Second bad review... first for Sales and now for Service. I dropped off my car Friday at 930am and when I dropped my car off, I had a chip in my windshield on the driver's side. My car was receiving an oil change. When I picked up my car, ironically, their system was not working for me to "sign" off my service. As soon as I pulled out of their parking lot, I noticed that chip was now a 22in crack across my entire windshield on the driver's side. I called within 60 seconds and wanted to know how this happened. I could not turn around as I had an appointment at 5pm and was already running behind. I was told that my service was not in the system yet and that my service advisor Alyssa would call me ASAP. She did not call. I called back today and was transferred to 3 different people, finally I get to Alice who says she is going to talk to Victor, the service manager so he can pull the video footage from the drop off bay and see what they can do. Alice then calls me back hours later and says they "take no responsibility" for the windshield cracking because I could not turn around and come right back and called instead. Despite me taking a picture at the stop light right next to their dealership the moment I got off the phone with them Friday. I ask her to have Victor pull camera footage since my car was parked facing the bay and they would have been able to see it then. Alice became very unprofessional and rude, now stating that they have no cameras, just a video from when I dropped it off; when earlier she told me the bay drop off cameras were being checked. I challenge her and say, "that is not what you told me earlier I want Victor to check those because you will be able to see my car sitting there with the new crack in the windshield" to which she replies "I am done with this conversation". I was not yelling, I was not being rude, I simply challenged her previous explanation of what she stated was going to happen. I have picture evidence, timestamped, and they have camera footage but refuse to take accountability or tell me how this happened. RUN when it comes to this dealership. We took into the dealership who told us they could replace them at a cost to us of $1800 dollars. We went to discount tire to find out they were fully covered under the manufacturer. They replaced both at no charge!!!! Shame on the dealer for having no idea what they are doing! Then this month we take our car in as a sensor is giving an error and they again want to charge us ...we have zero trust in this dealer as they have shown a quick grab for money even when a warranty exist that covered items. Leaving this review after not receiving a follow up. I went to this dealership on 04/25. Sales team was great, no hassle, and showed me a good selection of vehicles in my price range. Signed paperwork and left happy with my car. 3 weeks later I found it strange I have not received any paperwork from the credit union I was financed through. On 05/18 I call the bank and they informed me the loan hasn't been funded. I call the dealership and was told someone would contact me. I get a call after 5pm saying they needed 2 forms redone to fund. The dealership never contacted me to let me know and due to this miscommunication I had to make a payment on my old car that was traded 3 weeks ago. No apology and they stated well you'll get that money back. Does not change the fact that I had to make this payment with my new payment coming up. I reluctantly signed the new forms and asked that someone follow up with me to make sure it was all done. No phone call so I called the bank and they verified it was funded. Ridiculous that I have to take the time to call and verify they did their job. The dealership did not offer any compensation for the inconvenience and disappointed with the lack of communication. Don't LIE and tell me 1.45 Also don't ask me if I want it washed, I answer yes then you Don't wash it!!! After a 2.5 hour wait for an OIL CHANGE you could have washed it to appease the length of wait. I am reviewing this auto dealership in Surprise. The company is Ken Garff Hyundai. We purchased a vehicle from them in mid-october, 2025. They did not warrant the used vehicle, however they were adamant about the fact that their service department goes over every vehicle with a fine tooth comb before it goes onto their car lot. They were pleasant to work with and we trusted them. 3 days after purchasing, the vehicle would not start! A couple times we were close to being stranded because of this issue. After a few days, we discovered, to the tune of nearly $1,000, that this vehicle needed new batteries. (Jeep Wranglers now have TWO batteries.) Well, one would think that that would be something typically gone over when the vehicle (received as a trade in) was in the service department of this dealership! We have attempted to reach Surprise Hyundai (Ken Garff) on numerous occasions and they have refused to return our calls. We have called the service department, our salesperson, and also the general manager. Folks, heads up that this is NOT a reputable or honest dealership! There was no warranty on the vehicle, however this is just bad business! Clearly, they did not service this 2021 Wrangler! Dead, or nearly dead batteries are pretty basic & should be hard to miss. Either they were tested & the dealership KNEW & failed to