Keith is our go-to person to work on our HVAC system. The first time was when our 15 year old AC went out (bad compressor) in the middle of a 100F streak a couple years ago. Keith came out on a Saturday to do asses the damage and do a quick interim fix to keep it working until the right compressor arrived. He did not charge for that visit or the parts used! He then returned the next week with the proper replacement compressor and our AC has been working every since. When the heating part of our HVAC died (ignitor broke), we called Keith and he showed up on the same day. Unfortunately, there was no fixing it and thus he had to come back first thing in the morning with the replacement part. Again, he only charged us for the second visit when he had the proper part to fix the system. As many others have stated, Keith always took the time to explain exactly what he was going. I am an engineer and appreciate someone explaining to me not only what they are doing, but also why. Gives me a lot more confidence that they are not just checking off boxes, but actually understand what it is they are doing. His prices are very reasonable and he shows up when he says he will. When the air was not blowing cold, I knew I had to call service. After finding a local business, I called. A very professional operator asked me what I needed and quickly transferred me to Keith. Due to my work schedule I made an appointment and Keith was on time. He diagnosed the problem and showed me what was wrong. The A/C went out at the house on a hot day, my neighbor told me to call Keiths. I called him at 6:30 pm, left my info with his answering service (a real human) and she connected me to him. He told me on the phone he could make it after finishing a job or in the morning, I selected same night. Keith called me and told me he was leaving last job and coming over. Keith was working some serious overtime, I put out some lighting for him because it was dark. Once here, he quickly diagnosed the issue outside, went to his truck with the replacement part and had the A/C back and running in about 10-15 minutes. I like to watch when people do repairs so I can learn new things. Keith told me what he was doing, explained things and really knows the A/C business. These guys are great! It was a last Friday night when I noticed it was getting warm in the house. I checked my AC and found it was not turning on like it should. The compressor would only stay on for a few minutes and turn off. It would repeat this over and over and not really cool the house. I checked on Google and found Keith Heating and Air Conditioning. Saturday I called and they said they would have somebody out within an hour. The tech, Dave, showed up at my door and quickly got to work. He determined I was low on coolant and possibly had a leak. He recharged my system and put a leak sealer in at the same time. The whole process took maybe a half hour and my system was back to cooling as expected. The cost of the coolant and sealant was reasonable to me. These guys are who you need to call if you need a repair for your system. read more

Keith is a true professional. He came himself to give us an estimate on a new heating and air conditioning system within one day of our conversation. Really nice guy and honest. His estimate was a good $3,000.00 less than others we had received. The very next day, his team arrived exactly on time (unbelievable in California as that seems) and were friendly, professional, non-invasive (I work from home) and got the job done in record time. We have a small but densely and intricately planted area where the outside condenser for the A/C had to go. The new unit was larger than the old one, so installing it without disturbing the landscaping was a very tough enterprise but Keith's team did an awesome job without hurting the plants. It was a hot, muggy day...our dog was not happy and our air conditioner started leaking. Turning it off was scary but it was leaking into the house. I went on YELP and found Keith Heating & Air and called, left a message that it was sort of an emergency because my husband had to leave for a doctor's appointment. They promised he would call back within half an hour. He called back within 5 minutes! Keith came out to our home an hour after we called and we were new clients. We have had our air conditioning system for 43 years so we were fully prepared to suffer the horror of an expensive replacement. My husband tried everything he knew to clean out the pipe that appeared to leak but it just would not stop leaking. This cheerful, funny man checked everything and solved our problem by unclogging the pipe and assuring me we did not need to spend thousands to replace the air conditioner. There may be other honest air conditioner people out there, but I am so happy I read the YELP reviews and selected Keith. He gave me some general advice on filter changing and overall care, checked refrigerant levels and even loved our big dog! The man is a gem. I will invite him and his family for Thanksgiving to make sure he knows how valuable he is! When the time comes, and it probably will eventually, there is no one but Keith that I would trust to replace all or parts of this air conditioner and I know his honesty would never allow him to overcharge. Damn AC went out and it was hot!, Called Keith, he came over that afternoon, and fixed it right up. He new exactly what he was doing, he tested a few things and knew how to fix it. Excellent customer service! My A/C went down in the recent stifling heat wave. I called around to several local companies and the earliest anyone could schedule me in was in three days. I called Keith, based on the Yelp reviews, at 9am. They were also slammed with tons of work, but by 10:30am, I received a call that the tech could be at my house at 11:30. Jarrett, the tech, arrived right on time. He was meticulous and friendly. Within an hour, he had troubleshot, diagnosed and resolved my A/C issue. Turns out the safety switch had fried which prevented my furnace (which the A/C runs through) from turning on. We've been having issues with our A/C and called our home warranty company American Home Shield. Every A/C person that came out was Russian and told us something totally different as far as what had to be done to fix the A/C. The one thing they all did do, was to tell us that our problem wouldn't be covered by warranty and we'd have to pay 3000-5000 to fix the problems. We realized that we weren't going to get anywhere with the home warranty company or the repair people. They were all trying to up-sell us on more expensive repairs. I just wanted to try and find someone local that could come look at our A/C system and tell us the truth, be honest & real. I called several local companies, but Keith Heating and Air Conditioning was the first to respond back. Jared came to our house and checked everything out. He did exactly what we had hoped for... He told us the deal with our A/C situation and was extremely informative and honest. Instead of wasting money on all these fixes, we know exactly what we need to do and can plan it out now. Great experience! I called Saturday morning and spoke to dispatch and within a minute Keith called me back and within 30 minutes Keith was at my house. I told him what the issue was and he went to work. He identified the problem and had to grab a part. Unfortunately I had to leave and would be gone the rest of the day so Keith told me he'd grab the part and come back Sunday morning. Came back Sunday, fixed the unit and all is good. He was extremely friendly, didn't try to bs me and upsell the repair. Was very straight forward and as he went through the repair he told me what the total cost would be so there were no surprises in the end. What I find really weird is that this company has 209 reviews and all are 5 stars. I called Keith, left a message requesting for a quote for maintenance and then made an appointment for him to come down and check out my HVAC system. I did not ask for an emergency appointment and made sure that this was a time convenient for Keith. He further asked me to text him my address so that he'd have it stored on his phone. Thursday between 230 and 430 pm was my appointment time. My husband and I both took time off work to be here. At 3pm on Thursday Keith calls me and asks what my day looks like on Friday because he's not wanting to come to my house. I told him that I took time off work to meet him. He then stated "Well then I guess I will come out, what is your address?" Where is the 5 star service? I made an appointment and provided my address and was treated like I don't matter. So if you are going to take time off work and make an appointment, please don't use this company. read more

