This is a really cool restaurant. We stopped in while sightseeing in Ontario. The music drew is in, but the food and service completely delivered! They had someone playing live music over lunch. The menu for kids was one of the best we saw on vacation, including the special drinks for kids. Our server was very professional, prompt, and friendly. The 'lady friend' and I went to dinner here in the middle of the week. A crying baby or two a few tables over was a bit annoying, but that's the risk of going to dinner in a family oriented area of town (Clifton Hill). I ordered the 'Messy Beef Sandwich'...excellent flavor and added gravy to the fries (recommended if you're not counting calories on your vaca like we are). She had the 'Messy Fish Sandwich' which too was excellent. Substituted a caesar salad for fries at no charge...which was a little over dressed (maybe order it on the side?). AHH!! You need to hear this. Please let me vent. I couldn't wait to get back to my hotel to write a satisfying review of my bad experience. So, my dad and I drove here from Connecticut for a wedding in Toronto. We stopped at Niagara Falls to stay a night in this fantastic touristy town. We were looking for a place to eat and saw that Kelsey's had a nice patio with a musician singing and playing guitar out there. That drew us in. We sat and when the waitress came over, we ordered the mozzarella bread, which sounded fantastic. When the food runner brought it over, she just dropped it off without bothering to notice we had no silverware, no plates, and no napkins. Bah, whatever. We ate the bread with sticky hands. The bread was gooey on the inside. It clearly came straight from the freezer. Huge turn off. We waited a while before the waitress bothered to come back, my hands desperate for a napkin. She apologetically brought silverware and napkins over after I asked. Around now is when I noticed that none of the long-haired waitresses didn't have her hair tied back. Rule #1 in restaurant health regulations, I mean come on. This can't just be an American thing. When it was time to order, I asked the waitress about 3 different menu items, all of which she had never tried. ....Really? My dad ordered the salmon, and I ordered the Sonoma salad with chicken. We literally waited 45 MINUTES for this food. No excuse. It wasn't even busy. When our food arrived, my chicken was not hot, yet tasty. The salad wasn't terrible, but the dressing- some sort of over-salted orange vinaigrette, was not very good. My dad's salmon dish was laughable! The salmon was covered in a heavy dill sauce with WAY too much dill. Just overpowered the flavors. The mashed potatoes I can't even believe. You know those boxed mashed potatoes? Processed flakes, just add water, that crap? That's what this tasted like. In fact, that's what it was, I'm sure of it. Any place who can't bother to make their own mashed potatoes, I can't bother to respect. And his vegetable, some sort of cubed sweet potato (2 potatoes in one meal, yeah? really?) were frozen on the inside. Yep, more frozen food. So if I haven't convinced you already, stay away. Try the Hard Rock Cafe or something. We wish we did. read more

Had a late dinner then after a long bus from Toronto. The music was very loud so we had to sit in the back. Ordered lobster bisque and mozzarella bread sticks. The bisque was fine but a bit salty and the portion rather small. Service was a bit slow but then again we changed our seat a few times, firstly because they sitting outside is very uncomfortable and then because the seats inside by the window were too loud because of the loud live music. There is nothing horribly wrong or incredibly good about this place. I would say the best feature of this restaurant is location. It is acceptable food and a short walk from the edge of Niagara falls park. It had ample space on a busy summer Sunday, but by the time we left there was a line at the door. It had live entertainment which was a plus but the volume was on the loud side even though the speakers. The service was courteous but slow. The menu had a lot of interesting items with a lot of variety but very little vegetarian and gluten free options. Also felt like I was being punished for being a vegetarian, cause even though you could replace every burger with a vegetarian option, it clearly stated on the menu you'll only get 1 patty where it states you're getting two if you're ordering meat. The quality and size of the portions were acceptable for the price. No one went hungry but the prices are slightly high. Quality of ingredients were good and food tasted OK, but nothing special about anything I tasted. In general this is a better option than fast food or chain restaurants, but nothing more. read more

