Always trying to find new places. So here we are! They have a generous happy hour from 2-5. Lasts until 6:30 if you sit at the bar or patio. Starts again at 8 pm. We were greeted and sat immediately upon entering. Orders and drinks were quick to follow. They have pictures of local sport teams from 1913-1935. Pretty cool. Brianna was our server and she was excellent! Very attentive. Never an empty glass. Good suggestions. The food was wonderful. The garlic bread was amazing! We ordered sweet potato fries -- they were burnt which I'm willing to give that another chance. Then, we ordered an appetizer -- let's just say they could really consider using better ingredients. Went to Keegan's for dinner last night...hadn't been there in a while. Our waiter was excellent. Wine was very good and a brand I really like. Husband's turkey burger was very tasty. I had the filet mignon and it was so very tough. After a while I just got tired of chewing and pushed it aside. The waiter came back and I mentioned my dissatisfaction with the meal and they did give me my meal for half price. Not sure what is going on with this place since it was almost empty on a Saturday night....but I think the steak situation might have something to do with it. I know we will not be going back for a while since that is what I like to order when going there. Came for dinner at 4pm with my husband & his family to celebrate my birthday. There were four of us. From the minute we sat, it took awhile for our waitress to come by. Finally she came & took our drink orders. Took her about 8 minutes to come back & finally take our orders. My husband ordered Fish & Chips (fish was dry, no taste & fries were soggy). I had the Chicken Madeira (no taste & very greasy). Brother-in-law had the Flatiron steak (blah tasting). Sister-in-law had salmon (dry & overcooked). Oh then we all had to ask for our silverware! Not really the kind of birthday dinner I expected with bad service & tasteless food. This restaurant really needs to get a better cook/Chef!!! Never coming here again. read more

Went just before 4pm, so they still had the lunch menu, and the place was not busy. Ordered wings as an appetizer. I asked for all flats but they said they came pre-packaged so you couldn't specify a preference. We got four legs and only one flat. They looked good, but the legs were still bloody at the bone. The waitress took them back to her manager and they offer to redo them. We were a little put off on that idea so just moved on to the meal. I ended up ordering the Thursday Special which was a NY strip, cheese potatoes and steamed vegetables. The cook in the steak was medium rare as asked, but almost one 1/4 of the steak had so much grizzle it couldn't be chewed. The vegetables were cold with no seasoning. When the waitress did come to pick up my plate, she didn't inquire if we liked it, or why so much of my dinner was still on the plate. As the manager never came by apologize for the wings, I thought asking to speak to someone about our experience would fall on deaf ears so we paid the bill and left. We love Keegan's! The rosemary chicken is to die for. Just all of their food feels home cooked and the portions are perfect. It's so nice to have real fresh, real food. My son loves the steak sandwich. The basil sauce is delicious. It doesn't taste like it came from a food service and just heated up. It's a real true restaurant you can take your whole family to. My son is 9 and it's his favorite place to go after practice. The staff is awesome and the specials are always a treat. My son and I love coming here when I just don't feel like cooking but we want real food that tastes like I cooked. They had a loaded baked potato for Wednesday and it's HUGE and fully loaded w sirloin on top. You have to try it. read more

Today was our first day out after a long quarantine. We were disappointed to see there are no social distancing and employees were not wearing mask. When we asked what the procedures were, we were told they are at the Managers discretion. I am pretty sure the State and restaurant Association have more restrictive guidelines. Used to like this place!! Both waitstaff and food sadly diminished last visits and to-go orders. I was in a wheelchair - temporarily - waitstaff couldn't figure out how to seat us!!! I am VERY diabetic - was served 7up instead of club soda - replaced at their casual leisure along with LOTS of attitude!! Nasty Ceasar so overdressed and lettuce so oddly cut it was inedible. No offer to replace, take off check or replace. Salmon was so hard my shoe was more palatable. Last week brought home VERY DRY roast half chicken with burned cheesy potatoes more like mashed potatoes and today usually tasty chicken salad sandwich had no tarragon or cashews!!! What is going wrong? Going out of business? I'm done for now!!! You owe me money and apologies. read more

