What I do expect is a heads up from the restaurant when a menu item isn't available and then I can make an informed decision on what to order. My fiancé and I have been regulars here since our recent trip to Ireland, we discovered that Kelley's has the same breakfast sausages served all over Ireland and no other breakfast out is as satisfying! Kelley's Deli is a good little lunch spot. Growing up, I used to go to their old downtown location next to Rossi's with my dad, and now every time I'm back in town, I have to stop by for a sandwich, or at least to pick up some of their macaroni salad. (If anyone from Kelley's reads this and wants to give me the recipe, I will be forever grateful.) My favorites on the menu are their buffalo chicken wrap or a traditional turkey sandwich. Happened upon this place accidentally on the way home from a trip a few years ago. So happy to have found it! I live about forty minutes away, but it's worth the drive if I'm awake early enough to have breakfast. I have only ever tried the Irish Breakfast because it's so freaking good that I can't bring myself to stray. I'm a huge fan of their potato cakes. They are perfectly seasoned mashed potato patties with a light, slightly crispy outer crust. I would pay someone lots of money to deliver them to me at my whim if it were possible. Yum. I don't know how I lived in the area almost a decade and didn't know about this place. Breakfast is phenomenal and there is something for everyone. I generally don't love breakfast food, so I have been getting the bacon, avocado, tomato, and over hard egg on ciabatta. My husband gets something different every time and has always been happy. I may be a bit biased because my mon worked there for quite a few years but... I love this place!!! The owners Shannon and Kevin Kelley are some of the nicest people I've ever met and love their business/food and take Irish culture to heart. Even after my mom left Kelley's I continued to visit with friends and family for lunch or breakfast. The prices are very good, and the service is always friendly and everyone is willing to help you and give you refills! It's a clean and friendly environment that you'll never forget. When i go for breakfast i usually get the cheese omelet (with provolone), which comes with home fries and Italian bread (they have many different kinds). Sometimes I even get their breakfast sandwich to take home because it's soo good. Usually I go to breakfast with 3 people and the bill is always around $30. $10 for a great breakfast is great, and most of their food is under $10 anyway. Other than that for lunch try the potato chowder and the Swiss mushroom burger! Yum!! I recently moved to New Jersey and this is definitely one I the places I miss the most, haven't found a place nearly as good here. It is a forty five minute drive for us to get breakfast, but we cannot wait to go back! We checked out the menu before we went and knew we had to visit. "banger and whiskey onions" is an omelet to die for. This place conducts egg science I swear to god. Like how do you cook so perfectly every single time? I always find the service to be excellent and consistent even when they are stuffed like a turducken with a half hour wait and the staff has that look like they've had it. They maintain composure very well lol. The food is ridiculous. Again, always consistent and extremely high quality. Lots of passion in the food here. The interior is beautiful and inviting. I checked out Kelley's on a busy Sunday morning. They were packed and it took some time for someone to acknowledge me (the same was true of the guy in front of me). While that's not OK, it is understandable. Once I did get service, the lady that helped me was courteous. She was clearly overwhelmed by the rush, but she remain composed and cracked a joke or two. The cash register window provides a clear view into the kitchen. I liked what I saw: People were busy but working together, focused on what they were doing, each had an assignment, the work area was pretty tidy (considering). Everyone was on their feet; no counter-sitters like at The Pizza Lady. My breakfast was good; not remarkable, just good, and that's OK. The Manhattan Reuben was fine. The "Manhattan" means it's bigger; otherwise, it was a pretty standard Reuben. The issue with the Meat Lovers omelet was the lack of cheese; there wasn't enough. The potatoes it was served with (deep-fried home fry things) were nothing special. The highlight was the cinnamon and vanilla French toast. This was downright good. It's standard, thin bread (ie not thick French toast), but the flavor was nice. I recommend Kelley's; I'll be going back. Next time, I'm going to try some of the "more traditional Irish" dishes. read more

Don't let the name fool you! I've been here quite a few times and never thought of asking them to slice me some meat or cheese. The food has always been simple but steller. I've had the most awesome pancakes and a delicious wrap here. Also the service has always been super friendly and efficient. The hours are a little limited (usually in the morning till say maybe 2pm) and the prices are dang reasonable until you start adding on things and then it adds up fast. Park in the lot next to the post office and just use the cross walk to their door. Finding street parking can be a little tough. read more