replace the faulty batteries intentionally, or they were quite remiss in their vehicle inspection. I had one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a dealership at Hyundai of Surprise. What started as a potential purchase quickly turned into a complete nightmare. They were unable to secure reasonable financing, and instead of being transparent or helpful, they attempted to push through a deal with a significantly higher interest rate and inflated monthly payment. When we declined (as any reasonable person would), the situation escalated in a way that was completely unprofessional and honestly shocking. We had already taken the vehicle, and due to work obligations, I asked if we could return it that Saturday. The finance manager flat-out refused and told me "absolutely not." It didn't stop there--he then threatened to report the vehicle as stolen if it wasn't returned immediately. Let that sink in. A dealership threatening a customer with a stolen vehicle report over a scheduling request. The way he spoke to me during this interaction was aggressive, disrespectful, and completely unacceptable. Instead of working with us or showing any level of customer care, he chose intimidation and hostility. This experience felt more like dealing with a predatory operation than a reputable dealership. High-pressure tactics, bait-and-switch financing, and outright threats are not how legitimate businesses operate. I strongly recommend that anyone considering doing business here think twice. There are plenty of dealerships that value their customers and operate with integrity--this is not one of them. read more

I called to ask how they would go about cleaning the injectors on my 2013 Elantra GT. The person answering the call was very rude he stated that the service advisor would provide this information during the "consultation" once I was at the dealership. I explained that I wanted this information in order to make an informed decision on whether I wanted them to service my car. He further stated that they are busy and may not get back to me before my scheduled appointment it's 1246 my appt is at 1500 does it normally take a service advisor 2.25 hrs to return a call? Customer service matters to me so unless I get a call I will not be using the service department at this dealership. read more

We had Kay working with us during the test drives, yes there were 2. He was personable and easy to talk to, made us feel at ease. We really wanted to see him get a commission since he was so great. Jaylen was the financial part and signing papers was so easy and seamless. He was great also and funny. Neither made us feel pressured, I've had a few that were snarky about it at other dealerships. Well if you want good service DON'T take your car there. Service Adviser Antonio Clara and the rest of the staff with the exception of John fail miserably, they need to go back and find out what customer service is. Battery replacement for the battery they replaced before and what a lousy job fixing the battery. This was a no brainer, but I guess that's life. This dealership embodies everything wrong with the "sleazy car salesman" stereotype--and it's exactly why this industry has such a terrible reputation. I purchased a 2019 Kia Sedona from them on April 10th--48 days ago--after finding the listing online. Here's the timeline of what happened: My co-signer and I completed the finance application from home, asking the salesman specifically for it to be sent only to Chase since we've worked with them before. I clearly informed the salesman that my co-signer (my dad) only had an ID, not a driver's license, and asked if that would be acceptable to Chase. The salesman assured me it would be fine and confirmed multiple times via text and phone calls that the application would only be sent to Chase. Additionally, I received a separate message from a sales manager, Jeff (remember that name!) who confirmed it would only be sent to chase if that is what I wanted. That did not happen. They called back saying they had a better offer from Ally. When I asked for the Chase offer, the salesman said he didn't know and had to "check." It turned out they did not check with Chase first--instead, and they ran my credit with Ally and several other lenders without my permission. When confronted, the finance manager said it was because my co-signer didn't have a driver's license which Chase would not allow, contradicting the assurances I was given beforehand. At this point, I wanted to walk away, but the car was in excellent shape, priced fairly, and I didn't want to lose it. So I proceeded with the sale. But wait, there's more! About 20 minutes into my drive home, the tire pressure light started flashing. I pulled over, checked the tires--everything looked fine--but when I tried to reset the sensor by turning the car off and on, the car wouldn't start. The battery was dead--likely the original battery. It was so dead that I could not even lock the car. To make matters worse, the key fob's blade was aftermarket and didn't fit the car's door locks. I was stuck in a parking lot for three hours at night, unable to lock my car, waiting for AAA. The next day, I called Jeff. He apologized profusely, agreed to refund the battery cost, and promised a new key would be made. I was given his personal phone number and thought the situation