Sausage Omelet Bagel with Fruit Bowl...
    Armando D.

Our breakfast meals were excellent! I truly enjoyed the fruit bowl and noticed how fresh, clean and abundant the portions given. The service from Maria was great she captured my request precisely and relayed it to the kitchen staff. The kitchen staff were all new employees and made our food extremely tasty. Thank you Keke's! We will be back!

The service was quick. We were seated within the 15 min time frame. While we waited we sat at the tables outside in the shade next to the waterfall. The food was hot. The pancakes were HUGE. I couldn't finish them. They were delicious. The hamburger was double meat. It was delicious and juicy. The only complaint was the table wasn't cleaned. It had hair on it.

We came around 2PM and they close at 2:30PM. Our server Harrison was super friendly, apologetic and kept us updated on the food. Everything was good. The fries were crunchy on the outside, soft and hot on the inside. I enjoyed my fluffy french toast. Basic but so good when you have that craving. There are booths and comfy, private.

    Pancakes

I ordered pancakes and this is what I got. Bricks. They take like baking soda. Cutting through them were everything but fluffy just thick and rough. I'll never order from Keke's again. A true waste of ingredients.

I am a big enjoyer of breakfast food, so when I saw there was a Keke's in the area I got very excited. I came in with a nice book and sat for a good while, enjoying the morning. I was greeted with a smile and sat promptly, my server was very nice and attentive, no ticks at all against the service. The ambiance had some good elements like the welcoming comfortable feeling of the restaurant with its wall art and pleasing colors, but other things like the overhead table light being way too bright and exposed made it to where I couldn't look up without being blinded. The food was alright but left more to be desired. the best part of the meal was the chicken, it was crispy, well seasoned, and juicy; however the waffle it came with was bordering on uncooked for some bites. I did have to season the grits but I do that everywhere, and the sausage was typical restaurant sausage, a little thin if anything. All around my experience was alright but I feel there's room for improvement in the food.

Good service and the food was "Good" no real WOW factor, with the average price points. The Eggs Benedict needed a touch more Hollandaise sauce and bland. Fried scallop potatoes were well prepared. Coffee was a bit weak. The overall ambience was a bit cold almost like being in a waiting room at your doctor's office. I would try again.

Okay, this is one of those random times I am leaving a low star rating, after placing our order it seemed like an unusually long time went by before we received our food, our server passed our table at least 6 times during that time frame and not once offered refills, once our food finally arrived he had taken it up to order 2 Kira meal for our table instead of 1 like we had ordered for our son. My husbands omelet was no longer hot and my French toast were not even warm, when the food came out he noticed our empty glasses and asked if we wanted refills, when the refills arrived it was in foam cups not he glass cups we had, we then noticed it seemed all the other tables were also receiving the same slow service and it seemed they had some sort of trouble in the kitchen, lots of Servers and 3 hostess but terribly slow service. Usually I see servers pick up empty plates from any table to help each other as they are heading back to the kitchen, not the case here, we still had to pay for the extra kids meal as the serve didn't take it off even though it was his mistake and we didn't want to ask. We just left after eating and decided never to go back.

Keke's special with grits and home fries

My wife and I went to Keke's at 450 Durbin Pavilion in St Johns for the first time on Sunday May 5th, 2025. Got there shortly after noon. The store was clean and bright. We were greeted immediately. Our waiter, Porter, was friendly and efficient. On the plus side, the pancakes were pretty good. Slightly dense but I'd order them again. Ham slice was good and plentiful. Coffee was good. The cups were made with very thick walls so there wasn't much in the cups. They would have been fine if there was a pot of coffee on the table. Unfortunately... The scrambled eggs were just slightly beaten. Streaks of white in the yellow. It looks like they were poured on a grill until they were cooked, folded and plated. Just flat and dense. I'd say they were mischaracterized both as scrambled and fluffy. Flat, dry and overcooked. The pile of lumps on the potato plate were supposed to be cheese grits. Lumpy and dry. More like yesterday's mashed potatoes. Worst I've Ever had. Not cheesy nor creamy. The home fries were made of skin-on red potatoes. They probably would have been good if the potatoes had been fully cooked. They broke when you stabbed the slices. OJ was surprisingly watery.

We have been trying to get into the Keke vibe. However, everytime we go to the Town center location, there is always a long wait. Thankfully, there is a KeKe restaurant in St Johns County. The host was pleasant but called me Bob when she just took my reservation for a table. Unfortunately, you can not make reservations on line. We received our drinks iceless. Normally when do not want ice in a drink, you ask for no ice. There was no ice to be had at Keke according to our server. Now for the entrees. The server exclaimed the plates were hot but he silver dollar pancakes were not. All in all this is an experience we want to forget. It is hard to make a mockery out of breakfast/lunch but Keke has. This is a one and done type review.

