Security didn't help out with a situation where two people where trying to fight me. Issue was another customer was starting a problem with me ordering drinks at the same place I was ordering drinks all night to do it ans told me to do it at the a certain area. I told him I can order drinks anywhere I want. This same customer tells the bartender to let me order drinks and she listened and ignored me and even served a couple next to me that came after me. Mind you I have been nice and been tipping this same waitress for hours. I told the security lead about it and they said I was in the right but nothing was done. Had another issue outside with the same person and I complained about it to security. They still didn't do anything about it so I just left because I really wanted to fight them and could have easily taken them both out I've done enforcement all my life but didn't because I was on vacation and not going to afford to risk my flight back being delayed. 27/28 June 2024 .. sort of a blog. I arrived in Honolulu/Waikiki. It was late, but I but I decided to go for a walk and look see if anything was still open. I visit Waikiki once a year, and I have walked past Kelly O'Neil's many times during the day. It looks nice -- but not special. I suppose the place really comes alive at night--maybe because last call is 3:30am. Rating is low, mostly for the poor service. We did have someone come and ask if we were ready to order almost as soon as we arrived. It was our first time here, so we did not know there was a QR code for the menu. When we said we needed time, the person seemed to be annoyed with us. After 20 min the same person came by to ask if we were ready with our drink order. When we informed him that we were ready to place our drink order and food order. Again, he seemed annoyed. Just walked away and came back with a note pad. We wanted to place the order for both since we didn't want to wait for another 20 min for someone to come and ask for our food order. We had just arrived 14hrs of traveling and we were so hungry! We ordered: The Kelly O (pizza), it was delicious. Not too thick nor thin. Fish and chips- nothing special Garlic fries- missing garlic. I like this bar. It's never been crowded when I've visited, and it's the only place I've found in Waikiki with $3 well dri KS for happy hour (11-8). It's generally quiet, an older clientele, nice bartenders and live music. I haven't tried the food, but the fish n chips and chicken pot pie look pretty good. First instance is where we tipped the couple performing on stage a hefty amount of cash to perform our birthday girls favorite song party in the USA. This dude denied my service animal. Lol, like you can't do that dude. Not worth making a ADA fuss but worth a review. Originally he denied us because it's not a "good environment for a dog". I came in early on a Monday around 5pm. HH is 11am-8pm. There were only about 5 other people inside. The bartender said it's pretty quiet early. Had a couple tasty local IPA's for $7 each at happy hour and the chicken and tots for $10. Not much of a happy hour deal for the "good, local beer". But you pay more for beer that's not the usual light piss water. Whatever. They have a few TVs. I like the layout. Bartender was a local legend. This is a great hang in Waikiki. However the last couple of times I have gone there my credit card has been lifted and fraud detected with the typical "build up" charges from 3rd party vendors. The card had never been out of my possession and the only charges were from Kellie's....until about a week later and a progression of charges started to happen. I usually go early in the day, it's a pretty mellow place to have a drink or three. They also do a sandwich of the day which is superb. John frequently bartends days and he's a nice guy. The bathroom attendant Linda Moore proceeded to chase me out, spit in my face, and say " Fuck you, you fucking cunt, don't come back here". I'm from Philly so I'm a snob. I would not call it a Philly, however it was a really good sandwich. Guinness was pouring pretty well. Head was a little soft but it was hanging on the glass pretty well. I've had better pints but I'd give this average to maybe slightly above. It's far from a bad pint. This has to have been the worst bar I've ever been to after visiting this place, the security was walking around telling everyone to leave very aggressively because you can tell he is just a miserable unhappy person who hates his job & lonley life at home, he comes to my table pulls out my chair so I can fall off I get up & ask him why did he do that & he automatically just pushed me on the floor no words, no response nothing. Just pushes me this man was huge & overweight while I'm a 95lb 5'0 year old female. Nobody there did anything to prevent this or even stopped the man not even customers which was really unfortunate.
