I was trying to donate for the first time, while the staff was all very friendly, the process is lacking. First, they made me leave to eat something, then when I came back they made me go through the whole process before doing the medical screening. It was only then, after almost 3 hours, I was told I couldn't donate because of one of the meds I take daily. This med wasn't on the list of prohibited meds. The medical screening should be one of the first things done, so people won't waste their time. read more

To the manager at Ked Plasma..you and your staff are controlling the outcome of prescreening by rigging the cuff taking pulse reading... when I asked Natasha..she openly admitted to be able to control pulse reads by using smaller cuff size or putting it on tighter than needed where a $70 is paid upon a successful donation... MANY times I fail with a100pulse which I now find an acceptable #..where before was not.Was told by a Nurse who signs off on clients to Donate..that""'yes we can alter results by placement of cuff and using a smaller size.. Referral $ was delayed as well I'm put on hold when calling in the next morning only to arrive at the facility 50 minutes later still on hold... manager furious... All the one star reviews are hilarious to me. I love this place! I never have to wait long to donate at all, I'm usually in a seat within 20 minutes of arriving. The staff has never been less than pleasant to me and they thoroughly answer any questions I have, whenever I have had them. I won't be returning to this center again. Every time I come in my temp is 98+ when it's checked upon walking in the door. I get the same reading at home before coming here. It takes 5 minutes to answer the questions at the kiosk and when I get to the check booth my temp is at 96.3. A dead body doesn't drop 2 degrees in 7 minutes. They need new equipment because I can say with 100% certainty that my body temp is never below 97.5. I've waisted too much time here. I'll drive further and go to Grifols. Avoid BPL Plasma at all costs, unless you enjoy having your time wasted. Tried to go in on 10/30/19 as a new donor, but was told they weren't taking any more new donors, since the person that does the physicals was leaving early that day. Tried again on 11/8/19, and with only two new donors ahead of me, it took 2 1/2 hours to even get looked at due to being short-staffed (surprise) and their IT system running super slow, only to be told I couldn't donate because of a visual disability that had no effect on my blood. I've had no issue with it donating blood/platelets/plasma in years past. I was told they had to reach out to another department before they could allow me to donate, but should only be a day's response and can come back on Friday (instead of Thursday, since the person(s) doing physicals is not in on that day - notice a trend?). Friday 11/8/19, I go back in.. and they supposedly still haven't received a response. Now, they tell me I have to wait until Monday 11/11/19 to call for the chance of possibly coming in to donate.. on the following Saturday 11/16. Called to their medical desk on 11/15 and was told I'm good to come in on 11/16 to finally donate as I've cleared. Come in on 11/16 - *ALL TOGETHER NOW* - "We aren't taking new donors today because we don't have anyone in to do the physicals.." There is a difference between "having high standards" and finding any reason to keep perfectly fine new donors from donating.. or for that matter, finding any reason to get out of actually showing up to work. read more

My husband went to donate for the first time there and after he was done with medical they denied him because of his face tattoos. I feel he was stereotyped and discriminated against. I honestly got to say I'm glad I chose to come back here. I used to come here all the time but then I moved out of the area I chose to come back and I am very glad that I did. I like how they get u in and get u out as quickly as they can, they have plenty of staff on the floor to help or to answer any questions, Marisol and Zaira are the best, they get the job done and keep a smile on there face while helping out as much and as many customers they can. if I could there would be no stars for this place but her we are with one .where does one begin with this establishment. first off let's talk about how the employees are over worked used like mules to keep production high for management to hit their quotas and bonus . Second off the employees get paid little to nothing for the work they do and the work load given to them because MANAGMENT LIKES TO SIT at a computer and watch the employees from the cameras in the facility . Third of all when asked for help no one goes to help from managment . Let's talk about how much drama there is within the facility and how the regional manager does nothing to help , let's talk about the unstable employees that go off on co-workers and yet nothing is done . A workplace is a safe place and this establishment doesn't look out for their employee but does the opposite. Management has no answers to problems that happen rather than just sweep everything under the rug . lets talk about how the company also doesn't fire anyone but yet loves to see their employees breaking point and walk out because it's better to have a short underpaid staff than being held responsible for unemployment. I have been going here for about 2 months and I have to say it is by far the cleanest and nice friendly staff workers and phlebotomist and I I think sometimes our machines might be a little off because they have you do vital retest and they jump from one to another song but other than that I highly suggest BP all over other plasma center and they give you bonuses every month read more

Short staffed, employees walking around complaining about their jobs and other coworkers within earshot of the donors. Preferential treatment. There is no order in this place. They need to assign sections and require their staff to work in order of who was finished first. Not who they want to laugh and kee-kee with. I was finished with my donation and the not yet a technician (as I was told by another staff member) walked over to me, looked at the machine then walked off and went and helped someone else. After she left that person, she walked over to yet another and helped them. Now considering the fact that I learned that she was not yet even a phlebotomist, she should have been on top of getting people off of the machines in the order that they finished. So when I say something about it, she and another male employee were talking and making a joke about the fact that I finished first but they were gonna get to me last... I found their actions to be rude and disrespectful. It was bad enough that they were so short staffed that they were closing an hour early. But to give someone eye contact and laugh about your lack of respect for their time is absolutely disgusting. I won't stop at posting this review. I will be writing a letter to BPL's corporate offices. If you are that miserable with your job and you can't be respectful of all people, you darn sure shouldn't be working with the public. I do however want to give a kudos to the technician that came all the way from Surprise only to work two hrs.! She was so kind and polite. I'm over this place. I've been coming here for several months now, staff is extremely nice. Marco, Verónica and Kassandra always greet me by my name. The phlebotomists know what they are doing. I have been to this location now 7 times and still have not been able to donate. Visit #1 they told me me because my last name was hyphenated on my DL and not on my SSI card I couldn't donate without my marriage cert. Visit #2 they told me I had to come in before 11 to have time to be processed. Visit #3 they told me they weren't taking any new donors. Visit #4 the medical director was leaving so they couldn't have any new donors. Visit #5 I stood at the front counter with all my documents for 15 minutes a d was completely ignored by all staff until I left. Visit #6 I went in during the week thinking my Saturday is just to busy for new donors, I went in a out 11am allowing 7 hours and again was told the medical director was leaving and no more new donors for the day, they did have me fill out a form to receive a text to come donate the next day if new donors were being excepted. A few hours late not Saturday , I receive d a message that new donors were being except if I could come in, I replied and asked if I was suppose to come now or tomorrow and was told to come between 8 and 9am. I went today at 830am and again was told they had to many new donors and would most likely be there until after closing, I was ok with that as long as I would actually be able to donate. 5 minutes later, a young lady came back and said they weren't taking any new donors and again to fill out a form to get a text if they were able to have me come back after 12. No text, no donation. I think I will stick with CSL at lest there I am actually able to donate and save lives. read more
