The only problem now is the way they're skimping on chicken on their chicken plate. There were times in the past when I couldn't even eat all of the chicken. Now, there is never enough. Tonight's dinner included approx 5 bites of chicken the size of a quarter. This isn't even a full serving of meat. It was maybe 1/2 of a chicken breast AT BEST. This is not acceptable. My husband and I were craving lamb or a gyro, so we finally gave this place a try and boy are we happy we did! We both ordered lamb wraps, mine spicy and his normal. I also told them I eat dairy-free and they remembered not to put and tzaziki or other dairy-based sauces. They literally grill your order after you make it, so you know what you're eating is fresh. They add tomatoes, spring mix, and onions as well as tzaziki, a spicy sauce, and a cilantro sauce. There are also some spices added like mint, coriander, and cayenne. The wrap is such a good price, but I noticed many of the orders we saw were rice plates so we'll have to try that next! Plenty of parking around! They serve drinks and sides in the coolers to the side for you to choose from. I ordered the plate of lamb for $9.99 with 2 sides. When I received the food, I was a little shocked by the lack of meat. I ordered the potatoes in tomatoes and chickpeas. At 1st I was a little disappointed but after I consumed my food, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality, taste and overall satisfaction. I wasn't full but it was definitely enough food. I tried the beef kabob, dirty rice and spinach and they were all amazing. It was an upcharge of $4.99 to get double meat and after discussing it with my cousin, I understood the philosophy. They were trying to keep most items under the $10 threshold, but for double lamb, it would have cost $14.98 and double chicken plate for $12.98, which is comparable to most other mediterranean places around. I went there because of its high rating. But no other high ratings can be as deceiving. The restaurant can call itself greek but it is not an Afghan food or experience. I ordered Chicken Kobida since I have eaten it hundreds of times in multiple countries at Afghan and Iranian restaurants. But their Kobida was just tasteless. I ended up eating very little of my meal despite being hungry. Service was also a problem. It took them 30+ minutes and multiple reminders. They kept trying to give me something else and each time I remind them of what I had ordered. This cycle went on four 4 times. Even when there was no customer left at the store they did not know what I have ordered although they had charged me already and printed a slip right in front of me. I've been here a couple times before and have had much better experiences. The kebabs used to be very flavorful and portions generous. We ordered takeout here and were excited to try out their salmon plate, paneer kebab, ribeye kebab plate, and additional ribeye kebab. We also ordered the baba ganoush and roasted eggplant. The salmon kebabs were by far the best, cooked medium-well, with a gentle seasoning that allowed us to taste the fish. Quite good. Additionally the eggplant dish was a star - extremely flavorful. And that was about it... The ribeye kebabs were super over-cooked, slathered in sauce. The additional $8.95 ribeye kebab was also dry a tough, and we only got 4 tiny pieces. The paneer was tough and tasted like super-firm bland tofu. Every component seemed saturated in oil and sauce, which itself had an odd sour taste. While usually our favorite, the baba ganoush was super bitter and tasted burnt, unlike any other baba we've tried before. I tried a couple pieces of pita with it and then couldn't eat anymore - it was SO bitter. Regrettably, while this place was a great experience before, maybe something changed here. From my limited experience, the eggplants and potatoes are prepared the Afghani way, but I could be wrong! All these three sides are fantastic, topped with yogurt and cilantro sauces. Not a big fan of their baba ganoush though. You can get a good portion of these sides for as less as $2.99! Be ready to wait for awhile as the kebabs are grilled to order. This is a tiny restaurant where everything is served to-go style in foam boxes even while dining in( they have a few tables on the patio). One less star because it could be a lot more neater and cleaner. None of the tables were clean when we picked up our food around dinner time. I tried the lamb and the seasoned beef. Both meats were executed to perfection and seasoned just enough to compliment the dish with thier respective sides. One side was a salad and the other was a chick pea with a sort of marinera sauce. Very light and super refreshing. We also tried the humus and it was also delicious!
