I was so happy to have someone work with me who not only cares about achieving my dream hair, but also cares about the quality of my natural hair. She walked me through the process step by step before even touching my hair and was very transparent on the pricing which I appreciated. Not only do I have my dream hair but I have an entire salon full of ladies who feel like family. Shelby runs the salon in a way that everyone can feel welcomed, appreciated, and valued. My daughter is young and sees them as well. I always feel confident leaving her in their hands so she can practice her independence in an environment I can truly trust. The pricing on all services is MORE than fair and they will never do anything to your hair that could be detrimental in the long run to the integrity of your hair. I now drive a ways to them since I moved, but it's worth it because I'll never go anywhere else!

I had two consultations before my appointment and clearly explained that I wanted to keep my brown hair while adding two money pieces and subtle highlights. I even brought photos to show the exact color I was hoping for, and I was reassured that this look was achievable. However, I left the salon with brassy orange hair and an uneven haircut, which was the complete opposite of what I requested. I had spent a long time growing my hair, so having it cut unevenly and over-processed was incredibly frustrating. The service itself was also uncomfortable. During the bleaching process, the application felt very rough and my hair was pulled quite aggressively at the bowl, which was painful and concerning. After the blow dry, I was told I should come back in six weeks to fix the color, which was surprising considering the color was clearly not what had been discussed. It also felt strange to be asked to pay before the blow dry was finished, especially when the damage was already apparent. To their credit, when I returned, the senior educator and her assistant were much kinder and did try to correct the situation. I appreciate their effort, but unfortunately the final result still wasn't close to what I had originally asked for. I have had my hair lightened and colored at other salons before and have never experienced this level of discomfort or damage. Sadly, my hair now feels very compromised and the color is still not what I wanted. Because of this experience, I would not feel comfortable returning or recommending this salon. Below is a photo of what I requested compared to what I received. Truly disappointing. Total cost for damaged hair at Mirror Mirror:$1,094 + tip.

I'm beyond happy I found Jacob! Not only is he a genuinely nice guy and a pleasure to chat with, he is so good with hair!! He was able to take my black hair all the way to a gorgeous blonde and had expert skill with bleaching and toning the yellows out of my hair. It took several hours and two sessions to get it done, but throughout the process he was meticulous and careful, which showed in the final results: beautifully blended color, cut in a style that I love, and hair that feels as good as it looks. He was also super patient with all my questions about his process and offered advice regarding taking care of my hair and keeping it moisturized. He charges on the higher end ($70/hr) but I feel like it's well worth the quality of care and service that he provides. He is a true artist and someone I have complete trust with my hair on top of being super personable. Suffice it to say, I will be a returning customer!

The style? Slimming. I get more compliments on my hair than I EVER have now that I go to Jacob. I just can't say enough about him. I don't usually like people messing with my hair and I used to put off haircuts. I've never even reviewed a hair salon. However, Jacob makes me want to go. He's an outstanding listener and doesn't pull my hair as he cuts it (I just have a super sensitive scalp). Now, I look forward to my hair appointments. My husband discovered Jacob at a salon where he used to work, and we have followed him to two different places now! My husband has super sensitive nerves in his face due to a nerve disorder and even he says Jacob is great. Jacob does wonders with my husband's curly hair and makes him look about ten years younger. I loved his work so much, I decided to try him too, and I am so glad I did! Whether you want your hair cut short, or long and add in color, men's or women's styles, Jacob is the best stylist I've ever had. Try Salon Panda Panda today!

Really horrible first/last experience. I told Wendy numerous times I did not want my hair shorter…read morethan my shoulders, but I wanted dead ends cut off. Period, end of story. Not over the shoulders. I wear my hair up a lot. Admittedly, my hair was fried but the thing to do would be to get to where you can and have a conversation before continuing if it's going to not be what the customer wants. This didn't happen. She very easily could have cut 2 inches and said we should take more off - is that ok? Nope. Instead, she cut off a good 5-6 inches of my hair without saying a word. When I saw how much she cut off I freaked out a little and she just said "sorry". Half my head was already cut. She kept going. I went with it because at this point, what am I going to do? Leave with my left side 5 inches shorter than my right and still have to have it evened out somewhere else? Walk around like a crazy person until I can get an appt? I gave the benefit of the doubt, let her finish (like what choice did I have?) - even went so far as to pay cash and left a 20% tip bc she shared some personal things with me which made me feel bad for her, not because she did a good job. It's been a couple of days and I just washed & styled my hair as I normally do and it's just a mess. It's shorter than my shoulders and frizzy as heck. I contacted her to let her know I was unhappy and ask for a partial refund. She told me no refunds while repeatedly admitted she needs to work on her listening skills (as a hairdresser???). She also proceeded to insult me personally, tell me it would grow out, blah blah blah. So here's the lesson - treat your customers with a modicum of respect. I wasn't going to post a bad review until she started telling me my hair was the problem and not her lack of attention. I've had literally 30+ curly cuts from other stylists and never had this issue before, so this isn't just me being difficult to please. This is a hairdresser simply not listening to the customer and then being obstinate and insulting on top of it...despite admitting they weren't listening. Heck no. I look like a Q-tip.

I had very high hopes, but unfortunately I was extremely disappointed with both my experience and…read morethe haircut I received from Wendy. My appointment started 45 minutes late, and throughout the appointment she talked almost entirely about herself. I could have overlooked that if I had left with a good haircut, but I didn't. I arrived exactly as instructed on her website: hair freshly washed, dry, and with a light amount of product so my curls would be in their natural state for a dry curl cut. However, as soon as I sat down, she raked through all of my curls with her fingers, which completely defeated the purpose of getting a dry curl-by-curl cut based on my natural curl pattern. For someone advertising herself as a curl specialist, she treated my hair as if it were straight. I explained that I only wanted a small trim and help fixing uneven areas since I had been trimming my own hair for the last few years. I specifically remember her asking if I wanted "as little off as possible," and I clearly said yes. Despite that, she cut off approximately 4-6 inches of my hair, and that measurement is with my hair curly, not stretched straight. At that point I was honestly in shock. I didn't speak up because the hair was already gone and I assumed the professional knew what she was doing. If my ends were truly damaged enough to require that much length removed, that should have been discussed with me beforehand, including showing me exactly how much she recommended cutting. The haircut itself also felt very random and lacked any clear technique or structure. At the end, she sprayed water or product onto random sections of my hair, brushed parts of it again, and diffused it, but the final result looked frizzy, poofy, and poorly shaped. I went in hoping to finally leave a salon feeling good about my curls, especially from someone branding herself as a curl specialist, and instead my hair looked worse than when I arrived. I rarely leave reviews and I am not someone who enjoys criticizing people, but this was genuinely such a negative experience that I do not want someone else to go through the same thing. I lost years of growth that will likely take at least three years to regain, and I am still devastated over it.