By the looks of it you would thing this was a small mom and pop diner but looks can and are deceiving. We walked in, all three kids in tow, and had a five minute wait on a very busy Saturday morning. Every staff member we encountered was extremely friendly and were always smiling. We were seated in a large booth and promptly ordered since we one what we were getting after reviewing the specials on the menu board when you first walk in. I ordered a pastrami hash special and a classic mimosa to go along with it. The special came with a potato cake, pastrami hash, two eggs cooked to order and toast. The family ordered the french toast, french toast sticks (for kids), and a #2 (eggs/bacon/home fries/toast). All of that and two mimosas set us back a mere $50. Overall an extremely family friendly place with ample seating and friendly staff. Probably our new go to breakfast/lunch joint! I should revisit my opening statement. This is a mom and pop style place but it is not that small inside and there is ample seating. read more

My only critiques are that the ham was a little too salty and it could of used a little more hollandaise sauce (because the sauce tasted so good). The homefries were also tasty. This is a great diner in Westerly, Rhode Island. It's in a cute shopping center a few miles away from the beach where we were staying. You definitely need a car to get here. Very charming decor, lots of cute and funny signs and slogans about Irish culture. There's plenty to chose from on the breakfast menu- eggs, omelette, pancakes, French toast and breakfast sandwiches. They also have daily breakfast specials which are worth checking out. Food was good, the first visit I had raisin bread French toast, and the second visit I had a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich on a kaiser roll. My friends enjoyed their eggs, and the kids French toast sticks were adorable, but deep fried and pretty greasy once they cooled off. Service was great. The waitresses were friendly and attentive. Also the coffee was surprisingly good. They brought crayons and coloring page style placemats for the kids, and as we left each child got to pick a toy from the you box. read more

Went for lunch & four of us were seated at a relatively small table so we were kind of smushed together- perhaps because we had kids with us? At least we all like each other. Anyway, the food was good. I had a baked potato soup that was very tasty, the kids enjoyed their sandwiches as did my husband. It's a cute little restaurant & the breakfast menu looks good- we'll probably go back to try breakfast in the near future (wish they served breakfast all day). Four of us ate for less than $20, which is amazing, & everyone was pleased. Not overwhelmed, but perfectly content. The menu is a bit confusing as the breakfast menu is prominently featured, even though they don't serve it for more than half of their day... we figured it out though, so I guess it's not that confusing. I had to ask about the soup because it's not on their menu at all- my husband had noticed it when we walked in on the board. Only my mentioning that I really wished they had soup made him say, "oh- I think they do!" & then the waitress told us which soups they offered... so I wish they'd add a "soup of the day" to the menu (or if it's there, I didn't see it). I haven't posted a review for a few years, but I can't say enough about Kelly's. The food, the service, the atmosphere and all the people there are exceptional! My absolute favorite meal is the potato soup, and It IS a meal! I always look forward to going to Kelly's, but my only complaint it that they are not open on Mondays. I can live with that. I do find myself bouncing in my seat a little when the Irish music is playing. I hope nobody minds, I'm a little old for that! Keep up the great work, I'll keep up my appetite! Eggs are eggs, they were done correctly. Bangers are great, flavorful and juicy. Irish potato cakes were perfect. Nicely browned on the outside, soft and hot inside...so good. I will go back. My boyfriend and I are camping in the area and wanted to try a new breakfast place. First time ever being here, we usually go to another local diner but we wanted to try something new. As soon as you walk in, there is an abundance of cute Irish decor. We waited for less than five minutes to get a table. Our server was Ryan and he was so nice!!! Honestly the entire wait staff was friendly! I ordered a red white and blue mimosa (delish). For my breakfast I ordered the kelleys something. The dish came with bacon, sausage, eggs, toast, and two pancakes. My boyfriend ordered the dubliner. We probably waited ten minutes for our food. Hot and fresh!! I've eaten there several times and it's always terrific. The split pea soup is wonderful as is their signature potato and cheddar soup. My favorite sandwich is the chicken salad with dried cranberries served on toasted raisin bread. The food here was really good, but 2 things happened today that spoiled the place today the first wasn't the restaurant's fault. There was a wait and when the bench cleared the 2 young kids- one with his face buried in a phone grabbed up the seat.
