Delicious food, don't let the building fool you. We stumbled upon this place as we were looking for something local to eat at while we waited for our flight home. The server was friendly, the complimentary kimchi was delicious and made us excited for our food to come out. We got the teriyaki chicken plate, the chicken katsu and the house special combo. All were tasty! The only small complaint was the plates came out one at a time with a couple minute lag. It was no worries and we left satisfied! This place has the best sushi! Seriously the best I've had in Hawaii or in California. The fish is incredibly fresh and skillfully cut. Plus the presentation for the rolls is beyond anything I've seen before. It was absolutely fabulous! The sushi isn't on the normal menu, just ask for the sushi menu though and they'll bring it right over. Plus they have sushi happy hour from 11-2 and 5-7 for dining in. They are closed Tuesdays, but open all the other days of the week. read more

This is the old Asian Cuisine located at the Kahului Shopping Center. Still same decor as previous but the obvious change is the service and the tastiness of the food. I've been to this place several times over the past couple of years and noticed how slow the service was. Just waiting for a cup of water at the table was painful! Forget about refills either! As we walked in today, the place was empty and we were greeted by someone who came out of the kitchen. Upon sitting, we were given banchan but nothing else. About 10 minutes later, a friendly lady came out from behind and gave us menus but no water. She was attentive to us at first, coming back after we selected what we wanted. Still no water. When giving her my order, she asked if I wanted rice (which is normally included on their plates) but I guess it's Ala carte now? I asked her about this and she said she wasn't sure. Still no water. Placed our orders and she came back about a minute later to tell me my choice wasn't available. I gave her another selection and she went into the kitchen again. Still no water. I got up to look for some cups and water to serve ourselves, but couldn't find any. I couldn't even find our waitress! About 15 mins later, the waitress comes out with our food but no water. I asked if we could get a couple of cups of water to drink and she finally brought them. Still no other customers came in either. As we ate, the food was subpar. I'm used to having decent food here but this time was an exception! Kim CHEE fried rice was terrible with no taste and the spicy pork tasted only like the spicy powder, not marinated as we,re used to. We ate a couple of bites and couldn't find our waitress to ask for our check. By this time, we were there about 45 minutes. I looked in the kitchen but couldn't see anyone. They used to have a bell to ring at the cash register but this time it was gone. I kept saying "excuse me" in the kitchen but to no avail! We waited instead of dining and dashing and the waitress finally came out. She asked if we wanted to take the food home since we hardly touched it. We politely declined (that's how bad it tasted). We're not into causing scenes or disrespecting people, especially since we're both former servers. Left a tip (enough to cover her required taxes) paid and left. Very disappointed with this place! Seems like every time I've gone there, there's been a decline of some sort (servers, taste of food, availability). I would not recommend this place and will probably not go back. read more

Wanted to try something new. We were regular customer's of Asian Cuisine but heard of new owners. It was not crowded. The food is very tasty. They offer ban chan which was kim chi. The waitress and cook were very friendly. More word of mouth and pr would be helpful. We do not have much sit in restaurants in the area. We will go again. read more

This is the first time we've been here since they changed their name. But it looks the same inside and their menu is the same as when they were Asian Cuisine. We got there at about 8:15 pm on a Saturday night and found out they close at 9. We were rushed to order and felt like we had to rush to eat. The restaurant is spacious and allowed for social distancing. The bar area on the other side of the restaurant was closed. We only saw one person working in the restaurant. She was friendly but was rushing to close up. We sat on the left side of the restaurant. There was red paper covering the lights above which gave our table a red hue. They have a small private room towards the back of the restaurant that looks like a tea room. The food was good. Similar to what it was before. We got the meat jun and mandoo combo and spicy squid. If we go back we'll definitely go earlier so we don't feel rushed. read more

It was a quick stop we made to this mall as we were rushing to the airport on a Black Friday, every other business were closed, and we decided to give it a try. It is a very simple place but, 1- food there beats any fancy asian restaurant you ever tried, 2- staff was so nice that without any ask from us they brought our kid's water with no ice and as we mentioned we we were getting a fried rice for the child they also prioritized it. We are going back home surprised with this small place we found and we will definitely go back when we are back in Maui read more

Since it's cleaned up after previously being Asian Cuisine, it's very clean and neat inside. Service is pretty good and their food is aMAZING! My mom (Korean and SUPER picky) prefers this place for Korean food over the other Korean places here. Their Chinese and Chinese-Korean fusion dishes are excellent- the jajjangmyeon and jjampong, tangsuyuk, beef broccoli, fried rice are all tried and true. Great prices and serving sizes, and just excellent all around. I hope people will give this place another shot, I'd hate to lose a good Korean/Chinese/Sushi spot like this! read more

Great food. The inside looked clean, but dated. The ladies lav has some issues, but usable and clean. I was looking for a Kung pao chicken fix whilst on vacation and this really did it. It wasn't the Kung pao I was expecting - not many peanuts, and while I'm not a big fan of zucchini, and this had quite a bit of it, it was amazingly flavorful, as were the orange peppers. Living as I currently do in Minnesota, I always have to tell restaurants to bump up the spiciness, but totally didn't need to do that here. Perfect spiciness, perfect lunch size portion. Lots of Korean options on the menu as well as sushi, so I'm sure I'll be back. read more

This restaurant has no sushi bar and no liquor license. Two people in our party ordered the butterfish, but their dishes looked completely different. One had only a ton of grilled onions and the other had very little grilled onions with broccoli and carrots. When we asked about the dishes looking so different, the server just said the cook sometimes doesn't pay attention. I ordered a combo with kalbi. My dish came without the kalbi. When it finally came, they were over marinated and one was burnt. The cook seemed to be preoccupied with the family or friends at the table in the back of the restaurant. Also, the service was so slow, and that was before we got menus and placed our order. There were only two other tables with customs. The place was pretty good I enjoyed the spice pork that they offered and I gotta say it's pretty great! They only had two employees I've seen run the whole thing and with people coming in and out I feel bad for the guy running back and forth to fill out the orders. They said they offer sushi and I saw people get but for some reason sometimes they don't I'm not sure whether it's only on certain days or not. Also they said they have no liquor license yet but that's a coming soon thing as said by the guy that sat us down and took our order. Also the Yakiniku they offered looked pretty cool! This is the best Korean food in Kahului for mainstays such as Kalbi and Bibimbap. I usually get the Derk Mandoo Duk, which is an amazing soup on rainy nights. I think it may be the only genuine Korean food on the island and they are locally owned. read more
