This is a great place to get away from the crowds and get a drink. With LIVE bands and dancing Fri and Sat and Karaoke Tuesdays and Sundays you can't go wrong. The Fri and Sat night dinners from 6-8 boast some of the cheapest home cooked meals you can get. Check out the calender of events on the website to see what bands and what food will be served up for the night. We need more places like the KM Moose Lodge.

RAISED BY WOLVES @ UTC LA JOLLA…read more Raised by Wolves is located inside UTC La Jolla, tucked away in the very back of the mall near the Din Tai Fung area. I would definitely recommend parking around Corner Bakery or near 24 Hour Fitness for the closest way in. This was my very first time going to Raised by Wolves. I made a reservation on OpenTable, and if you are reading this right now, I highly recommend booking one. When we got there, the wait was two hours for people without a reservation. I booked for 9 PM on a Saturday night with my friends after dinner. We actually arrived at UTC earlier than expected, so we let the host know and they let us in about 20 minutes early. As for parking, they do not validate here. Parking is free for the first hour and then two dollars per hour after that, so just be aware that you may end up paying for parking when you visit this bar. It is set up like a speakeasy, which is really cool. You get to see where the actual bar is hidden. We ended up ordering a bunch of cocktails and the drinks were super great. I really loved the vibe overall. It was lively and chatty, and the staff was super friendly. The ambiance is very dark and classy. Keep in mind they do not serve food here. It is purely drinks only. Overall, I would definitely recommend stopping by.

The iconic geometric wood ceiling, dramatic chandelier, and moody lighting make the space feel effortlessly cool. The craft cocktail program is legendary, and the elevated gastropub menu is just as impressive, the grilled octopus was tender with a wonderful smoky char, the Jidori chicken was remarkably juicy with perfectly crispy skin, and the sea bass was delicate and flaky. Taking off one star because street parking along India Street can require quite a bit of circling during peak evening hours, and the dining room gets rather loud and dim once the crowd settles in. Still, an absolute San Diego staple and a top choice for a stylish date night, late-night craft drinks, or dinner with friends.

Parking is a nightmare good luck finding parking within a mile of the restaurant. Pros: atmosphere, drinks, service Cons: food wasn't great for the price, restaurant was small and crowded, no parking Service: All of our servers were friendly and very accommodating. Gave us some knowledge on the menu and recommended cocktails based on our preference. I had spilled my drink and they were quick to make me another one. Food: I had intended to get the prime ribeye cap steak but they ran out for the night around 8pm. I shared the steak sampler which came with four different cuts of steak and 4 sauces. I ordered medium and it was cooked medium/medium rare which was fine with me, it also had a good sear, almost burnt though. Out of the four steaks, we only liked two based off flavor and tenderness. The other two were more tough and gamey. None of the sauces really stood out but the bordelaise and horseradish were good. For our sides we got fries, roasted broccoli, and the grilled wedge salad. Fries were average. The roasted broccoli had really good flavor, I expected the broccoli to be al dente but it was cooked to mush and drenched in sauce. The grilled wedge salad was decent, there was a slightly bitter taste to it. I know it says grilled wedge but the experience of biting into the salad and it being both hot and cold was not pleasant. Cocktails: I tried the Honey Ryder and New Wave. These were recommended as the more fruity/sweet cocktails. You can definitely taste the alcohol but it's only 2oz so it's not too strong. Ambience: 10/10 I got seated downstairs by the bar. Only thing about downstairs is that it's too dark to take photos unless you use flash. Overall, I agree with the other reviews saying to go just for drinks and appetizers. I would go again just to sit upstairs and get drinks and take pictures. We left unsatisfied and ended up getting in-n-out after.

