I had bought a used F150 from a dealer about 18 months ago. Never really had the brakes inspected, and I thought I felt and heard something recently. Since it had 90+k miles on it, I figured it needed a front brake job. I am pretty familiar with cars, change my own oil and other minor things, but have never done brakes. After reading reviews on Yelp, decided to try Kelley's Automotive, based on the reviews and the proximity to my work. He ended up checking the brakes and took it for a test drive, and found that I did not need anything. Brake pads were in great shape. No charge for the inspection. Recently, I had a terrible, dishonest experience with a tire shop. Coincidentally, I needed Jason to work on my car and took it to him after this experience. He listened carefully and explained the best and least expensive manner to fix my car. He also told me how some businesses are dishonest and explained how I could get an honest response from such a business in a professional manner. His knowledge and care extends beyond just being a mechanic. When I arrived to have my car repaired, he quickly discovered that the warehouse had sent the wrong model of part for my car. Not to be defeated, Jason found another way to fix my car properly and get it on the road again. When I was presented with the invoice, it was about $400.00 less then I expected. I have known Jason and family for close to 30 years and he is exactly as the previous reviews say: completely honest and trustworthy. We usually have brakes and other basic maintenance done here but I would not hesitate to have major service done, just wish he were closer to Roseville. Love the fact that I know someone who shoots straight since car mechanics can be hit or miss. He's also honest and will say "yeah, you could have that done, but you don't need it right away" and that is always good to know especially if you are not knowledgeable in mechanics. I had my Ford truck diesel in Kelly's shop around Jan of this year to replace a fuel pump and I left a review of what took place! Read review I put in Jan! Now they replaced the fuel pump and guess what my fuel pump has failed already! Now you would think for me to take it back but in my Jan review you know why I don't! So I will have my previous shop replace at my cost! I don't recommend his shop period for an owner to admit his mechanic caused the many issues and not pay for all the damages tells me not to do business at that shop! read more

I was referred here after Elk Grove Ford stated they did not work on cars older than 10 years. I had an electrical problem relating to the air conditioning compressor during the HOTTEST week of the year! Jason Kelley, owner /operator/family man, took the time to explain to me what the situation was, in laymens terms, and got to work. Unfortunately I did not have a good experience and will no longer refer or do business with them. They had a simple task to do which was flush transmission fluid and change a few parts with my water pump and hose. After getting my truck back the truck did not start. For some reason the battery was loose, but after getting that all connected the trucks rpm was jumping. I wasn't concerned because it is a work truck and I assumed that's how it drove before. Once the worker got the truck back it stalled twice on the way to his home. We then towed it back to him to look at which he couldn't figure out after two and a half days of work. I then decided to bring it to the dealership because, well they make the vehicle they will know how to fix it. I forgot to mention we dropped the truck off in running condition terrible running condition but it could still start. I personally went to get it and they let me know I couldn't take it because it no longer could even start. After $2,500 in repairs the mechanics at this new shop found silicone in the transmission pan in replace of a bolt. Leaking water hose and a crank shaft sensor broken. Also a few other items that I won't get into in this review. After all his original work that wasn't completed properly the first time and breaking a sensor he offered to pay the labor he charged me. He refused to pay me for the sensor he broke that the dealership had to fix. Unfortunately I can't say it was one hundred percent his fault for everything that happened but the spotty work that was done had to get fixed by someone else and they charged us to fix his work! He didn't even pay us back for the sensor he broke. Sad to leave such a bad review but right when I thought I found a perfect mechanic it all fell apart. I will be using Ford Folsom fleet. They took all responsibility on fixing and spent many hour FOR FREE! To get this resolved. read more

Do not buy a car from these guys. Priced right, however alot of red flags when it comes to mechanical issues. Example: belts broken, tranny with not oil in it, broken handles, oil leaks etc.. all salvage titles as well which it does not mention anywhere on Thier sites they tell you when you get there. I thought I needed new rear brakes, and he said it wasn't needed at this time, and that he'd keep an eye on it. I appreciated that very much. He completed the oil change and fixed another issue we were having with the battery. He also works on the vehicles himself, which is really nice.
