Was looking for a Ford Bronco and live down in LA county. Called Encinitas and they were the most helpful dealership I have dealt with. They did all the numbers with me over the phone so when I made the drive all I had to do was sign the papers. Allen the salesmen was very nice and respectful and worked with me straight over the phone. When I need a new car I'm definitely coming back to Encinitas Ford.

Allen helped us get into our beautiful new car and we couldn't be happier!! He really took into account what our family needed and took his time letting us test drive. It was a fun experience for sure! We were trading in our vehicle and he made sure we got a good trade in value and really worked with us on financials. Kristy was also amazing! We had our six year old son with us and he even had a great time being entertained by the crew. Thank you Encinitas Ford!

Our experience with Ford Encinitas isn't the main issue--it's the product they sell. If you're even remotely considering purchasing a Mach-E, don't do it! We've had ours since July, and once it hit 10,000 miles, it's been nothing but problems with charging. The FordPass app is the only way to set preferred charging times, and if the app isn't working or communicating with the car properly, you're out of luck. We've encountered high voltage errors, and the car won't charge because the app insists it's at 100% when, in reality, it's at 54%. I've called FordPass "support" multiple times, only to hear the same response from every service advisor: "Yes, we know it's an issue." Seriously? They acknowledge the problem but haven't resolved it. It's absolutely ridiculous! This was the biggest car purchase we've ever made, and it's been a nightmare. Had a really great experience at this dealership, purchasing a new Maverick! Worked with Ritch and Allan throughout the process. It was really easy to see how much they care about their customers and both were very knowledgeable about their products. Allan is crazy about Mavericks in the best way possible! Both Ritch and Allan's enthusiasm made the whole process very fun, typically not something most would associate with car shopping!

By the end, it genuinely felt like they had no interest in selling us the car. My husband and I asked quite a few questions about pricing and available discounts. In our experience, and based on what we've experienced with other dealerships as well as what our parents and others we know have experienced, it is completely normal to ask about discounts or incentives such as first responder, military, Costco, AAA, etc. We were surprised to learn that Herman Cook Volkswagen does not offer these types of discounts on used vehicles and that they are only available on brand-new cars. We have been to many dealerships and have never encountered one that offered no discounts whatsoever on used vehicles, so naturally we had questions. That itself wasn't the issue. At one point, our salesperson told us that he could "appreciate us trying to get creative." That comment really rubbed us the wrong way. We weren't trying to be creative or asking for anything outlandish. We were simply asking about options that, in our personal experience, our parents, friends, and other dealerships have routinely been willing to discuss and work into a deal. The way our questions were handled was the biggest issue. After our salesperson went back to the manager with a second question, the manager walked back into the building being visibly frustrated after being "interrupted from his smoke break", looked over at us, shook his head, and rolled his eyes while saying, "Absolutely not." He eventually came over and explained that the used vehicles are already priced "competitively," which I can understand. He also mentioned that "customer satisfaction means a lot to the dealership and you can see based on our reviews, we have the best" If that is the dealership's policy, that's completely fine. What was disappointing was the unnecessary rudeness and visible frustration from both the manager and sales team simply because we were asking questions, doing our due diligence, and advocating for ourselves as customers. At that point, it genuinely felt like they had no interest in selling us the vehicle. We were not demanding that they lower the price or expecting special treatment, we were simply trying to understand the pricing and see what options were available to us before making a major purchase. Ultimately, we did purchase the vehicle. I know we should have left and went elsewhere but the deciding factor was that we couldn't find another vehicle within approximately 200 miles with the same make and model and such low mileage. So despite the experience, the vehicle itself was the right choice for us. Unfortunately, the experience didn't improve when we returned to handle the finances and go through the features. My mom makes alot of small talk. Our salesperson was rather rude to my mom when she asked questions, snapping at her instead of taking the time to explain things respectfully. I want to be clear that we were not expecting special treatment or demanding that the dealership lower the price. We simply expected to be treated respectfully while asking reasonable questions about a significant purchase. The vehicle itself was a good value, but the customer service left a lot to be desired. Hopefully management takes this feedback seriously, because customers should never be made to feel like they are inconveniencing the sales team simply by asking questions or trying to negotiate a purchase especially since we ended up purchasing the car.

More than anything, Danny is a very genuine and honest person, who makes the entire experience very productive and enjoyable. I recently ran into Danny again at a festival where he was working a Tesla booth. It was a very pleasant surprise see him and the Tesla Encinitas Team again.