would be resolved. For the next month, I was ignored. Countless calls and texts went unanswered, and every time I managed to speak with someone, I had to re-explain the entire ordeal--as if no one was trying to fix anything. My first payment was due 45 days after purchase. I tried to confirm my financing with Ally--but they had no record of my account. When I called the dealership, they confirmed everything was fine. Then I received a call from a manager telling me that due to a system change, my sale and paperwork were lost entirely. I had to re-sign the entire deal. Legally speaking, I may not have even owned the car during this period. After completing new paperwork, things supposedly "worked," but the refund still hasn't come because--according to them--there was "no record" of the sale. Meanwhile, I've spent over $1,190 just fixing issues the dealership should have addressed before selling me the car: $289 for a new battery $212 for two broken TPMS sensors $503 for four new tires (two less than a year old, worn due to poor alignment) $89 for an alignment that should have been done prior to sale $100 for a thorough inspection Even if I bought a warranty, none of this would have been covered. I still don't have my new key or a refund. I tried to be patient and polite throughout this nightmare. Instead, I feel completely misled and taken advantage of. I never write reviews like this or call people out by name, but I have no choice here. The actions of Jeff and this dealership are, frankly, sleazy and unethical. I should have read the reviews before I tried to purchase a vehicle today but didn't. This dealership has salespeople and managers that will tell you whatever you want to hear in order to get a deal done. I asked 4 times about a warranty and was told the same thing 4 times. She even "checked" with a manager and came back with the same info. When the finance person called to confirm guess what? Now I have to pay $6000 for a warranty that I was told was included in the price. When the manager got on the phone he said he told the salesperson what the finance guy was saying, she is new and must have just "misunderstood"........4 times. This was all after they had added tint and door edge guard "fees" that they have to add on to every car. They at least were able to remove that after getting angry. I never do reviews, but this one ticked me off enough to say something. I would say make sure you get everything in writing, but I wouldn't trust anyone there to give a rip even if you have it written down. read more

My review is for the Service Department. Without doubt, the best Dealership Service Department we have ever dealt with, and we've dealt with many! How nice for the Service Writer to come outside and greet us by name. The actual service area was clean and tidy. Free coffee, water, popcorn, and snacks, and a couple of food/drink machines if you wanted something more. Clean toilets, comfortable seats, and a non-annoying TV station playing. It was a pleasure to sit there using their free WiFi (no password needed), while they serviced our car. I really wish we had bought our Hyundai here, but they just couldn't match the lease price of another dealership. Congrats on running an excellent Service Department! read more

This has to be the worst dealership, and brand, in the valley, I bought a 22 Kia Telluride from them, it had multiple issues the day I took it home, they assured me they would fix them, took weeks to get in to get seen, then they told me all the issues are warranty related and I need to go to a Kia dealership, so I went to a different Ken garff Kia in Avondale, which also took weeks to get into, finally got in, and they told me my car is from Canada and they can't fix anything on it until they verify warranty eligibility from Kia in Canada, it has been weeks again, still no update from them, I've called and left messages, every single Ken Garf in the valley just blows you off once you buy a car from them, please save yourself the stress and do not waste your money at this god awful dealership, they do not give a shit about you at all and will hang you out to dry the second you buy from them, I would give zero stars if possible. Oh and not to mention, they never told me when I bought the car from them that they needed some documentation from me to finalize the loan, and since I gave them a trade in and they were supposed to pay of the remaining balance obviously I stopped making payments on that car since this dealership had possession of it at that point. And because of that, my credit took a huge hit because they never paid my other car off since they didn't finalize the loan, which they failed to inform me of, so that's another downside, honestly this place is just terrible, not even just the dealership but the entire Ken Garff line should be avoided like the plague read more

