I will say that she is good at extractions and they were the least painful ones I have ever had and parts of the facial was very relaxing that I dozed off, but I felt like she was trying to push her package deal and the products she carried. Also, when I got home from the facial I realized that she did not completely remove the clay mask so there were bits of it in my hair for my entire commute. I was mortified! After this review they sent me screenshot of my review on my personal cellphone along with couple of messages by saying they asked me if I want more so let me explain it is not about less or more it is about- 1. Being unhygienic. 2. Using cold wax and I have to tell you it is not warm at all even you can see it is not able to spread and you didn't stop. 3. You didn't stretch the skin when required, you did when I explained it to you. 4. I have got a bruise on my skin and if I do not stop you using cold wax you would be using it. I moved from California where I loved my facialist and was eager to find a great replacement. I got a facial from Kelly and was left disappointed. I'm not a huge ambiance person (don't care as long as the service is good!) but a good chunk of the time while she was giving me my facial, she somehow was also texting/talking on her cellphone. Not only that, but it felt like she went through a sequence of masks and did little for extractions, which I specifically asked her to focus on. During the facial, I got the impression that she was more interested in trying to sell me on a package than actually give me good treatment. Ironically, I went in eager to find my new facialist and totally willing to commit to a big package but instead, I left knowing I would never go back. It pains me to leave a negative review especially as I want to support Asian businesses but my facial was sub-par. If you already have good skin (no acne, unclogged pores, no need for extractions) and just want a face massage with some moisturizing products, I'm sure this place is fine. I came across Kelly's Beauty on Yelp while searching for a place that provides extractions and deep cleaning for my husband's first facial. All of the rave reviews are accurate! Kelly is not only extremely thorough with the cleaning but also very gentle at the same time. She did such a great job with my husband's facial that I decided to come in myself - we also purchased a package from her and have each come in three times now. I always feel rejuvenated and refreshed after a session with Kelly, and my husband says he has seen a noticeable difference in his skin condition (much cleaner pores!). With the package, the usual hour at Kelly's starts with cleaning the face, gentle steaming with careful blackhead extraction, application of various toners, the absolute best facial and neck massage, then a cool clay mask while she places a warm water bottle behind your neck, and finally cleaning the mask off and applying final toner and spf. Kelly also does my eyebrows as part of the package (it's typically wax, but I am allergic so she kindly tweezes them for me instead). Kelly herself is such a warm person and from the first time we visited her, she treated us like family. She always asks if you are feeling comfortable during the facial and will often joke and chat with us. While Kelly's place is indeed quite small (there is room for just two clients at a time), I found it to be very cozy and meticulously clean. Kelly keeps track and numbers all the tools she uses on each client so each set is unique to each individual - there is no need to worry about cross contamination. I highly recommend Kelly - she goes above and beyond what typical facials entail and her price is more than fair. It's an even better value when you purchase a package. I have gotten plenty of facials over the years, but I have to say that this was one of the best I've ever had. Kelly is courteous, sweet, and takes pride in her work, tailoring the facial to my particular needs (instead of sticking to a facial 'script' as some other places do). There was exfoliation, steaming, extracting, face massage (particularly excellent), and another mask...and I don't quite remember what else because I was so relaxed:) I really appreciated that she took extra time on extractions, because I needed them so badly. I've had several fantastic facials in my life, but Kelly's definitely stands out. She is extremely meticulous in her work and really puts in the time to take care of your needs. Not really happy with the results, a few days laters and I still have scabs from extractions done during an acne facial. Very painful during the process which I know happens, but seemed excessive. Have been going to get facials with Kelly for the past year and she knows her stuff. Her blackhead extractions are thorough and painless - a big plus since my skin is very sensitive and reddens easily. My face always feels so smooth and glowing afterwards. I've been to many other "fancier" places for facials in Boston but Kelly's beauty beats them all. She even gives an awesome facial massage. Appointments are easy to make with her via text - and she's open on the weekends. Her English is limited but I was able to communicate fine with her. Kelly's Beauty is a no-frills spa but Kelly really does a fantastic job at extracting pores, exfoliating, and cleansing your face at a really affordable price. Your face might be red and a little inflamed right after the facial but it looks glowing by the following day. I only took a star off because Kelly answered the phone in the middle of my facial and I could hear her tv in the background at some point but for the price, I don't expect a luxurious atmosphere. I've been coming to Kelly's Beauty since May and today marks my fifth appointment with her. I found her through Yelp and was convinced by the great reviews made about her. I never had acne that needed dire treatment until I came to college and was breaking out with an assortment of whiteheads, pustules and blind pimples. When I had my first facial, Kelly performed multiple extractions on my skin which resulted in some hyper pigmentation for a while because my skin is more sensitive and dry. However, after a few more facials, I was having much less active acne and only had to deal with the marks that were left. When I told her that I didn't want to have as many extractions because I was on specific topical medication, she was super understanding and would always give me a facial massage and an awesome hydration healing mask. My results are obviously not immediate as I only go once per month and my face is quite blotchy in the first few days after the facial. However, I really do recommend for you to give Kelly a try if you are experiencing difficulties with keeping your skin clear. The price is quite reasonable and she is always very understanding and gives me free eyebrow waxing because of my circumstances as a college student. She's a very lovely and friendly soul! read more

I'm a skin fanatic and have been getting facials since teen in LA and SF. I can tell how good the esthetician is by the first visit and Kelly's been one of the best esthetician I've had. I especially loved how thorough Kelly is with exfoliation and extractions. Unlike some of high-end spas where the esthetician leaves a mask on you, leaves and comes back in 15 minutes, Kelly stays with you the entire course of the treatment, providing hot stone massages while you have the mask on. Price is very reasonable for the level of service you receive. She does push on purchase of package, but I'm not bothered because if you like it, the package provides pretty big savings.