Went out to dinner with coworkers last night ( eight of us) and decided to try Kelsey's. We were seated right away (6:30pm) no waiting, which was great. The waiter who served us was very nice and engaging. He had a sense of humor which made my day, because I personally like to have light, funny conversations with people I meet. The waiters recommendations were spot on. The apps were great, we had fried pickles, Flat pan nachos, and spinach dip with nachos. Our entree's were from Burgers, Fish, salads, and pasta, all were very good, both quality and quantity. After our entree's were served,the place was starting to get busy (7:30pm), timing is everything! For the eight of us, the cost with drinks and a generous tip, was $375, which I thought was reasonable. (Less than $50 per person). We ordered our food and enjoyed the afternoon sipping drinks, waiting for our food. And waiting, and waiting. After about 45 minutes our server apologized, said they were short staffed and the kitchen was slammed. And we waited. We saw people seated after us paying their tab before we got our food. Coming from New Orleans, we expected better service in a tourist location. The food finally came after waiting well over an hour, but even more surprising, the salad came out last. After discussing the situation, we started eating our food. As it turns out, the food was actually quite good, but that didn't make up for all the wasted time. A frantic manager that just arrived on the scene immediately came over to our table and profusely apologized for the situation, and before we could say anything she made it clear that all the food would be comped. We obviously would have preferred our food come out on time and we could continue on with our adventures, but we were all in total agreement that the manager really went of the way to make the situation right. We settled for Kelsey's after a long night of stopping at every restaurant to check the menus. I ordered the bacon burger, and while the service was slow, it hardly seemed like any time had passed since we could watch someone play music live on the patio. There was only one little cute ethnic girl with long black hair who actually smiled a lot and would ask if we'd been helped. Thanks to that little nugget who actual made an effort! I hope she was tipped in excess that night because she actually deserved it for offering some form of customer service. Maybe she needs to be on payroll to train the rest of your bartending team, including the older female who looked to be a manager. So on to the food and drinks. Not much to say about it... wings were soggy and the "buffalo" sauce was off putting. The wilted salad and warm dressing was especially my favorite, disgusting!!! Here's a tip, don't serve your customers food that you wouldnt serve your own family. If you know it looks like crap, throw it away and either make it right or say you are out. Also, Stick to beers at this place because clearly there is no standard for knowing how to make drinks. Apparently anyone can be a bartender. FYI- a lemon drop shot consist of more than a shot of vodka sprinkled with some sugar served with a sugared lemon wedge. Do you know how to make a Mai Tai... nope! Maybe offer some bartending classes to your very inexperienced young ladies behind the bar, especially when charging what you charge. In fact have some customer service training while your at it. Clearly this place doesn't like fun and almost everyone there this past Saturday seemed miserable. Came here for the New Year and it was super busy. It is your typical chain restaurant but we didn't have a good experience. The "clean" plates we were given were already dirty with sauce on them, they got orders wrong and the food was sub par. I ordered the rib and wing meal which was a little dry. Two people at our table ordered the bacon mac and cheese and it didn't have much bacon or cheese - very bland taste. At least the onion rings were good. The hostess is the rudest person we have encountered at a restaurant in a very long time. After waiting half an hour she walked us to a table in the sun walking by other available tables. We asked for one of the other tables and she said we needed to go back to the line. After a while she took us to a worst table and said that what the best they could do. The first table I was given was right by the washrooms then I was over to a table that hasn't been cleaned off before finally settling in a booth. One waitress took our drink order and then took the order from the table across from us. Their drinks arrives and she took their dinner order. She never acknowledged me again. A different waitstaff came and apologized. We places out order and it came out in a reasonable amount of time. There were several dirty tables that none of the waitstaff cared enough to clean them. When he mention that to the waiter, he brought the right order in about 20 min, but the meatball were frozen inside. My boyfriend almost break his teeth. Shame!
