This is one of my favorite places in all of New London County. It is the only place I will wake up early for to beat the crowd and get bagels. Yes, get here early especially in tourist season to beat the crowds, and order ahead if the option is available. They do sell out so check their instagram/facebook first to make sure they haven't yet. My current go to is a plain or sesame bagel toasted with butter and a little hot honey. When I am more hungry, I go for the sweet Lou with no cheese or the Hot Boi with no cheese and cream cheese on the side. The eggs are local and everything is cooked perfectly. The everything bagel is a little too salty for my tastes, but friends love it! My boyfriend is incredibly picky about bagels but if I come home with no bagel for him he gets in his feelings--it's that good. I'm so happy to see The Flour Shop thrive here in Pawcatuck. They started off with humble beginnings and it's been great to watch them grow and expand. Staff is always kind, even with the stress of the tourist season. Check this place out! read more

I would give 6 stars if it would let me!!! If you haven't made it to The Flour Shop Bagels & More yet, you're seriously missing out. This hidden gem is already going viral in real life, and after my visit, I completely understand why. Be prepared to wait (the line stretched out the door and wrapped around the building) but don't let that scare you away. It moves pretty fast. It's absolutely worth the wait. And that says a lot coming from an impatient New Yorker that hates to wait. Inside is small and can get pretty crowded, but there are a few outdoor tables if you'd rather enjoy your food outside. Parking was surprisingly easy, with a decent-sized lot. The service was just as impressive as the food. Owner Hannah was wonderful to chat with and clearly passionate about what she's built. Alyssa, who took my order, was incredibly patient and helped me narrow down the menu with fantastic recommendations!! I tried the #3 Sweet Lou on a jalapeño bagel with cream cheese, and it was the perfect balance of sweet and spicy. The cheddar scallion bagel with regular cream cheese was light, flavorful, and had just the right amount of crisp on the outside. I also had the Meemers BLT on a margarita bagel, which was absolutely delicious. For drinks, I ordered the Cookie Butter Cold Brew with cold foam and the Banana Bread Latte with caramel and cold foam. Both were incredible and packed with flavor. (I usually don't even like cold brew) From the exceptional service to the outstanding food and drinks, everything exceeded my expectations. The Flour Shop Bagels & More absolutely lives up to the hype and is a must visit if you're looking for one of the area's best breakfast spots. I came to this establishment for the Yelp elite experience: badge month for the Flour Shop. I forgot to check in as a Yelp elite. I highly recommend coming to this bagel shop as there bagels are #1 rating and they prepare gourmet egg sandwich, brunch and lunch meals made with Jewish style bagels and have gourmet coffee. I went with the T-Swifty bagel sandwich w turkey on a cheese bagel. I also had the cinnamon bun iced latte for my beverage and I highly recommend getting it as it's so delicious and yummy. Super cute shop. Very tasty bagel sandwiches. Excellent coffee. Parking is on the south side of the building (north side lot is a private club). Enter through the door at the sidewalk. There is a sandwich board in the parking lot next to the employee entrance with the days sandwich options. The shop is small with seating for about ten people. Most of the traffic during our visit was take away. Order counter is on the left with the menu board overhead and available bagels in bins. Place your order and pay, then pick up at the next counter. No paper receipts, but you can have one emailed. For coffee orders, staff will add the milk of your choice, or you can add cream and sweetener at a table to the right of the pick up area. This table also has drink lids, napkins and stir sticks. Online orders are left on shelves by the door for quick and easy pick up. Staff here are very friendly. The bagel selection is creative. I had a jalapeno and havarti cheese bagel with cream cheese. The flavor of the bagel was just right. The cream cheese is very smooth and there was plenty on there. The bagels are a respectable size. Any bigger would be too big imho. The texture is dense with a pleasant chew. I couldn't tell the bagels were sour dough, maybe because of the jalapeno. My SO got themselves a Hot Boi on a prosciutto bagel. To say it was very much enjoyed is probably a bit of an understatement. It was pretty much inhaled and then expounded on in detail. So yes, it was a hit. We both had a Dave's drip coffee which is very smooth. They offer a variety of coffee drinks and seasonal specials are listed on the menu. They all sound amazing. After visiting @flourshopbagels in the Pawcatuck / Stonington area, in the Bitter Cold, for an @yelpconnecticut Elite Check In Event yesterday, I have to say Flour Shop Bagels is now among my favorite CT Bagels Shops. I'm going to do two reviews for Flour Shop. One is on the Event Page and is limited to what I tried at the Yelp Check In Event. This one focuses on the half dozen bagels and cream cheese I purchased. Flour Shop is a small independent bagel shop, with some limited seating. They also have a robust takeout business. I arrived at Opening at 8 am. The shop was instantly thriving. The Flour Shop Team was friendly, helpful and efficient. I ordered a half dozen bagels to bring home. I asked if they had Veggie Cream Cheese, which is my go to. They didn't have any made, but they offered to make Veggie CC on the Spot. And you know what? It was Top 10 Percentile for all Bagel Shops. Full of chunks of veggies. Great texture and great color. Flour Shop boils and bakes their Bagels. I tried the Prosciutto Special Bagel and a Spicy Egg Everything. They were good chewy. Fresh. The Prosciutto was crispy, which was the way to do it for a bagel. The seasoning for the Spicy Egg Everything was nuanced and tasty. The Bagels look a bit rustic in a good way. The Flour Shop executed the classics well. Great coverage on the Sesame and Everything Bagels. If you live in the greater Stonington area, visiting The Flour Shop is an easy decision. This place is AMAZING! We went this morning to pick up bagels for family visit and decided to stay for breakfast. The shop may be small but the server's personalities are large! We got a dozen bagels to go and then had the Flying Pig ( egg, cheese, ham and a delicious scallion spread ) and one with lox and cream cheese. They were DELICIOUS!! Along with our sandwiches we got a cold brew and a Dubai Latte; I should have ordered the large.. it was incredible!! This time, I re-ordered the BEACH on an everything bagel (bacon, egg, avocado, cheese, hashbrown) but added an extra egg and scallion cream cheese. The bagels are pretty thick and so I wanted more filling. This was the perfect ratio and flavor profile for me. The bagels are not NY style but still very delicious. I also got a lox and cream cheese bagel to eat later for lunch. Another delicious combo with a good amount of smoked salmon! Staff were friendly and welcoming and the place is so cute. My bagels this time were much saltier than the previous visit. I had a wonderful iced matcha latte last time and want to try another fun drink. I arrived at ~12:30 today (Saturday) and they were sold out!!! This is clearly a good sign... I was sad, but that's life! The woman working in there (who unlocked the door for my puzzled looking self, peering through the glass), was very friendly. I ordered a banana bread latte and it was tasty. Best bagels in Pawcatuck! I was visiting the area and found this spot for bagels! The Flour Shop serves various flavors of bagels as well as coffee and other drinks. I ordered their bagel with lox sandwich on an everything bagel. You can see all the seasoning on the bagel and it was fresh and well made. The lox was delicious and abundant in the sandwich. The Flour Shop does not skimp on their ingredients on their sandwiches! The staff are very friendly here and will answer all your questions. They have very limited seating indoors but more seating outside. There is a little parking lot out back so parking is very easy here. Overall a great place to grab breakfast. read more

