Action Heating and Plumbing is the best service in the area! My air conditioning kept freezing up. Dale and his team were able to isolate the problem with the air conditioner. I had called four other companies to come out and diagnose the problem and not one other company would do that. Just kept telling me to replace it and wanted a service call charge for essentially giving me a bid. Dale found the hard to find replacement coil and installed it saving me from having to replace my entire air conditioning system. Dale also verified I had a cracked heat exchanger. Dale the technician, came out to our house yesterday to look at our heater that is over 50 years old! Two days before Thanksgiving our kitchen sink developed a leak under the side without the garbage disposal. We are on well water and the round fixture that holds the sink basket was badly corroded. Robert showed up about a half hour after I called and went to work. He had to cut the part off and wasted no time installing a new basket and under sink parts. We had a leak in a pipe on a Thursday. My son told them he had to go to work and asked them to come out the next morning. They showed up UNANNOUNCED THURSDAY AFTERNOON. Okay, they were here so they looked at the problem. Service tech was rude and spoke down to me, then told me I owed $160 for his service call. They NEVER told my son how much the service call was. When my son called them Friday morning they said they couldn't come back until Monday. Fine. The same rude worker showed up at my door UNANNOUNCED Friday afternoon. I informed my son who called action plumbing, and they claimed they had called my son and kept getting a busy signal UNTRUE. They NEVER called. They said they would sent the service tech back out. He never showed up. After the BS from them we went with another company that SCHEDULED an appointment and QUOTED a service call price right off the bat. WE WILL NEVER USE ACTION PLUMBING AGAIN. Keep trying to get response from owner that installed a defective water heater approximately a year ago that has never worked correctly. Tenant has to light pilot daily. Action has been out numerous times and replaced parts as well as charged for service calls and labor. Two weeks ago service techs said the same part is bad but we have still not heard from owner regarding replacement or refund. These guys are the best. I need a water heater changed out on the same day I called. and they did the job on very short notice and the same day. A couple of days later I needed my Heat pump was not working and Dale got it going in just a few minutes. A few days later I need a plumber again and called the boys and they came out again right on time and did some test on a leaky toilet, however at the time they were there it did not leak, and they did not charge me for there trip out. Let me say start by saying that my furnace is old and hadn't been serviced in years. When a problem developed with the igniter during the Thanksgiving weekend they had someone out on Monday to help. I had him fix that issue and then come back the next week to clean out the blower motor and install a new filter grill. No upselling and the service was reasonably priced. Found out the gas wall heater needed replacement three days before holiday guests were set to stay in our granny unit for Thanksgiving ... Contacted Dale via the website and Robert was out the next morning. Said he could install a new unit as soon as he could get one from the warehouse. Gave us a clear verbal quote, explaining what all might need to be done and we gave him the green light. He made sure to get the brand we wanted and addressed all our concerns- super friendly and helpful. The next day Robert and Robert pulled the old unit, investigated the whole situation and did a beautiful install of the new one. Called five times over a week's period for a receipt so I could do my insurance claim. They'll keep saying they'll do it but don't. They claimed to have had the wrong email after confirming it. Ended up paying almost $2300 for a water heater replacement. $2300!!! Insurance won't cover it because they told my insurance it was a faulty installation despite numerous previous inspections by USAA and PG&E. No way of knowing because they have the old water heater. Brandon left before the job was finished!! We have been without gas ( heat and hot water) for four days now. The gas leaks detector person was here and finding eight leaks which Brandon fixed competently. Suddenly he said he had to go to another job around 3:30 on Friday afternoon and we couldn't find another emergency plumber. The leak detector had identified additional leaks for Brandon to fix. We are senior citizens in a very cold house with no heat and no plumber!! PGE won't turn the gas back on until all leaks are fixed! This is January! How can they accept a job and then abandon the customer? How were we to find a new plumber on Friday night? Action turned into NO ACTION!! Action plumbing has been nothing short of awesome! About a year ago we had the capacitor replaced on our about 12-14 year old central air unit. Dale did the replacement and was great! We were sure we'd need a new unit! Fast forward to this week, almost 3 months into shelter in place, hottest day of the month (97!!!) and our AC totally stops working! Three humans, two cats, and one dog were pretty miserable because of course it was Memorial day! They got back to us the next day and weren't sure they'd make it this week, but they called us back and squeezed us in the following day! They even called about three hours before our appointment and asked if they could come early.. um, yeah! Dale came along with another man and they first checked the thermostat, both men wearing masks of course! They went right outside to get to work and find the problem. Well, our unit is in full sun all day, every day! Our capacitor didn't really like the heat either and decided it was tired and didn't wanna give us AC! They got it back up and running in less than 10 minutes! They also refilled our refrigerant, and advised us we'd need some sort of shade for the unit. We're on it! Well, not two days later our dishwasher stopped draining! We didn't know if it was appliance or plumbing, and the appliance guys can't come until June 10th so we called up Action at 8:57am, they said they could be here between 9am and 11am! Awesome! He came around 10, checked it out and assessed that it was in fact an appliance problem and he couldn't fix it, but he went above and beyond and showed us how to manually drain the dishwasher if we needed to, he definitely was not required to do that! We have just completed installing a manufactured home. Action Plumbing &Heating was terrific to work with. We needed to convert appliances from Natural gas to Propane. They determined that one of the Appliances might need someone with more experience to do the conversion, explained that to me and asked about waiting until Dale was available. We needed help in installation of a toilet. It required a special tool, which we did not have. It was on a Saturday and we weren't sure we could find a plumber to come out. We called Action Plumbing. A competent plumber showed up today. He thought it might be the flange that was bad and not the seal. He planned to cut off the flange and replace it but when he removed the toilet and pulled up the wax ring the cast iron flange was so damaged that it came off with the wax! I was referred to Action Plumbing & Heating Maintenance by a colleague whose husband is a home inspector. I previously received an assessment from another company that informed me I had inducer motor leakage, improper burn from exhaust, a bad igniter, and a burnt circuit board. Dale (one of the owners) came out and did a service call and inspected my furnace. He explained to me what he was doing and what he was looking at during the inspection. He showed me the circuit board (no burn marks) and the igniter and how it was functioning just fine. I was informed nothing was wrong with my furnace and saved over $5000. I mentioned I had a plumbing issue and he told me the cost of the part and labor after examining my toilet and fixed that too. He even told me where to find a $25 off coupon for the visit and took that off the cost. $179, full inspection that saved me $5800 and fixed my plumbing issue.