I'm sad to leave only 3 stars as we have been eating at Keegan's for many years with wonderful meals. We took our son and his fiance for dinner last night (9/2), so excited to have them enjoy the amazing food. App of potato skins, always on point but maybe a little overcooked. They ordered the filet stroganoff and said it was fantastic. Yay! They also ordered the Caesar salad and said it was basically bag salad. Bummer! My husband and I decided on the chicken and ribs special for the day. It came with coleslaw and cheesy potatoes. It came with a tiny brush of BBQ sauce but otherwise dry. The chicken was tender and tasty like they had brined it before cooking. However, the ribs were overcooked, dry, and had no flavor other than the tiny sprinkle of BBQ sauce. I asked for more sauce to dip. The cheesy potatoes were burned like they had been cooked and reheated but the overall flavor was salty and like a dehydrated potato instant package. Neither of us took more than 2 bites. Coleslaw was great and wet. Overall we are not soured on Keegan's but it will be closer to the bottom of our meal choice restaurants when decide where to spend our hard-earned dollars. Worst place I have ever been. The onion soup had no taste at all. The server never came back to ask how it was. The cheese used was Swiss and not the cheese listed in the menu. And there is no Wine in the soup. The cheese was not melted. We had to go and get our own condiments from an another table. We wound up at Keegan's after our first choice for dinner was full and had a waitlist. We snagged a patio table in the shade. They did light a heater as the night wore on, but we were comfortable in shorts as the day's temps had been upper 80's. We had a wonderful server by the name of Andrew. He was attentive and friendly, and took good care of us. Our meals were great. We just ordered off the appetizer menu, but both of our selections were well prepared and tasty. One ordered mussels and one cheeseburger sliders. If you like a margarita and are ok with "sweet" drinks, the Huckleberry margarita is delicious (but sweet.) They did spray tables with a sanitizing cleaner after patrons left. Menus are reused however. I'd prefer a disposable menu at this time. read more

Service was excellent. V was our waitress and had a fantastic presence about her. Food came pretty quick and we had firecracker shrimp as an appetizer. It was hot but missing a bit of heat. I ordered the pork's on Vs endorsement and the flavor was a total hit. Hubby ordered the Stroganoff. He say it was very good. Here's the deal breaker. All seemed to be only warm and not hot. We had desert which was the berry cobbler. This also was not hot enough as the ice cream should be melting and steam should be coming off. I would have liked to know that there were daily specials as there was a NY steak I would have definitely had. I was not at all dissatisfied with the flavors, it just needs to be hot. V was great and has a super engaging- just enough- personality. We will try you again because we did enjoy the flavors and liked the menu. read more

Great burgers and country fried chicken steak sandwich special on Tuesdays. Get there early though before the buses of Canadian Snowbirds converge on the place at 5 pm from Thanksgiving until Easter every year. Summertime is pretty relaxed and much easier to get a table, once the Snowbirds have all run away back to Canada the first day it gets to be 100 degrees outside. read more

I've been coming here since it open. I have worked my way through the menu and I can say without reservation that everything is great. I especially love their soups and salads. They make their soups fresh from scratch every day and the salads are large and full of flavor and look great. Their steaks and burgers are made with skill and their salmon is superb. When I come for lunch they respect that we have an hour and get us served fast and we have time to enjoy and get to work on time. Their happy hour has great specials and fun. I've been going to Keegan's for years, and it varies, sometimes delicious, sometimes meh. Today was very disappointing. I ordered my favorite Taproom Steak Sandwich, and it was grisly and flavorless. Keegan's decision to bring their political ideology into their restaurant is the final straw in my decision to never go there again. The food is bland, the new political themed decor is disgusting and there are too many good restaurants to ever spend another second in there. Haven't been here in a little while. We came for an impromptu Mother's Day dinner. I would say 3.5 stars would be more accurate. My only real complaint was the host/s, they seemed overwhelmed and not really sure of what they were doing. It was two younger gentleman manning the host/hostess station. They didn't greet us properly, and when they finally asked who was next, it was awkward because other parties had gathered, so thankfully I spoke up first. The host said at first we'd have to wait since we didn't have a reservation then the other host came up and asked again how many in our party. I told him and then he proceeded to say, "oh, we have a table up front, but usually people don't want it and go somewhere else." I said "No, we'll take whatever table is available." The table was fine, by the way! I don't know why he said something negative like that to a customer?! Anyway we only waited maybe 10 minutes to be sat, but after we were sat we did wait a bit for drinks. Our server was very nice though! She got our orders correct and came and checked on us several times. Both DH and I had one of their 411 specials. The Loaded Baked potato and the Pasta with PEI mussels. 411 = 4 entrees @ $11. Ok, so definitely get the Loaded potato, it has sliced Filet mignon on it!!! My husband ordered that and it was very good. The pasta was a very light white wine butter sauce with about 8 PEI mussels, so if your saving room for dessert ( eh em... the Mud Pie) I would recommend it because it is lighter fare. Keegan's for lunch today! Been before but today was a more relaxed outing and I didn't realize how hungry I was until we sat down. I ordered the French dip with French fries. The crusty bread that was soft inside and piled high with roast beef. The horseradish went to waste because I could NOT stop dipping in that delish au jus. It was a little salty and amazing. The French fries were freshly and uniformly cut and fried to a light crisp perfection. I don't usually eat many fries but they were like hot crunchy crack LOL Mom had fish and chips and looked terrific. Service was excellent and everyone was observing the mask ordinance and spacial awareness. Highly recommend this location. read more

We've dined at Keegan's at least eight times in the past two years. We almost always get the the Turkey Cranberry Sandwich and the Taproom Steak Sandwich. Both are consistently delicious and the steak is always cooked to perfection (I prefer mid-rare). Service is always prompt and friendly. Jaeden has usually been our server and although she remembers us, we can see she treats all other customers with friendly attention. Looking forward to our next visit! read more
