were good and the chicken was hot and fresh. Better to call in your order ahead of time because everything is cooked fresh and you will have to wait if you order at the counter.

Menu pic, guess I deleted the food photo.

Tried this place with the family. It was pretty good. Went for dinner, the waiter was very helpful and friendly. The prices were a little more, but it's close by instead of going to San Jose. It's pretty small, but come again. I can see how some reviewers would comment on the unfriendly lady. Saw her in the back and yup, looks unfriendly. lol I'm sure it's a culture thing and they should keep the waiter dude to be their friendly face there. All in all a good experience.

Every time we drive home from Monterey, I always see the big red Yelp sign that reads best BBQ…read more That sign did its' job and it got me intrigued and grabbed my attention. We finally got the chance to check it out. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. The Prunedale Market is located along side the highway 101 freeway in the small town of Prunedale. It just takes a few long right turns to get there. Parking is easy and accessible out in the front parking lot. From the front, the market does not look like a popular BBQ spot. It looks like a simple small market store to grab quick snacks and drinks. Once inside there is a BBQ and deli section to your right. A small dining area is to your left. The decor is old fashioned and quaint. The 2 gentlemen greet you with friendly hospitality. We ordered the Tri tip sandwich, half slab of ribs which includes 2 potatoes and a cup of corn chowder. The pit master/owner Martin, who use to work for Original Joe's, was kind enough to also include a quarter chicken leg, a sausage, and extra ribs. It was so much food for our party of 3. Everything was delicious and hearty. The Tri tip sandwich was scrumptious with the flaming Fritos adding a nice crunchy texture and kick with every bite. The ribs were juicy and smokey. Potatoes complemented very well with the rest of the meat and chicken. Corn chowder was so tasty and creamy. I did not know corn chowder was that good. Overall we enjoyed our experience at the Prunedale Market. The staff were super nice and accommodating. They even offered for our son to grab some free ice cream to go. We politely declined. The prices were very reasonable. All that food fed us for the next 2 days. Lol. We hope to be back when we are in the area with other friends and family.

We came in at about 5:30pm the place was empty but clearly just before dinner rush hour. Firstly, the music was great! Awesome 90s and 2000 rock we came in? The staff was dancing and we joined in. Already gave us a great feel for the place. We got served super fast. We shared half a rack of ribs, the brisket and a potato with everything. The ribs were so good I didn't want to eclipse the taste with BBQ sauce and I appreciate they give you the option to decide if you wanna add it or not on your own. The brisket was really good too, not too Smokey but just right. The potatoe was surprisingly on the smaller side of a russet potato but I can't say I was disappointed. It was really good though I would recommend salting it a bit. The bacon shaves were a tiny bit burnt so their flavor was lost and wasn't very nice to chew on. Another recommendation will be to replace the bread you bring with the main dishes. The meat is so good while the bread is basic store bought. I'm sure you can do better, even a slice of corn bread would have been a really good side addition or a dinner roll. The bread was redundant and there was nothing interesting about it. We didn't even eat it. Service was great, fast and super kind. If we're ever around I'm sure I'll drop in.

This is a small local spot obviously it's in Castroville, but it doesn't take away from the friendly service and the tidiness of the restaurant itself. We walked in this Saturday evening and we're promptly greeted and told to pick a seat And we picked a lovely seat right by the large front window and we had a nice open window to get the air in. It was really welcoming per usual. It was very clean. The service itself was attentive, friendly, and fast. The same lady who is always working, was working this Saturday,I like her. She's always nice to us and my mom thinks she's the best. I'm mom loves this restaurant and she always wants to support them so when we get a chance we do come by to show some love now to the important part the food. Food was delicious. I actually started thinking to myself. How is this Restaurant not in the conversation in the best barbecue of the Central Coast? The tri-tip is delectable the brisket, his mouthwatering and the service is super good, so it is quite surprising to me. The only critique I could honestly give was the potatoes. My mom said that her scallop potatoes were still pretty hard. My potato salad was extremely hard, and I didn't mention the potato salad itself could use a little bit more sauce that might be personal preference and I do happen to make a mean potato salad so maybe I'm being a little overcritical, but my mom did kind of say the same thing so I think it's a fair critique. We had three meals (one was to go) they were all the same the combo platter, but there is different sites for everything as you see in the picture the potato salad, scalloped potatoes, steamed vegetables, french fries and baked beans were all of the things we had decided to try besides my mention of the potatoes, everything was delicious my mom is also mentioned that the macaroni and cheese is pretty darn good, but we didn't try it this time The french fries were out of this world. I wish I would've took a picture. They had some seasoning on there, but they were the bomb. You are definitely paying for the quality food you get as I mentioned we had three meals. My mom had a few glasses of wine. (3) I had a soft drink and a bottle of water and a tipped 20% and our bill was about 150 bucks. To be honest, preparing this meal at home would've been a lot more expensive with the different meat, selections and sides and not to mention the hours of prep that would've took and a good bottle of wine. We would've been well over $200 so me the value wasn't bad for not having to cook and getting some super good food . I feel bad I have it reviewed this place sooner because they deserve some good words written about them, they're doing good work. They have been open forever and that means something in today's economy to see local businesses staying open through these hard times please support them so they can continue to be open for their community... local or not you're doing a good thing by patronizing this establishment. Please stop by. I'm sure you will not regret it.

I tried most of the food and I had some mixed feelings: the katsu could not stand alone and needed the sauce, the Mac salad was lacking in flavor--maybe a tad too much on the sweet side. The loco moco was also a bit bland for me. The roasted pork was tender and tasty. My daughter liked the spicy kalbi fries-and my son loved the beef. This is a place mainly for take out. Only 2 small tables inside with a couple of larger tables outdoors. Plenty of parking in a shared lot with other businesses. Food-4/5 Service-4/5 due to the long wait time from the time in between ordering and the time I actually got the food I would come back again if I was in the area.
