I'm writing this after multiple negative experiences that have led me to find a new Mazda dealership. My issues began when a technician forgot to reinstall the under-car shield after an oil change, forcing me to return and miss an appointment I had right after my oil change. The service manager, Alex, offered a free oil change for the trouble after I asked to speak with him, but when I returned for my next visit, they did not honor it. During that same visit, my car was with them for over 5 hours just for them to tell me a thermostat I needed for a check engine light was backordered for months, which didn't fix the problem and left me wondering what took them 5 hours. To make matters worse, I sat in the waiting area for an hour watching what I thought was my car parked outside before anyone told me it was ready, further adding to my frustration once I realized it was my car. After being told for almost three months the part was still unavailable, I called another local Mazda dealer who had the part in stock and fixed it the next day under warranty. Between the poor communication and the lack of follow-through, I cannot recommend this service department. While my primary issues are with Service, my experience with Sales (specifically Nick) was equally disappointing. After expressing interest in a vehicle, I received no follow-up, further cementing my decision to move on from this location. I do want to highlight that Jaz and Corey have consistently been professional, friendly, and efficient. They are clearly assets to the team, and I appreciated their help despite the systemic issues within the department. read more

My experience with Classic Mazda Westside, especially with my Sales and Leasing Consultant, Blanca Dario, and Sales Manager, Anthony, was beyond any previous experience I have had over the many years and vehicles I've possessed. They were truly a delight to work with and worked hard to give me a deal that pretty much was what I had asked for, but even better in terms of the CX-50 Turbo I had the good fortune of driving home! since I didn't buy a car there, but took mine in for service on two occasions I was very impressed with the way they handled things. My first trip was having them inspect my vehicle since it was bought used. They provided me a full video detailing everything and didn't charge me at all for it. That was clue number one that this dealer was a class act. My most recent visit was inspection, oil change, typical routine maintenance. Appointment was easy to make staff, incredibly friendly, accommodations were clean and comfortable in the waiting room. They finished me up, reasonably fast and at a fair price. Based on what I've seen so far, they would be my first choice to go to for my next vehicle purchase. I have been dealing with this dealership for the last 3 weeks. There service sucks. I have had to call more than 3 times on the status of my car. It is a older Mazda (2007) . All I hear is getting the part were hard to get yada, yada, yada. Pick up the car a week ago Friday and didn't even have the car back 24 hours and the check engine light was back on. Told by Cory Hawk they were busy on Monday 11, 2026 and would get looked at on 05/12/2026. Never recieved a call. I called 05/14/2026,. I was then told by Cory that the new problem parts were to be ordered and should be in on 05/15/2026 and should be ready for pick-up on 05/18/2026. I called today and low and behold they didn't work on the car at all. I am suppossed to get the car back tomorrow. There was never any communication except when the car was towed in on 04/23/2026 from Cory maybe twice. So I guess we will see if the car will be ready tomorrow. I'll start by saying I LOVE Mazda--it was the first car I ever personally bought, and it's still one of my top 3 brands. The deal I received was excellent, but unfortunately the experience fell short in two key areas. 1.) Vehicle Cleanliness: The used car was not properly detailed. I found a cigarette and hair between the seats, along with spilled ice cream/sprinkles on the passenger side. Also, the washer fluid warning came on the very next day--clearly it hadn't been topped off. 2.) Sales Tax Exemption: I run a registered rental business (Guardian Auto Rentals) and am tax-exempt on qualifying vehicle purchases. Despite confirmation from the Ohio Department of Taxation and being told dealers can call to verify, this dealership refused to escalate or even try. I was transferred to the used car manager and hit with the "we have no recourse", and to "take it up with the state". They demanded I either return the car or pay the tax, despite already having been paid in full for the vehicle. In the end, I paid the tax to avoid further disruption, mainly because the deal was still strong overall. But I won't be returning. I've added over $300k in vehicles to my fleet in just the past two months and maintain strong relationships with several other dealerships who go the extra mile. I've bought 4 Mazdas in the past year and will continue to buy more, but not from this location. We'll both be fine parting ways. read more