This location has the Grumpy's name but does not have the Grumpy's taste and it RUINED my mother-daughter outing. Walking into the restaurant it has that welcome back feeling of being inside in a Grumpy's spot. The decor is modern farmhouse. The lollipop bouquet is the cutest and WARMEST invite into this spot. As all Grumpy's, the menu is full of American classics. My daughter and I had a short-stack. I couldn't resist adding the Roasted Turkey plate. My drink choice was hot chocolate. I knew something was OFF when I received the hot chocolate..."where's the chocolate drizzle? why does it taste like it's water based?" The waiter let me know it's the waiters choice on how it is served. *INSERT EYE ROLL* When the meal came it was easy to see the Turkey plate was MISSING items and looked like it had been sitting (I mean sitting gravy has look of non-movement). The waiter tried to COMFORT me by saying it was under a warm plate but after I questioned where were the cranberries and stuffing...she then responded with an OH! The other part of the group also drank their life away, and because of this you always need to go to a diner the next day. It was a pleasant afternoon.. the birds were chirping, the sky was partly cloudy, and the wind felt cool. The group stumbled on Metro Diner which looked very appealing! We were told by a couple nice people that it was only a 15 minute wait which was perfectly fine so we went to Publix and bought a couple things. When we came back we were seated outside with a friendly waiter who got us going right away. The ogre kept saying how she wanted fried chicken and waffles, but then got nervous because it was 2000 calories.. like what? "You're on vacation just get the chicken and waffles." She was already overweight anyways so why not add more fuel to the fire. Anyways onto what we got! Me: egg scramble bowl with avocado and bacon. And oatmeal with fruit My good Buddy Bezos: burger bowl Doctor Bs wife: avocado egg sandwich thing Tragic: your classic eggs, toast, sausage, homefried The heaviest girl ever: Belgian waffle and some fruit? I tried to be polite and wait, but after 5 minutes without their food showing up I had to eat I was starving. It's kind of crazy to me that me ogre and my good buddy bezos were first. I would think that the classic plate of tragics would be easy, as well as the sandwich because it's just the same stuff in my bowl just between bread somewhat. I enjoyed the ambiance and the feel of the place for sure. The music that was playing was also enjoyable, so initially I was at a three but because of those factors along with the fact that I did somewhat like my food more than the others (which is rare) and don't feel terrible after that's why we stand at a four. I would like to clarify every place has its own rating system. Like you cannot compare a fancy restaurant to a diner although they are still deemed a 4 on my page. Sorry anyways, the prices were also really reasonable and we had a good time. Maybe next year when we are back around here we will come back! It was good!

Thinking it was a hidden gem because we had never heard of it, we gave it a try. Sadly, it wasn't all we expected it to be. Once we found it hidden in the back of a small shopping center in World Golf Village, we went inside to an empty restaurant at what should've been a bustling lunchtime crowd. The restaurant had all of two employees working. The cashier/waitress asked us to seat ourselves and she brought us the menus. 5, yes FIVE, different things that we attempted to order were out of stock! How do you run a restaurant when 5 staple items are out of stock.... Hamburger patties, bacon, onion rings, and all fountain drinks including coke & dr. Pepper???? It quickly became obvious why the entire restaurant was empty! After we made alternative choices from the menu and received our meals, the waitress spent the entire time we were in her presence talking in the phone and to someone who seemed to be a regular patron that had come in after us to pick up a to-go order. I heard her say that 'today is my last day because I'm moving.' After hearing that, it made sense as to why she never came back to our table to see if we needed anything. We even had to request she bring our check so that we could pay the bill and leave. She was 'too busy' to notice we were finished & waiting.... The food that we got wasn't horrible.... Too bad the service wasn't that great. We most certainly did NOT receive a good first impression and likely won't give it a second try!

They use Kookaburra Coffee (which I have had plenty of times) out of St. Augustine and I love it. The barista made my usual breve with heavy cream perfectly and it was definitely delicious and rich. My BIL got his usual brewed cup of Joe black and said it was great. The service is fast and friendly. And the place is immaculate. It's got a very chill atmosphere with a comfy couch and chairs where you can sit and enjoy your coffee and scroll on your phone to research the origins of the business. At least that's what I usually do...I'm endlessly curious and interested. I thought PMCH might have been a franchise like so many other businesses popping up in the area. I was wrong. To my surprise and pleasure, Pour Mike's Coffee House is locally owned (St. Augustine residents) and that particular day, Mike and his wife (the owners) were actually there amongst their customers. Mike asked us how we liked the coffee. And we let him know we definitely enjoyed it. It's nice to see business owners interacting with their customers. I love seeing that and really appreciate it. They have plenty of Pour Mike's Coffee House merchandise for sale, Mayday Icecream available for purchase and they seem to offer a mix of local goodies to help and support other area businesses. Rare and awesome. Now that I know, I will definitely be back!

The coffee was really good too, and I loved how creative the menu was. They definitely have some fun drinks you don't see everywhere. The food, though... it was just okay. Not bad by any means, but it didn't really match how much I enjoyed everything else. I had a muffin that looked amazing but tasted a little underwhelming. The inside is a vibe. Plenty of seating whether you're meeting up with friends, knocking out some work, or just enjoying a coffee by yourself. I'd absolutely come back for the coffee and the atmosphere. If the food stepped up a notch, this would easily be a 5-star.

The server Daniel that we had was over the top, checking on us very frequently, super friendly and was very knowledgeable on the menu. The hostess was also very friendly and welcoming. As well as the manager who came to our table to ask how everything was. The food left us speechless. The ribeye was by far the best I have ever had. The shrimp and grits had such an amazing flavor. Portions were well worth the money. The setting inside was perfect. I would recommend this place 100X over again. Very reasonably priced for the quality.

My boyfriend had a custom make your own old fashioned, which is always fun. You choose what type of liquor, bitters, and smoke you would like so you can tailor your drink to your liking. For appetizers, we had to get the roasted oysters, everything here has the essence of that fire grilled taste which I particularly love on oysters. After we knocked back a dozen of those, we tried the fries with the tender beef, cheese, and pickled jalapeños. They fry them in tallow, which gives the fries a really nice rich flavor! Then my boyfriend has some cornbread, which had a fruit jam and whipped butter, which he enjoyed. I typically get the chimichurri steak which again has that nice fire grilled element and is paired with some delicious vegetables like carrots, green beans, and potatoes. My boyfriend had the red fish over the andouille dirty rice, which was phenomenal! If I didn't get my seafood craving from the oysters, I definitely would've ordered that. Everything was fantastic as always!
