One word. Tanner (service advisor). He legit has changed my mind about Lexus. I've had horrible service over the years from Escondido and San Diego. I was going to get rid of my (paid off) car and get into a non Lexus lease because I was getting frustrated and annoyed with service advisors. The Carlsbad location is a further drive and the center seems older. But I can tell you it was WORTH IT because of Tanner. He was upfront, honest, and knowledgeable when I first spoke to him. I needed brake pads and possible new rotors. I just trusted him when he said to first pay for the brake diagnostic (I think it was like $59.95?) and they'll know exactly the issue to see exactly what needs to be done. The fee will go directly towards any service and it wasn't a loss as I knew for sure my brake pads were worn badly. The loaner department was also quick and efficient (I think the guy's name was David?). He got me their newer 2025 RX to the loaner and I totally understand why they give Lexus loaners as I emailed tanner to say hey wait don't do the service as I may just trade in the car (kinda half joking here). But I know which car I'll be getting in the next two years now. The brake service was PERFECT. I didn't need new rotors (yes!!) but was super close to it (as i expected). I also decided to get a full interior/exterior detail for the car (haven't had it since owning it so it was much needed). I am back today for the alignment (got the wheels at Costco few min away as their 4 tire special beat Lexus). Hopefully alignment went well but I wouldn't expect anything less at this point with Tanner and his team here. Thank you Carlsbad Lex! read more

The Lexus dealership estimated the repair cost at $9,388.62. Lexus declined to provide assistance with the repair. I am posting this to document the issue for other owners. I came to this dealership as a Costco Auto Program member and a returning customer ready to purchase a 2026 UX 300h Premium. I asked three separate times for the Costco member pricing sheet, and each time the salesperson refused to provide it. Instead of answering my direct question, he quoted me a price thousands above market value and tried to redirect me to used cars I never asked about. As a woman who has purchased multiple cars on my own, I know exactly what I want and how much I should pay. The refusal to give a straight answer--and the pivot to used inventory I didn't request--made it clear my business was not being taken seriously. The Costco Auto Program exists to eliminate this exact runaround. This dealership appears to use it as a lead generation tool with no intention of honoring the actual program terms. Are you sure you at Costco does not look favorably on this type of behavior. When I asked about the cost difference between AWD and FWD, I was told it wasn't significant and that he hadn't checked to see if any were available. For a vehicle where the difference is over $1,500, that's either laziness or a lie. It reinforced that my business--and my questions--were not being taken seriously. I walked away and will take my business to a dealership that respects both my time, the program and its customers. I will never buy a car from the dealership again. Leadership you should be ashamed of this type of behavior. Further, you should know how difficult it is to acquire customers. Let me ask you something, was it worth it? Now you have not only bad publicity, but you have also forever lost a customer. I will tell literally everyone I know what you did. And Costco, they will also hear about your sales persons awful behavior towards a woman. Costco appreciates and values their customers. read more

I'm one of those people that usually only leave reviews for bad experiences but this one was so good, I thought I'd share a happy one for once. I traded my Lexus IS 300 in for a Lexus ES 350 and Ali was absolutely terrific! He didn't try to upsell me, lowball me, he was honest, genuinely friendly, and just a pleasure overall. We had a slight disagreement with my trade-in value but we reached a nice compromise right in the middle and I left one happy man. The price was the sale price, plus tax, registration fees, and their automatically installed security system--NOTHING extra, no "mandatory add-ons" dealerships use to rob you. I'm SO happy and my car is beyond my dream car. Not to mention, this place gave me a better interest rate than my CREDIT UNION. My CU gave me 5.34% and the dealership approved me at 4.86%--can't beat it. When I bought my IS 300, the sale price was $30.3k and even with $10k down, I ended up financing $29.8k. Two months ago, I leased an 2026 RZ-350e from Lexus Carlsbad. Alex did a wonderful job and he was very professional and knowledgeable. Lexus Financial told me if I leased this vehicle, they would waive the last 6 lease payments on the 2023 RZ-450e. Everything went smoothly at Lexus Carlsbad. However, a month later, Lexus Financial sent me a bill for the remaining 6 payments. I called the Customer Service and they said it was an error on their part and they would fix it. They told me to call back in a couple of weeks and check on the status. I called 2 weeks later and was told the account went over to a collection agency. About that same time I got a cryptic text from TSI, a debt collector that they would be contacting me. Lexus Financial told me I needed to talk the TSI. I called TSI and filed a dispute with them. I then had to call each week with TSI and Lexus Financial to see it the problem was fixed. After a month of getting the run around, I called Alex and Anthony Tang at Lexus Carlsbad. They jumped on the problem and got a hold of the right people in Lexus Financial to get the problem fixed. I am writing this review to show my appreciation for the excellent and professional service they gave me. Anthony T called each time progress was made on fixing the problem. A big thumbs down on Lexus Financial who sent the account over to a debt collector before the due date on the letter they sent me. The agents were fine but they have no power and are just stuck in front of a huge bureaucracy that shows now concern of a customer who has done business with them for over 2 decades. My lease is ending in two months so I stopped by with an appointment to ask about my lease end options. I was interested in buying out my lease and Esan Mirafzal came to "help". He immediately just gave me the paperwork to buy out my lease and just told me to fill it out and sign. I said I wasn't 100% sure about whether or not I was going to buy out my lease or not. This is when he turned into a different person. He started to talk bad about Tesla and insisted that I should get the Lexus RZ instead, which is almost double the price of my current car. I said I wasn't interested and just wanted to know the interest rate if I decided to buy out the car. He said okay and came back to ask what my credit score is. I told him and he said my fico score actually wasn't accurate and that he will run it himself... umm ok why didn't you do that before? Then he asked how much money I would put down. I said I'm not sure yet can I get a couple different options just so I can think on it? He said that he couldn't print too much paper for me. What does that mean?? I pay over $400 a month on a Lexus and he can't use like $0.10 of paper + ink on me? That's actually ridiculous. He was also telling me that he couldn't give me a ballpark estimate on the value on my car. He acted like my car was unsalvageable and worth nothing. Just because of that I went to Tesla same day and asked them what they would offer me if they bought out my lease. They helped me instantly and I ordered a car same day! This is the second time that they have rescheduled my oil change in less than an hour from when I was supposed to be there, stating they were out of loaner cars. I'm actually sitting in their parking lot because I got here early and have to get to an appointment right after that I can't reschedule. I took my car in for service at Lexus Carlsbad a few months back and was very happy with my experience. My service advisor was Chris Dressler. He was polite, friendly, and to-the-point (in a good way)! He quickly got me ready to go with paperwork and then sent me on my way to pick up a loaner. I was given a (very) new NX350h in my favorite Lexus exterior/interior color combo...I may or may not have been a bit sad when I had to return it. Alas, after just over 24 hours, return it I did. However, the reason I returned it so promptly (an efficient and prompt turnaround time) was positive. The amount charged for my service was surprising low...I genuinely thought an error was made at first, but it was just the result of the dealership doing what was needed without any stealth add-ons. I'd also like to call out the complimentary car detail. I have no idea what products/techniques they used but wow, my car looked amazing. It didn't even look that shiny and new when I purchased it lol. Overall, I have absolutely nothing negative to say about Lexus Carlsbad. I had the most wonderful experience with Lexus Carlsbad. I love the Lexus 300h. I've leased them for years. It's "my" car. My latest lease was expiring and I went online and selected the exact car I wanted, outside color, interior color and amenities. Unhappy but liable, All i ask is for $ 700 to have a dent guy come to my house and do the repairs and nothing but excuses and saying " that's why we always want the buyers to see the car-truck in person.
