Food was so so and service wasn't good. Had to ask twice for lemons, no water refills, and slow on bringing the check.

Family went Sunday not busy service was awful!! There was 7 of us and everyone's food was so so bad I can't even begin to tell you just how bad it was!! I usually do not give reviews but it was that bad!! Hopefully they read them and make some big changes. Really awesome building but that's it. Oh and what was really bad it cost over $100 read more

I found the menu to be very limited against my expectations. For a restaurant to offer so little in the way of vegetables are healthy choices was quite a surprise. Obviously big on steaks and other proteins but just very disappointed that the menu was so sparse. read more

I came in a few nights ago pricing was a little high, I had the chicken fried steak and it covered my whole plate quite delicious which I feel like justified the pricing , but was informed they are growing there menus and desserts and told that the backyard will have its own menu only serving outside food as well as food for only inside! the view and live music was very delightful and can't wait to come back, I enjoyed talking with my waitress she was new and did a great job I believe her name was Nicole, I use to shop here before they turned the place into a restaurant and am amazed at the transformation of the place even had the Kearney's feed store sign out back! The place has only been open for about a month or so I will give them more time to grow within the work place but excited to see the new developments in the near future. read more

We decided to give this spot a try for dinner last night. After about a 30 minute wait we were seated. We passed several open, quiet 4 tops in the main dining area so that we (me, my husband, and 14 year old son) could be seated in the bar area (not our choice). This wouldn't have been so bad, except the table was on a wall between the door to the kitchen and the door to the backyard, and the bathrooms to the left. I told my husband that we must look like people they don't want in the front of the house. It was like eating in Grand Central Station, with constant traffic right next to our table and the back of my chair kept getting bumped into. They have no business putting a table there. I'm assuming you have to know someone to get a good table, because that's how it appeared as people were coming in chatting up the hostesses. The food was good. My son thought his ribeye was a little too fatty, but Hillstone's is his favorite ribeye spot, so he may be spoiled. He did really like the rolls, though. They forgot my husband's broccoli with his steak, and my blue cheese on my burger, but the waitress was very sweet and by that point I wanted away from that table, so we just let it go. The menu should state onion straws and not rings. I was expecting nice, big onion rings like you might get at Ozona's (yes, we eat out...ALOT), but they were thin little straws, but in rounds. That's very different. Overall, I would return with my husband to sit at the bar and have a cocktail & app, but I don't know that we'll do the dining in experience again. My husband's initial reaction after we were seated was "Never again!", but he thought the steak was decent, so he added a caveat. read more

Kearney's Feed Yard exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere was great and the food was amazing! I highly recommended this restaurant.

I'm a HUGE fan of this place. They would have 5 stars, but the service was a little slow- I understand being a new place. Food was fantastic and well worth the wait. Manhattan and Old Fashioned cocktails - PERFECT. Lovely people and great conversation with staff and other guests. I look forward to seeing you again soon. read more

NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL - Looks like they are trying to bring fine country dining to Sunnyvale, and have failed miserably. I was seated quickly in the cocktail area, and it took about 10 minutes to even be approached by a waiter. I observed about a dozen waiters working, and considering the number of seats, I don't see how any of them made fair money. Once I placed the order it took well over 30 minutes for the food to arrive, yet there were plenty of vacant seats. People were seated all around me after I placed my order, and they got their food long before I did. Observed some very young lady, dressed better than wait staff, that appeared to be the MOD constantly walking around with a smart phone to her ear. If she would have asked, I would have given her an ear full, but she never did. Food was OK. It is basically a high-class Dairy Queen. read more

Not much to offer! Visually it is a mishmash of decor that doesn't work. And in the room aside the entrance, there is carpet! Shaggy looking carpet. The menu is not large. It is an odd jumble of offerings that are not cohesive. Not seeing anything really appealing, we ordered the chicken fried steak. It came with mashed potatoes and a mainly lettuce green salad. All of the food is just okay - not tasty, but not awful. It is really sad that in this area of the metroplex, there is not one decent, non-chain restaurant. read more

Went there for the first time today and sat outside. Very nice ambiance but that is all I can say good about it, took well over an hour and a half to get our food. Took a half hour just to get drinks. My pizza never came out, finally had to get the manager who had it out in 5 minutes to go since we had to leave. And then I was able to eat it while we waited on the check. The pizza was definitely not worth the wait, very bland and only had like 10 pepperonis on it. Another person at the table got a salad and it took at least 15 minutes to get the ranch dressing for it. 3 other people at our table never got their salad and our friends at the other table ended up having to cancel their order. They did comp some of our food but that still did not make the experience worth it. read more

