Very clean. The gentlemen was very nice over the phone when I called to make sure that they were open and that they had my maple bars. But I have to admit, am very disappointed in the maple bars. My family and I were taking at an AirBnb house really close to K C Donut. I walked to the shop to buy a few donuts, there was so many different varieties. My intention was to only buy 4 donuts, ended up buying a dozen. The donuts were so good, fresh and moist. Of course we had donuts left over, but we saved it for the next day. Amazing the donuts was still moist the next day. The lady that worked at the place was so funny and nice. Very very friendly, greeted us right away. I noticed at the store the owner greeting the regulars and remembering their orders, I thought that was awesome. You know the donuts and service is great when their are regular customers. I'm from Minnesota and learned in California a lot of small owned business require cash for payment, so I made sure to always have cash on hand, so make sure to have cash on hand when going to K C Donut. I was craving donuts on New Years and couldn't find any place that was opened except KC Donuts. This isn't my usual donut place but I gave it a try. Walking into the place I wasn't very impressed with the selection. The donuts didn't look too appetizing and had a different color to them, but that's probably because they make it a different way. I looked at their chocolate bar and for a second I thought it was a "dark chocolate" bar since the color was much darker than the ones I usually buy at the donut place I go to. Anyways, it was pretty good. I was surprised that it was almost as good as my usual place. I was compelled to sign up on Yelp and write my first review because of this donut shop. I've been coming to this place for a while now. Connie has been running this little shop for years. The place is like any other family owned donut shop and she always has a healthy amount of regulars stopping by at all hours of the day. I can't remember a time I've visited a restaurant/cafe/shop where the owner knew most of her customers by name. I don't live very close, but I never mind making the drive down. There are two reasons that keeps me coming back: THE SERVICE and THE SANDWICHES (The donuts are a plus). Connie is always cheerful and happy to serve you. I always order the large sandwich whenever I come here. The options are simple and straightforward with Ham, Turkey, Roast Beef, and Tuna. At face value these are like any regular sandwich, but with one bite, you you can taste the special ingredients of time, effort, and most important of all, LOVE! The warm toasted buns come loaded with a healthy serving of fresh meat, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, onions, pickles and a side of banana peppers to give that extra kick. The sandwiches might seem smaller than say.. a six inch Subway sandwich, but it's packed to the top and more filling than a Footlong. These are definitely the best tasting sandwiches I've ever had (my mouth is watering as I write this). I also always order some donuts on the side, which I find are fresher and better than most. Prices are always cheap and remained the same since I can remember. Rarely do I ever find someone who loves her job and is as dedicated as much as Connie. Stopped in here randomly while on a road trip and having lunch next door at a Vietnamese place. I spotted what appeared to be a divey independent donut shop and boy was I right about K C. This donut shop is very well stocked even close to closing time. They posted a closing time of 1:30pm on Sundays, we showed up just before 1:00 and there was still a decent assortment of donuts. They have nothing too fancy as far as "trendy" expensive donuts but they have all the classics like dips, old fashioneds, eclairs, fritters. We bought a 1/2 dozen and the server threw in a few donut holes for us which was very generous. The flavors here are typical of these Cambodian-owned shops, balanced beautifully, not terribly sweet or rich, so you feel like you can have a lot and not feel disgusting. Even several days after buying the donuts they still tasted great. These little guys deserve your support so come! read more

Don't let the smile fool you! A donut is a donut. And these ones are costly! You can get the same kind of donuts anywhere else. I ordered 5 dozen 3 days ago and went to pay with a credit card because of the high price. She says - no credit cards. They are running a profitable high priced retail business, but too cheap to take credit cards? They should lower their price if they are cash only. It was my first and last time here and the sour-puss faced cashier then refers me to an ATM across the street because she says the fees are really low. So I go to use it and get charged $2.00. I have no choice because I'm on my way to work with the donuts for a special occasion. So I go back to the donut shop with the most sour-puss face I've seen in a long time and give here a wad of cash. And later I find my bank also added another $2.50 fee on their side! So this sour puss conned me into paying an extra $5 to buy her rinki-dink, cheapskate, run of the mill donuts probably from her buddy's ATM across the street. haha. I'll never go there again.