Several years ago, my wife brought her car in to have a stabilizer bar replaced and they set her trunk on fire. They replaced the interior and installed some kind of charcoal box that was supposed to soak up the smell but three years later her car still smells like smoke and chemicals. Basically, they ruined her car and offered no other solutions. Fast forward to this fall when, against my better judgement, I brought my car in for a recall to have the backup camera replaced. They fixed the camera but left a screw or something rattling around in the tailgate and my rear defrost isn't working. I was going to pay someone else to fix the defrost rather than take the risk of going back to Westside, but on New Year's Eve I got a call from the service department telling me that they installed the wrong kind of camera and I would have to bring it back. I scheduled an appointment and brought my car in for them to fix the mistake and they told me that they ordered the wrong camera again and would need to keep my car while they waited for the right camera. At this point I walked out rather than trust them to do anything correctly. Now we have one Mazda with fire damage and one Mazda with a defective backup camera that they couldn't replace and a broken rear defrost that I will have to pay somebody to fix, all thanks to Classic Westside Mazda. Obviously, I would not recommend this service department to anybody who values their property or their time. read more

As someone who has worked in customer service and management for years, I was appalled by the unprofessionalism and complete lack of basic customer care exhibited by Anthony Fatica during my visit to this dealership. I was given an offer over the phone and via text (so I had proof), but when I arrived at the showroom, it became clear that it was a classic bait-and-switch situation. When I brought this to Anthony's attention, he became defensive, raised his voice, and dismissively told me, "I can get you your keys, and you can go elsewhere." This is an unacceptable way to treat any customer, let alone one who had come in with genuine interest in making a deal. As someone who manages teams, I know that this kind of behavior would be grounds for serious corrective action, if not termination. Customer service is the foundation of any successful business, and the experience I had here was the exact opposite of what I would expect from a reputable dealership. My wife and I both lease vehicles, meaning they had the potential for recurring business, but that opportunity is now lost. I'll gladly drive 45 minutes to Brunswick Mazda, where I know I'll be treated with respect and professionalism. I wasn't considering trading my Durango, but they gave me a VERY fair offer, making the process that much easier. Kevin listened to what we wanted and went to great lengths to find the exact car and Tony sweetened the deal to include every feature we required in time to take advantage of a zero apr offer. This dealership is run by crooks. My brother bought his first car from here, and after just two months the engine completely failed. They were so mean! The dealership wasn't going to do anything about it, until endless begging to at least meet him half way with the cost of replacing the engine. They were unresponsive, hard to get a hold of, and truly treated their customer with zero respect. After eight weeks of fixing the engine, he finally had his car back. They left him stranded, without a rental car- leaving him to have to use Uber for every ride to work. He reported the business to The Attorney General, and they were notified, as is protocol. So they continued to THREATEN my brother, telling him that we are keeping your car for as long as we need, because you reported us. read more

Speaking for their service department- and this is true no matter what Mazda you go to- they are SLOW. A simple oil change takes at least 1.5 hours and then I needed a battery replaced in my car keys which added another 20! Save your time and go somewhere else. read more

Service department is incredibly deceptive and overpriced! I was charged $135 for a diagnostic and told "we split the cost if we service it." I did not do repair that came about the diagnostic test, but did another service and was charged full price for a diagnostic. Then $200 for belts to be replaced with another $22 charge of misc. charges. I was told on the phone belts would be $100, but failed to mention the excessive labor and parts charge. Had I known it would have been this much I would not have gotten it done there. Update* The service manager, Brad called and was apologetic about the service and I was refunded for the diagnostic assessment. I still think service was pretty pricey so I will definitely ask directly the total before agreeing to anything , but I appreciate the acknowledgment and response to amend the situation. read more