I had the salmon with the spinach and thought the flavor was awesome. The tortilla soup was good at the bottom of the bowl. Too many crunched up chips on the top. My friend had the ribs. Lots of meat but thought they were dry and lacked flavor. Side of broccoli was pretty much raw. Wait staff was very friendly and tried very hard. Just need more time and experience. I will be back. The two stars are for service. She did inform us it was her first day. We understood and she was very fast. Only issue was she got a couple things wrong in the orders but we didn't say anything because we kind of wanted to leave ASAP. You can see the pretty backyard outside and tell their main customers are bad visitors. Not a soul in the packed bar had a mask. None of the waitresses including ours had masks and were inches from people. The restaurant itself was empty. Looks like a lot of remodel, but our food was terrible. Chicken fried steak,( we ordered chicken), the potatoes were cold as ice and I actually ordered mac and cheese. The salad was without dressing until we asked. The worst was the bread or toast that came with it was terrible. Not sure what flavor it was but never again. I had been warned that this was a bar like place more so then food, to mainly go for beers and burgers. I should've taken that advice on both the food and restaurant area. It was just me trying to support a local business and check it out once. Would never go back. Hostesses were sitting down on their phones and caught another in the bathroom on the phone on top of the sinks. Tab was $80 for two kids and adults. Meal was worth maybe $40. My family and I have been wanting to eat at this restaurant ever since it opened but decided to wait a few weeks and catch them on a day they weren't as busy. We went in on a Tuesday night and it was busy but not overly hectic. We were seated outside as requested and patiently waited 20 minutes without a single person asking us if we were being helped. I finally had to ask a random employee if we could get someone to help us. I watched as he walked up to the waitress, who looked over at us, made a face and still did not walk over and acknowledge us. A few minutes later she came over and explained to us that no one told her we were sitting there, when she can clearly see us. Keep in mind we have been in the restaurant now for about 30 minutes, no drinks, nothing. She takes our food order, and we are waiting close to an hour and I finally asked for the manager (Chris).We explained our situation and within 5-10 minutes of making him aware, our food arrives. We arrived at the restaurant at 7pm, she takes our food and drink order at 730 and we get the food at 830. For the prices they are charging in there, this is terrible service and unacceptable. I hate to give this review because I am a Sunnyvale resident and want our local businesses to do well but this was terrible service for extremely high prices. Lackluster at best. The food was decent, but not great. It was missing seasoning badly! My wife didn't finish her steak sandwich due to lack of flavor, it needed some kind of sauce. My CFCH was mostly grease and white sauce(I call it sauce because as a Texan I know gravy should have much more flavor than that) and unseasoned mashed potatoes. The service was just as bad, so many employees with masks pull down(a few kitchen people weren't wearing any, I saw as I passed by and glanced in)or in the case of apparently anyone who worked behind the bar not having to wear one at all? How is that possible, I work in restaurant industry and know that masks are required for guests when they walk in, but mandatory for staff to wear! Worst of all there was absolutely no manager in site! Like I said I work in the restaurant industry, so I do completely understand being short staffed, and being caught at bad time, however first impressions are critical during this time in our industry. read more

Went here tonight. They have a lot of kinks to work out, the usual restaurant stuff. The thing I want to write most about though is the staff. No one, I mean no one, greeted us. We walked all the way to the back before a bartender finally said hello. We passed about 7 wait staff before we were greeted by the BARTENDER! The manager was the rudest of all of the staff. We had a large group, about 10-12 and we were buying drinks, ordering food etc. we had a pretty large bill and we wanted to add another small table to accommodate our group. We were told by the manager, Chris, that it was against the fire code??? I have never heard of anything so ridiculous. He was very rude to us and was NOT accommodating. His tone was condescending; He actually told someone in our group that he didn't want Mesquite people in there. I hope he loses his job here. He doesn't belong here. Waited about a month before trying this place out and was not impressed! Menu was very limited not a lot of options... seems very high priced I ordered this New Mexican pork dish and they came back and told me they ran out so had to order something else ended up getting a Pork chop. It only came with one side which was a salad.... probably the saddest Salad I've ever seen.... lettuce crutons and a sprinkle of cheese. You could tell the salad came out of a bag. The service was fast tho the pork chop came with what it seem like a warm apple yam and that was honestly the highlight of my meal. My wife got a chicken fried steak and that was okay nothing out of this world. The Mac and cheese we ordered for my daughter was pretty good. The prices were way to high for me only getting one side and a dinner roll (store bought) to share between 3 people. When your competing with places like road house and salt grass you definitely have to be on top of your game and at least for me I would prefer to go to roadhouse where I know I can eat fresh made rolls before even getting my meal. The wait was 45 minutes to an hour and they asked for our cell phone number to tell us when our table was ready but never received one. we had to go up to the front just to get our table. there was a couple who walked in right behind us that never got seated but everyone after them got seated instantly. the steak was decent you can cook one better at home. and the steak did not come with sides it only came with a ceasar salad or a house salad you had to pay extra for regular sides which should come with the steak. we ordered the sides and the mash potatoes were very bland with no type of seasoning it almost tasted like oatmeal and the loaded baked potato was not very good as well and i am not a picky eater. the food was probably a little over priced for the quality food they were serving. and i also noticed the pizza they served look like pizza you can get from walmart and cook in the oven. other than that our server was on point and got everything out when we asked. read more
