booked my first appt here after seeing all the good reviews. her first language is not english so it was slightly difficult to understand her, even as an asian american but wasn't too much of a problem. kelly is very nice, but does seem busy so my apt did seem rushed a bit as she had another client at the same time, but the results are WORTH IT. usually it takes my face over a week to recover from a facial but 24 hours later i have no swelling, no redness, and only a few scabs from where the extractions were. the pricing is very high but i would say its worth for the results. will be coming back soon!!! read more

Had a horrible experience here 3 years ago and finally ready to talk about it. First, when Kelly came and got me from the lobby for my appointment she was on the phone with her bank and continued to stay on the phone for another several minutes. Then during the facial, when she put a mask on me she left me for several minutes during which time she went and got someone else and put them in the bed next to me and started working on them without asking me or letting me know. I didn't appreciate opening my eyes and having a stranger suddenly lying right next to me. Finally and most importantly, Kelly butchered my face when doing the extractions. I was actively bleeding from my cheeks and forehead when I left, and the cheek acne scars I have from this facial have persisted over years and despite medical treatments like Accutane and retinoids. I never ever leave reviews, and I understand that facials can sometimes be painful experiences, but this was a terrible experiences and had lasting and expensive consequences. read more

It's a little early for me to review Kelly's Beauty but I went today after seeing the many positive reviews. Setting up an appointment was super easy and Kelly responds very quickly by text. I was intending to do the deep cleansing facial but when she saw my skin under that unapologetic magnifying light, she suggested I do a more "intensive" one. She mostly focused on extractions which were mostly manageable except two that hurt pretty badly. Afterwards, my skin definitely looked cleaner but I have two extremely noticeable scars from the two extractions that hurt the most. I am really hoping they go away because they look significantly worse than when I went in. She said to give it two weeks, which is quite a long time. Kelly was so sweet and kind, she had some great authentic Chinese music on, and was such a professional. Everything is very clean and hygienic, she makes sure you're comfortable every time she switches to a new phase of the facial, and gave the most incredible face massage I've ever had. I didn't even know face massages were a thing but wow are they fabulous. She started off with hot steam to open my pores as she did the extraction, used a light machine to disinfect the bacteria, exfoliated my skin, did the face massage and topped it off with a thick cooling mask which was amazing. But the results speak for themselves--after two sessions, I have a brand new back! I'll be going back every few weeks up until my wedding to make sure I feel 100% confident in my strapless dress. I think Kelly's Beauty is better for those with already unproblematic skin. I first went to see her when I had severe acne and she made a lot of discouraging remarks about my skin. Tsk tsking the whole time about how bad my clogged pores were. I understand that this a sales tactic to push her own products and package deal (consisting of 6-9 appointments or so), but I still didn't appreciate it nor did it make me want to commit to seeing her long-term. The extractions hurt a lot because she used heavy-handed force, even on new pimples that weren't ready to be popped yet, and it left scars (though I didn't realize at the time). I actually think I could've been swayed to buy a package if she were more encouraging and optimistic about healing my skin. Anyway, I ended up giving her another chance months later after my skin healed somewhat using my own products and I noticed that this time around she was much nicer toward me. She complimented the state of my skin, gave me what felt like a longer massage, and made comments about other clients having terrible skin. It was an uncomfortable experience. I also experienced the passive aggressiveness another reviewer wrote about through text with Kelly. I felt like she finally showed her true colors. I have been coming for over 6 months now and my skin has significantly improved since that first visit. I wish I had taken pictures of my skin before, but to describe it - I have mixed oily dry skin, prone to breakouts, tiny white and black heads and occasionally larger cystic pimples around my chin. I've tried everything, Proactiv, prescription skin creams, pills, all which have only managed to treat the break outs but not prevent them. But Kelly is thorough and spends over 30 minutes just extracting, getting every little white head. My first visit, she insisted that I also get the diamond microdermabrasion add-on and I'm so glad I did! I made an appointment for a facial on a Monday (holiday) afternoon. Kelly was able to accommodate me same day and sent me a text to let me know she was running behind. Which is super nice! The salon is in the China Trade Center and it was a bit confusing to find as it's behind Ecco beauty and has a separate door. The security guard led me to the wrong place but that's not his fault -it technically has a different address. The space is small but clean. There are cute curtains dividing the treatment area. Kelly immediately made me feel at home, helped me relax and did a great job on my face. She cleaned, exfoliated and moisturized my face. She started extractions with a suction tool and then manually did the tough ones. She got literally every tiny blemish on my face. She did a light treatment as well to kill bacteria. We finished with a cooling and soothing mask that was very thick but peeled off nicely. My face was red and blotchy when I left. However by Wednesday night my skin was so clear and feels much better. She recommended coming in regularly and at first I was skeptical but now I understand why people love these. She also nicely followed up with me to see if I liked how my skin looked and felt.
