Yesterday we went on the 3 hour tour. Tommy was super personable and had a lot of great information along our day. With the amazing scenery and good company, it made our excursion that much better. We saw over 20 bald eagles, 3 baby black bears, and got up close and personal with a 4-4.5ft King! Thank you all at Drifters and especially Tommy! You rock! Rae, RE and Rob -California

We stayed here during the Covid-19 pandemic. We felt safe with all measures to protect our health. The staff was absolutely wonderful! The beds and pillows were comfortable and the cabins were well supplied with everything we needed! There were so many extra touches to make the cabins special. Breakfast was included and was individually wrapped fu this sensitive time. Fresh homemade blueberry muffins were delicious. I can't recommend this wonderful place enough! Thank you for making our visit to Coopers Landing unforgettable. I suggest visiting now before more people find out about this special piece of heaven.

The best! Been to many places out in Cooper Lansing and this place by far has the best customer service. The cabins are clean and their property is one of the most scenic properties out here overlooking the river. Andy, John and Tommy are all great guides! And Marsha has the best energy!

Unbelievable in every way, from the time we were picked up at the Anchorage airport to the time they dropped us off at the Airport Marriott the Drifter's Lodge Staff went the extra mile to make our stay OUTSTANDING! We stayed in the Russian House which was FANTASTIC - Three bedrooms, one upstairs and two downstairs and an outdoor fire pit that will provide many great memories for years to come. Highly, highly, highly recommend their All-Inclusive packages - they leave no detail undone! We have already booked the 4 day fishing/5 nights' package for 2019! The guides for both our Salmon and Halibut fishing were the BEST! They both went the extra mile to make sure our fishing was both successful and memorable. These people truly believe in customer service, our fire pit magically was cleaned every day and had fresh firewood at all times! We were a party of 4 and we could not have had a better experience. Bob hires the best employees many of whom are combat veterans who did everything they could to make our experience OUTSTANDING! We will be back again!

Wonderful experience at our recent stay at Drifter's Lodge Kenai River ... the staff was friendly, helpful , clean accommodations , great continental breakfast , sauna and fire pit . Our guide Austin who took us out on 9 Hour drift boat on the Skilak Lake and Kenai River was amazing . It was my first time fishing for sockeye salmon , my son has fished many times . Austin was determined I would catch a salmon, which I did . Randy and I each caught 2 , weighing about 8-10 lbs... Austin was the best guide, knowledgeable about all aspects of fishing and the area of the lake and river, the rules and regulations of Alaska fishing. He also did not have a motor and rowed the boat , about 20 miles..he was the only boat out there without a motor. Austin gets a 5 Star rating as a guide! Darlene Sell Randy Hahn

A friend who lives in Alaska highly recommended this river raft tour. We were not disappointed! It was a very enjoyable, scenic, and mostly gentle trip on the Kenai River. Our guide, Tommy, was a very capable navigator and a wealth of information about the various landmarks as well as about the fish, flora and fauna we encountered along the 2 hour tour. We took the 2pm tour, and the weather was perfect. They provided rain boots which came in handy since you have to step along the river's edge. Even though we didn't need them, they did also have rain jackets & waterproof bags available. This was the first time my husband, 14 yr old daughter, and I have gone rafting, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We would definitely do this again!

There is not one bad view on the property.

Cannot say enough about the stuff here. Incredibly friendly but not in your business. Always ready to help. The cabins are more than comfortable and rustic only in decor. Plenty of creature comforts, including but not limited to great beds, spacious bathrooms, and gas grills. Porch on front and back for people and wildlife watching. We have every intention of coming back again this summer, if we can get on the books. :)

Last year Drifter's Lodge was able to get us a last minute drift for sockeye so we called them to book fall fishing for a couple days this year. Bob and Andy were great setting up the trip the way we wanted. James Still is a superb, engaging guide who got us into the best trout I've seen on the Kenai; in spite of weather and flood conditions. The cabins are cozy and well kept and all the staff are great. Already looking forward to another visit.

Bob runs an excellent Lodge! My wife and I spent two nights and two days fishing at Kenai Drifter's Lodge on June 14 and 15th this year (2018). The cabins were very nice, well equipped and comfortable. We fished one day at the Refuge with an excellent guide, Jason. The second day we fished the Russian River with another excellent guide, Nick. We caught Red Sockeye Salmon on both days while enjoying beautiful scenery and lot's of wildlife (bears, eagles etc). In addition, on day one, we had time to catch some Hugh Rainbow Trout before heading back to the Lodge. This was my wife's first trip and she definitely wants to go back! I would strongly recommend Bob's Kenai Drifter's Lodge to anyone who loves the outdoors and wants to take the best trip of their lives. Mike Gannon

Beautiful Kenai river

This was our first rafting experience for our family (3 kids ages 7-10). It was a blast, at first I was nervous but the staff was amazing and explained all of what to expect. We had the best guide JACOB!! You could see he enjoys his job and made the 3 hour tour fun for all of us. Jacob was sincere relaxed which would help anyone with hydrophobia... most importantly he knows what he is doing. We all felt safe and we could not have had a better time. The entire staff was great. I highly recommend this place!

This was the hardest part of our trip; I was huffing afterwards from the freezing cold water and swimming as fast as I could to complete the task. Two people turned around after this and they weren't charged, which I think is nice. This was followed by the 3 canyons. The first canyon was the mildest, class III-IV, the second was moderately hard and more narrow, still class III-IV, and the third was mostly class V in rapid succession. The price was $129 for the first two and $200 total for all 3. About half of our group signed up for just 2 canyons, but by the end of those we decided to all do the third as well and settle the bill later. You can also duck out if you are overwhelmed by the first 2 and you aren't charged extra. Ara, our guide, did an amazing job safely navigating a bunch of rookies through these treacherous waters and not one person was lost from the boat at any point. We even went backwards down the "harder side" of the rapids sometimes and still came out unscathed. I was very impressed with the safety measures taken to ensure the passengers came out ok, as there were two cat boats near us ready to pick up passengers, ropes, and tour guides that constantly tell us what to do to stay safe. Not one boat overturned the afternoon we went (which was very high water as it rained all night) and not one person was separated from the boat. After we were done we were welcomed with hot tubs, warm showers, and hot chocolate/tea. You could also purchase photos afterwards. They also have a kitty named Allen who lives at the lodge who is very sweet and friendly. Huge shout out again to Ara for making this trip great!

Just enough to keep us satisfied as the train went up to Grandview to see a few more glaciers and some waterfalls that you can't get to by road. All in all, Ryan and Caroline provided us with a safe and fun day that was unforgettable. Definitely the highlight of our time in Alaska.