I was referred to this dealership after my vehicle was damaged by a dealership now owned by Ken Garff. I was told Victor the service manager would ensure my issues were handled appropriately. However, that was not correct. Victor does not answer his emails. Victor does not follow up with voicemails or answer his phone, ever. My service advisor Ryan is as bad as it gets. He ignores all of my requests for information regarding their general manager. My vehicle has been at this dealership for over a month. The reviews reflect directly on the workmanship of this company. Zero stars. I do not recommend. Stay away at all costs! This place is a joke I take my car into get a diagnostic because the car is throwing codes. I drop of the car at the dealership and get a call that the car apparently has 31 codes being thrown. The technician looks for what might be the problem couldn't figure it out. They then tell me the car fixed itself and is not throwing the codes. The dealership still charges me 200 bucks for the diagnostic that fixed itself. Hello all! Let me warn you to RUN! Probably one of the worst dealerships I've ever visited. They're family owned, but certainly do not treat their customers like family. I will explain why but first. Let me give you some background information. My husband and I have purchased five brand new cars in the last year and a half totaling $190,000. I refer dozens of people to dealerships each year because I am known for being an expert in hidden fees, dealerships games, and negotiating car deals. I will not be referring anyone here and next time I buy cars for my family, I cannot stress enough that it will certainly not be here. First of all, the car we came to look at was TRASHED! It was completely filthy and had to be jump started. There was 0 miles of gas in it and was on the verge of sputtering and dying. It was laughable. We should've ran right then and there, however, we still decided to give them a chance. Worst mistake ever. We were informed the banks were all closed because it was Sunday. Billy one of their finance managers promised to call us back on Monday or Tuesday with a decision for approval but decided to prioritize loans that were easily approved over my friend's. They called the bank one time and it was only thirty minutes before the bank closed. You expect to get somewhere calling them right before they close? You think we care that you sat on hold for 45 minutes? Nothing more annoying than wasted time and consistent excuses. It's HILARIOUS when dealerships act like they're doing you a favor when it's their job... They hardly made an effort to call the bank or approve the loan and instead of updating her, they put us on the back burner. They want quick, easy money, and certainly don't want to work hard for it. Apparently if you don't get approved with the first bank they try, they set you aside and prioritize other customers. They only care about easy quick sales from customers who don't pay attention to hidden fees, add ons, and other deceptive sales tactics. Most dealerships call the bank immediately and get approvals. I GUARANTEE you, we will be driving off another dealership's lot in a brand new car before you get around to calling the bank. How ridiculous. Everytime we called this slum of a dealership with the puniest and crappiest lot in the Surprise auto park it was "we will call you back and update you"... Only to hear nothing, and receive no updates. Not even 1 curtesy call. So guess what? We decided to drop by their location to check on things, instead of a cordial conversation, we are met with the most condescending sales person there name Kyle. Despite my knowledge of dealerships and car buying their salesman Kyle wants to play condescending games with us when I mention taking our business to Larry H. Miller in Peoria. After mentioning their rival Hyundai dealership who by the way has much better reviews, Kyle then stated " I don't mean to be an A-hole but you're welcome to go to Hyundai Peoria. Just warning you, it's going to be the same". Dealerships don't take several days to call the bank unless your credit is completely shot, you're a first time buyer, or you have 20k in negative equity. None of these are true in this case. Their intent was to drag us along, and make us wait longer while they shotgunned her credit on their own time. I think they believe us to be dumb, and desperate waiting around for them until they got her approved. Let me educate everyone reading this. All dealerships work with different lenders and have a different level of determination in selling a car and getting a loan approved. Common sense right? Apparently not to Kyle. Furthermore, most dealerships will call the bank right then and there to get the loan approved. They don't wait around and twittle their thumbs while ALSO prioritizing easier approvals. If they do, RUN from that dealership. They're wasting your time and keeping you from doing business elsewhere while they rake in the easy money and get to you later. Their finance manager Billy waited until the end of the day each day to call claiming he had "no luck" instead of calling in the morning and getting the deal done. Their excuse was "we have been really busy". Instead of making excuses any decent person would take responsibility and get the deal done. However, the people here aren't not responsible, accountable, nor diligent. Based on the other horrid reviews this dealership has received and our experience I can guarantee you one thing. This. Place. Is. Garbage! Don't go here unless you want to waste three days of your time or get totally ripped off. They were no BS, and got the job done. No excuses, no bad attitudes, and great customer service. Run like you're being chased down by an F350! UPDATE: We went to Kia Earnhardt Peoria & HAD THE BEST EXPERIENCE EVER!