This one is long overdue--not that they need my review, because by now everyone already knows how amazing this place is. What keeps me coming back is the combination of great music, an energetic vibe, outstanding service, and some of the most creative cocktails you'll find anywhere. Tonight was girls' night out, so we decided to order the prettier, and sweeter cocktails. But don't let the sweet flavors fool you--they are definitely generous with the alcohol. These drinks may taste dangerously easy to sip, but they pack a punch! I don't even remember the names of the cocktails we ordered, but honestly, that doesn't matter because the menu changes so often. And that's one of the things I love most about Music Bar. Every visit brings something new, fresh, and exciting to try. Both of my drinks were absolutely delicious, with the perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors. I honestly don't know how the bartenders come up with these combinations, but kudos to the team for constantly pushing their creativity while still making every cocktail incredibly well balanced. Whether you're a first-time visitor or a regular, Music Bar never disappoints. I'll definitely keep coming back to see what new creations they come up with next. Exceptional Hosting by Keagan at Side Bar and Gaslamplighter!…read more If you are planning a corporate event, team-bonding outing, or just looking for an unforgettable night out in San Diego, you absolutely need to visit Side Bar and Gaslamplighter. Our team was in town for our quarterly QBR last quarter, and we went out afterward to let loose on the town. We randomly came across Side Bar on a Thursday night and met Blake the manager who introduced us to Keagan, who completely transformed our entire trip. He was the ultimate curator! He immediately assessed our group's vibe, realized we were out for team bonding, and invited us right in, securing a fantastic VIP booth for my team. After a few shots and grooving to great music, he personally ushered us over to Gaslamplighter for a change of scenery, where we spent the rest of the night enjoying amazing drinks and live karaoke. The experience was so incredible that on our second night out, after hopping around various other bars in the Gaslamp Quarter, our team unanimously decided to end our night right back at Side Bar. Once again, Keagan took flawless care of us. He hooked us up with another booth and a few bottles. We happened to be celebrating a team member's birthday that night, and Keagan made it unforgettable. The staff brought out the full VIP treatment with bright sparklers and "Happy Birthday" signs to close out the night in style. What makes Keagan so special is his attention to detail. Even while working a packed club and making his rounds to ensure everyone was taken care of, he constantly circled back to check on our group. He made every single person on our team feel incredibly important and looked after on both nights. We walked away with fantastic pictures, amazing team memories, and a strong desire to return. Shout out to Keagan and the exceptional teams at both Side Bar and Gaslamplighter; memories were truly made! I highly recommend these venues for any group outing in downtown San Diego.

The place has a nice vibe and our table came with a liquor bottle of our choice, champagne and a cute board+slide show of our bride. The only reason why I'm giving it 3 stars is because I don't like how they allow everyone to the back once it gets busy. We had people trying to get on top of our reservation and there was a lot least 2-3 areas where people threw up around us that wasn't cleaned. It became VERY crowded and honestly uncomfortable, it didn't seem like there was any staff moderation for people being overly intoxicated or over capacity. The place is beautiful but I just had better experiences even at smaller venues.

-- 10 STARS. PERIOD…read more Just pulled up to Pushkin Bar & Hookah Lounge in Gaslamp Downtown San Diego... and let me tell you -- this place hit me straight in the nostalgia and the luxury receptors at the same time. I first visited this spot 12+ years ago when I was living in the San Diego area. Back then it was basically the holy temple of traditional Russian & Ukrainian cuisine -- the one and only in downtown SD. Very authentic, very -approved. That cute fancy borsch was literally to die for. And yes... you happily paid big $$$ because authentic Russian grandma cuisine is not supposed to be cheap -- it's a cultural investment Fast forward to today -- I walk in and BOOM They transformed the whole concept into a super chill house hookah lounge + fancy executive bar vibe... yet somehow still managed to keep those legendary Russian gem dishes on the menu. That's what I call strategic evolution. And wait -- plot twist -- they added a full-scale sushi menu. From pelmeni to premium rolls... this place is now basically a geopolitical peace treaty on a plate. If you're Russian from the hood -- you simply MUST pull up. Order the $30 pelmeni dumplings (mandatory ritual). Top them with black caviar if you're feeling oligarch-level fancy -- I mean why not, live once What they've done here is honestly genius: They took old-school grandma recipes... put them in a luxury outfit... added hookah lounge energy... sprinkled executive bar aesthetics... and created a serious relaxation & dining destination. Perfect spot to unwind, talk business, vibe out, or just pretend you're important -- works every time. Huge respect and special thanks to Julia -- the host & bar boss. Top-tier service, warm energy, yet still operating in full professional boss mode. Love to see it. Also respect to the main boss himself -- and yes, go check his stand-up comedy next door. Let's be honest... he might actually be the only funny performer in the whole joint But hey -- quality over quantity. If you've never been -- you absolutely must go. Authenticity + reinvention + vibes = rare combo Amen
