The office was quick in responding to my call, and very professional in setting my appointment, which was about 5 days out. I got the legend himself, Mark Kelly on my visit. He was very professional and respectful, with mask and shoe covers, and also called when he was about ten minutes away and en route. I had some issues with washer, microwave, and dishwasher. He fixed them all in about 60-90 minutes, explained in laymen's terms what he was doing and other preventative tips, and the price was very reasonable. This was a Friday afternoon, and it sent me into the weekend very happy, taking 3 items of to do off of my list. My dishwasher was leaking from the front door and Mark came to take a look. After spending almost an hour, and no leak he stated if it leaked again he would be right out. Well of course it didn't leak when he was there but the first time we tried using it, bam, leaking again. I called and he was back out to my place within a couple of days, no charge. This time, no leak again even though I showed him exactly where the water was coming out. So he couldn't fix it, but it wasn't that he didn't try. To top it off he sent me back my original check for the service call. He didn't need to do that as he came to my house twice no charge. I read all the great reviews and was looking forward to having them come out to our home in rural Petaluma. My son is staying at the home and we gave them 3 phone numbers because cell service is spotty. My son and our caretaker were home waiting for them. The tech claims he came out but no one was there and he left messages on the phones. Not only was someone around but not one of our phones had messages or even missed calls. I would not have been unhappy if they had apologized about a miscommunication but instead they implied that we were lying. I do not believe in dealing with a business that treats customers that badly. read more

Sam and Bianca removed the front panel and found the source of the noise: a pebble wedged in next to the drum. All I had to pay was the service call, but I got great service. First contact with a very courteous customer service woman on the phone who set up the appointment. Dane and his trainee tried to troubleshoot the problem with ice forming in the bottom of my bottom drawer refrigerator. This problem was ongoing for months and our ice maker was not working so we replaced it thinking it was the source of the problem. No luck, the ice continued so I called Kelly's. Shane initially said the problem was the valve that regulated the flow of water to the ice maker. He also said that the problem could be the water filtration system the supplies the unit. (??) I had mentioned that it appeared to me that the water was coming from behind the metal at the back of the freezer but this idea was discounted by Dane. He completed the job, 225.00 later, and left. Two hours later I checked the freezer and noticed water and ice again forming in the bottom. I called Kelly's and received a return call from Dane who said it was probably residual ice melting after the steam he used and to call back the next day if it continued. Fast forward 24 hours the ice was forming as badly as before. I scheduled another appointment and requested the same techs since they had already started the project. Dane returned as scheduled and as we walked into the kitchen he said "I'm afraid you might have a cracked water line." What Dane didn't know is that I had done some research and discovered that this is a common issue with this model and that there is a drain hole in the location I mentioned previously to Dane. The hole becomes clogged causing ice to form. I mentioned this to Dane and he scoffed and said, "I know about the drain." If he knew about the drain I'm wondering why I was charged 225.00 for a part I probably didn't need when clearing the ice from the drain was the simple solution. read more

They were on time, clean, courteous and told me before they started how they'd fix the problem and how much it would cost. I called Kelly's this morning regarding my dryer that didn't produce heat and they gave me a same day window appointment between 12-2. Mark called to say he was on his way arriving around 1 and within 30 minutes diagnosed the problem (igniter), quoted cost to fix, replaced the igniter and even removed clogged lint in outside ventilator. In this case the reviews are accurate. They came on time. They were completely professional. They informed me ahead of time what might be broken. They found the simplest repair and did it in less than 15 minutes. They told me how to use the machine in the future to avoid the same repair (always wash more than one item at a time). Then I asked about my stove temperature buttons (up was working, down was not). They opened up the top of the stove, saw that an anchor of some sort had broken. Then they took out a soldering iron so that I wouldn't have to replace the whole motherboard and in about 30 more minutes I could adjust the temperature down again. Totally worth every penny. Our new-ish Samsung refrigerator had an issue. I tried all the self-help I could online and through Samsung's support center. Despite their recommendations, the refrigerator just was not cooling. There was a moment where I thought I should have purchased the "extended warranty" that is always offered when making a major purchase. The extended warranties are always expensive and they always try to think of a reason *not* to cover the repair or try to talk you into purchasing a new unit. Kelly's appliance to the rescue. I phoned at 11:00 AM and the technician was early for the 3:00 - 5:00 time window. They fixed the problem on the spot for an extremely fair price and did not try to gouge me on any extras. I guarantee the fee I paid for the prompt, professional service from Kelly's appliance was WAY cheaper than a useless 'extended warranty.' read more

