Kelley's is a pub in Waikiki that melds locals, military, and tourist wanderers alike. It draws you in with their massive crowds and often live music, creating an infectious party atmosphere even on a weekday. I've stumbled into Kelley's tons of times and although it's not everyone's cup of tea (hard to get a drink when busy, sweaty, sketchy location on lewers), it's always consistent and always an adventure in my opinion. My most recent venture here was as stop number 3 on a bar crawl during my bachelorette party, and as you can see from the bathroom selfie, the vibes were high despite being a Wednesday night!!

We found this gem while out and about shopping. Ice cold beer and air conditioning was perfect! They are open until 3 am or maybe it's 4 am?? Fully stocked bar with lots of options of cold beer. Service was quick and friendly. Stop in and have a drink in this fully Irish decorated bar!

I ate an Irish stew. It was very hearty & definitely delicious! The live band that was playing PWR was great. Playing good oldies from the 90s. Vibe is nice, food server was prompt & always smiling. Will definitely come again.

Rating is low, mostly for the poor service. We did have someone come and ask if we were ready to order almost as soon as we arrived. It was our first time here, so we did not know there was a QR code for the menu. When we said we needed time, the person seemed to be annoyed with us. After 20 min the same person came by to ask if we were ready with our drink order. When we informed him that we were ready to place our drink order and food order. Again, he seemed annoyed. Just walked away and came back with a note pad. We wanted to place the order for both since we didn't want to wait for another 20 min for someone to come and ask for our food order. We had just arrived 14hrs of traveling and we were so hungry! We ordered: The Kelly O (pizza), it was delicious. Not too thick nor thin. Fish and chips- nothing special Garlic fries- missing garlic. It was basically fries, they did not taste bad, but no garlic. Drinks were very good. Bahama Mama was our favorite.

I like this bar. It's never been crowded when I've visited, and it's the only place I've found in Waikiki with $3 well dri KS for happy hour (11-8). It's generally quiet, an older clientele, nice bartenders and live music. I haven't tried the food, but the fish n chips and chicken pot pie look pretty good. If you're looking for a chill bar in Waikiki, give it a try.

And the bartenders are pretty cool.

We stopped in for drinks and ended up having a pizza. The service was good and the pizza better than average.

JJ was also the mastermind behind Dolan's famous pizza...the hook they devised to distinguish their Irish pub from that of their former boss and fellow Irishman, Don Murphy, owner of Murphy's across the street from Black Shamrock. When an opportunity to take over the former O'Toole's location opened up, JJ jumped at the chance, and split from Dolan's to hang his own shingle, now known as Black Shamrock. JJ bought his pizza expertise with him, and in my opinion, is now the best pie in town...plus his Duck drumsticks can't be missed, which aren't available at Dolan's. JJ, Danny Dolan, and Don Murphy are all still friends, so have no worries, Chinatown is still the place to go for St. Patrick's day because they're still joining together to sponsor the annual festivities...and of course Murphy's is still the place to go if you're looking for Corned Beef or Shepherd's Pie downed with Guinness...but if it's a New York slice you're looking for, there's no need to go up to Bethel anymore, just stumble across the street to Black Shamrock.

The turkey was exceptionally tender, flavorful, and covered in a rich, savory gravy that soaked into the soft bread and paired perfectly with the creamy mashed potatoes. The sides were excellent too. The cranberry sauce was the perfect sweet-tart contrast and helped balance the richness of the gravy. It was a satisfying, well-rounded plate from start to finish.

We had a friend visiting from Scotland and wanted to give him an authentic pub experience, and Murphy's delivered in every way. Fridays after work are especially great here, the place fills up with energy, and for some reason the Guinness just tastes better. We grabbed seats at the bar, always the right move, and were taken care of by bartenders who were friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. My buddy and I stuck with pints of Guinness while my wife enjoyed a dirty martini. The food did not disappoint. Corned beef and cabbage, a breaded pork chop with mashed potatoes, and a salmon Caesar salad all hit the spot. The back bar is packed with memorabilia and old photos, so much history that you could grab a pint and wander for an hour just taking it all in. The shuffleboard was another highlight and quickly turned into a few competitive games. What really stood out was the crowd, so many regulars stopping in, greeting each other, and chatting with the staff, it truly felt like a Cheers-style place where everybody knows your name. Murphy's works just as well for lunch or dinner, and it is perfect for both locals and visitors. Thanks, Murphy's, for making it such a great night for our Scottish buddy.

Last…read moretime I could remember eating around there was at Murphy's...man does time fly quickly than usual. So my expectations were a bit curious with a place like J Dolan's. I've seen people say that they serve one of the best New York-style pizzas in Oahu. After today, they certainly delivered on that promise. So...as far as what I ordered there, with a friend, this was a good place to share a pizza and salad today. I got their mixed green salad alongside the Boardwalk pie. Wow...was it so good. Salad - Loved it...felt very fresh and unique, especially with the snow peas and broccoli, two ingredients I wouldn't have expected to be on a salad, but it works. Pizza - Dynamite. The crust was so crispy and definitely was beautiful to look at. Flavor was excellent...as it made me feel like I was experiencing a taste of New York right there. I can't say much more about this place, but man...they really brought the 'wow' factor for a pizza pub. Would I recommend this place? Totally. If you want to experience a good slice of NY style pizza, this is a good place to look at. Maybe sometime if I do come back, I would love to try their Giacomo pie. Thanks J Dolan, you really brightened up my day. 10/10

I made reservations for 5:45 PM however when I checked in at Pint and Jigger, I was notified that the reservations were for P&J and not the speakeasy which opens at 6 PM. Therefore I believe that there are still kinks to be made with their reservation system. We waited at the bar until it was sorted out. You walk through a whiskey wall and walk upstairs to the speakeasy. They used a lot of the decor from the former location known as Harry's Emporium. We were the only ones for about an hour so we were able to maximize the bartender's time. Max is an excellent bartender and informed us that they are only open on the weekends for now. He's the only bartender and they are still working out staffing issues. No food at the moment. The theme is New Orleans/French. The drinks and music all have that vibe.