I am so glad I found this place. It has a great location. It is in Pawcatuck, CT but so close to the RI border in Westerly. You could take a lovely walk in the downtown after enjoying breakfast or lunch here. They have a nice parking lot. My son and I got the OG sandwich with sausage on a cheddar scallion bagel. It was a delicious breakfast sandwich. They had so many combinations to try that I look forward to trying more of them. My husband wanted to try the jalapeño havarti bagel with scallion cream cheese. He said had a nice little kick. We also tried the rosemary bagel also again with scallion cream cheese. The scallion cream cheese is excellent and the rosemary bagel had such good flavor. They have many bagels variations you don't always find at other locations I want to try like the prosciutto one. My son got the cold brew iced coffee and said was very good. You do need to add cream and sugar at station so tell them to save room if wanting cream. The peppermint iced coffee was delicious. The place is very cute but is small. They maximize seating with a few nooks for eating. In the warmer months they have bistro seats outside and Wilcox Park is close by to enjoy food there as well. They also do catering as well for larger parties if you need that as well. So glad I found this gem. read more

We ended up getting half a dozen to bring home and freeze. The atmosphere is very laid back...they were pumping 2000s jams, which was amazing. It seems to be a family business and the owners have at least one little kid. This place is hard to find, but worth it so don't give up! The best thing to ever happen to Pawcatuck, CT. Easily the best bagels outside of NYC. I come here weekly and the results are superb every time. My favorite bagels are the cheddar scallion and sesame. For sandwiches, I love the "flying pig" and "the sweet lou". Be prepared to come early, they are prone to sell-out! Everything here is exceptional. friendly staff, love the location, and great, unique menu. It's hard to find good traditional bagels that are soft inside and slightly crispy on the outside but these fit the bill perfectly. I do wish they'd update their website so you'd know if the bagels are out but still worth the risk driving out as the bagels and sandwiches are perfect. read more