Shane is great! He repaired damage done to my Bosch washer by another appliance repair service. Initially, I had Juan Juarez from Juarez Appliances come out to work on my Bosch washer. Basically, the machine did not run after Juan worked on it. He didn't know what he was doing, and wrenched the front off from the washer making horrible metallic sounds, and breaking several things in the process. After Juan Juarez worked on it, it ran for one cycle making horrible sounds, and then stopped working. I then looked for another appliance repair service and came cross Kelly's Appliance Center on Yelp. Actually, I learned of Kelly's from another disgruntled Juarez Appliances customer, who mentioned Kelly's Appliance Center in their Yelp review. Shane and his co-worker from Kelly's Appliance came out; they noted the damage, and put the machine back into working order. I am so thankful I came across Kelly's. He did and suggested based on my description and his experience that I swap the hot and cold hoses as the original plumbers may have swapped the red and blue open close knobs. My range was taking over an hour to pre-heat, arranged a call out for the following week giving the make and model number on the phone. I was given a 2 hour window and sure enough I got a call when Shane was 15 minutes away. On arrival he got straight to work and had brought the new part (the ignitor) that they suspected needed to be replaced ahead of time. I called them and told them exactly what was wrong with my appliances (I saved up a few repairs and had them all done at the same time) AND I told them what brands I had. They said no problem and they would be there the next day. They were BUT, had no idea how to fix my french door refrigerator that the door keeps popping open when you close the other side, was supposed to call me back on a part for my oven door (and didn't), did reseat my trash compacter, but it still looks crooked and finally, repaired my dishwasher door. The repair guy from Kelly's (his name is Hans) came on time, quickly determined what was wrong with my washing machine and carefully fixed it. I say carefully because there were some objects in the hose, one of which was sharp and could have easily punctured a hole in the (rubber) hose ($$$ to replace). There was also an object lodged in the pump which seemed to be the problem. Hans told me he loves working for Kelly's because they don't over charge their customers and can be relied on for quality work. That was my experience! I'm writing this review because I am grateful for his honesty and concern about not charging me for things I didn't need (he could have damaged the hose while removing the objects and said I needed a new hose, said the pump was compromised and charged for that, etc.) I felt the bill was reasonable. After Home Depot delivered, but refused to install my dishwasher (because they're lazy), I called Kelly's and shoulda called them in the first place! I called at the end of the day on Tuesday and they scheduled me for the next afternoon. AWESOME! The technicians arrived right on time and were very friendly and professional. They had a difficult space to work in, but had the dishwasher installed and running in an hour. AWESOME! My "vintage" electric wall oven went on the blitz in my vacation rental, wouldn't turn on at all. (Of course, this is the week before a solidly booked Thanksgiving holiday. ) Sam from Kelly's came out in short order. But as I feared, the oven is so old he wasn't able to track down parts (even the manufacturer rep was kinda laughing that their oldest employee couldn't remember when they last carried the part). But Sam kept plugging away, made phone calls to his boss, and they came up with a potential (but certainly not immediate) fix of repurposing another part. So, boo, 10 days of rental probably cancelled .... 15 minutes later, I get a call from Sam, who's on the road and wanted to walk me through the oven's oddball bank of control knobs. Lo and behold. A 1974 oven setting had been fiddled with, and shut down manual control of turning the thing on! Seems Sam did a bit more research - and solved the problem, and saved my day, week, month! We recently purchased a brand new clothes dryer from Home Depot that needed to be vented out of the side, not the back. Home Depot delivery drivers are not equipped to do this - so I figured that I could. After reading the instructions and viewing a YouTube video, I took the back of the dryer off and went to work. Two hours later, cut up and bruised, I realized just how difficult thus job was and that I was in over my head. I made a decision to call Kelly's Appliance Center for help. The appointment was scheduled and I was given a 2 hour time window. Mark called when he was on the way. He got here on time, took the dryer apart and fixed the venting problem. The repair and service call were only $140 as estimated over the phone. The next day, I realized that the dryer was now making a rattling noise that it had not made before, (probably due to something I did when I took it apart). Mark came back out, again took the entire dryer apart, found the noise problem and fixed it. Cost for the return call: Free. Just had my fridge fixed by them as my usual guy won't work on this particular brand. I feel so lucky to find another great repair company with a service guy (Hans) that knows what he is doing. Wanted to make sure we gave Kelly's Appliance Center a shoutout. Several months ago, we moved into a new house with new appliances, including a Haier fridge. Unfortunately, it stopped working after just a week, and getting help from Haier support was kind of a nightmare. Mark visited several times to look at and work on the fridge, did some research and ordered parts, assisted with calling Haier support (which proved to be frustrating), etc. Ultimately, after a few visits, he found that he was unable to fix the fridge (essentially a failure on Haier's part), but he and the company assisted us so we could try to get a refund from the manufacturer. Several weeks later, we received a check in the mail from Haier, so overall, it was a success. While it was frustrating to deal with this particular fridge, Kelly's offered responsive, friendly, and personable service. read more