Keith arrived same evening on a late call. Let me say he is a pro and knows what he is talking about. Kindly introduced himself, asked where the unit was, opened it up and tested the unit. Stated it was a good fix and only the coils needed to be replaced. Came the next day with the part and got it up and running. He is an honest and reliable guy who everyone should call first. Our heater stopped working 2 days ago and we attempted to call another company who installed the unit and that guy never returned our calls! After sleeping 1 really cold night without heat and also having a toddler, we were desperate to have someone come out and look at the furnace. Contacted Keith as our HVAC was not doing its job i.e. no hot nor cold air, so the next day we had Dave visit us (prompt service), he looked at the unit and let us know how much it would cost to repair and also an estimate for a new unit. Also he explained us the benefits of a new unit and there was no pressure sales tactics, we did our analysis and agreed to go for a new unit (can't compromise with Simi Valley heat). We spoke with Dave he gave us all details and the next week we had the crew set up our new system, they were on time, truly professionals made sure that our carpet and floor was clean and did their work and did not make any after work (cleaning) for us. Dan and his coworker were great and Dan made sure that the installtion was done on time and new system was working as intended i.e. properly cooling and heating. Next day we had Dave visit us and explain how to use the new HVAC and to inspect the installation. I was very impressed with this company. They were super professional at the same time very friendly and knowledgeable. I was extremely pleased with the service I received from Keith the owner to Chris and Christian the technicians. I was having humidity and mildew problems that were going on for years that no one could figure out. Keith informed me that my unit was the wrong size for my house. Once they installed the new unit, I immediately noticed the air quality was different and the humidity levels registered within a normal range. Their work is not bad. My issue comes from Kieth giving me a price to install a new AC that seemed kinda high but I was in a pinch. I wanted to know the price I was paying for the material versus labor so I asked him how much the unit was going to cost. He laughed and said "well if I told you that you would know how much labor is." I pressed him to tell me anyway. He gave me a ballpark figure. I used him against my better judgement because we needed it fixed in a hurry. I'm pretty sure we were well overcharged for the 2 hours of labor. read more

Keith was wonderful to work with! He was very informative on the phone even when just getting a quote. He knew it was possible that we wouldn't end up work with him because we were going to try to use our insurance. And he still helped explain possible problems with the AC and what to look out for in pricing and what other contractors might try to tell us needs to be fixed or not fixed. When it didn't work out with the insurance recommended contractor (who incorrectly diagnosed the problem), Keith was quick to come out for a visual quote and to get someone from his team out to do the work the next day. We were nervous because we have small kids and the weather was in the 90s, but he had us up and running in no time! When we had another issue with the AC the next week that turned out to be related, he came back out again as soon as we called and had his team fix it immediately. His quote was fair and he even tried to help us save money with giving us different tiered options for the fix. The only reason for removing one star is that the first guy he sent out was not very thorough and didn't want to do everything that Keith and I had originally discussed. But a call with Keith had quickly cleared it up and we got everything straightened out at needed, which could have just been a misunderstanding from his guy. This is the 2nd time I have used Keith Heating and Air Cond...the first was for my neighbors house that we were baby sitting their dogs when their A/C quit. Had Keith himself come out within 2 hrs and less than $300 he replaced an electrical component that took 45 min to do and it was fixed. This time it was my house and of course the A/C quit in the middle of the heat spell. Called their answering service in the early morning hours and left a message. Keith sent out Jared by 12:00 that day (Saturday) who diagnoised the problem to be a fuse and $98 later we were up and running.
