Delicious burgers, and shrimp and cool place to eat. The service was friendly and fast.

Stopped by Kenji Burger for happy hour and was impressed. Great happy hour deals, ice-cold beer, and a solid burger menu with lots of variety to choose from. Whether you're looking for a classic burger or something a little different, there's a good selection and everything was flavorful and well prepared. I got my burger cut in half so I could share with my wife. The furikake fries are solid: crispy, well seasoned, and a perfect side to go with a burger and a beer. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Friendly atmosphere and a great spot to grab a casual meal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Would definitely come back.

We went after a round of golf and were starved. Everything tasted great but the portions are small. You order at the counter, take your number stand to your table and they bring out the food. You pick up your own drinks at the bar. We had the Tokyo wings, a chicken katsu salad and chicken katsu sandwich. All were tasty, the chicken cutlet on the salad was a tad dry as it was an extremely thin piece. The dressing was like a sesame ranch. The lettuce seemed to be Boston or Bibb type of lettuce which was nice but otherwise it was a tad boring with ac few avocado slices and only five or six grape tomatoes halves and nothing else to it. The chicken sandwich was much more tasty with a spicy slaw on it and a slightly thicker chicken cutlet. The wings were the best thing but at $3 a pop it seemed too expensive. The sauce on the wings was a garlick[[HIGHLIGHT]]y soy. They have about six or seven tables of four outside and some seats at t[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]he bar.

I was wanting a burger and this place didn't disappoint! The burger was cooked perfectly and had lots of unique flavors. I also ordered the kenji fries and would recommend getting just the regular fries - the added toppings were unnecessary IMO. Service was good and prices reasonable for the area. I would come back.

Loved loved LOVED my truffle burger and fries! Didn't get the sauces for the fries cuz I figured it was enough calories as is with a draft beer, but so yummy! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibe is chill but I bet it can ramp up quickly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]TV's outside and in but not intrusive.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If I had more time I'd check out the sushi burritos, bowls and salads. Bartender was super sweet especially with the kitty that lives in the tree next to the restaurant. She comes for her dinner nightly. Full bar, nice happy hour drink specials. A great stop in Kilauea!

A good lunch spot! We came during happy hour and got food and drinks. My husband enjoyed his burger and beer and I ordered the miso fish salad. It was black cod over Japanese vegetables. The sauce was very sweet which I didn't expect but the fish was cooked nicely and the Japanese veggies were absolutely delicious.

    Poke, spicy and regular

Food was pretty solid. Poke was fine but definitely not the best we had. We loved the truffle fries. Burgers were good too. We went to the store in Kapa'a and Kilauea, both were cute and had good service. Was an amazing meal to have after hiking out to Hanakapiai.

For Kauai this is good food. Compared to mainland USA this is about an average hamburger as it can get. Service was a little absent minded - they totally forgot that we paid and ordered a beer. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The environment of the business was okay - when we went there was a dog barking the whole time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

While waiting for my coffee in Kilauea, I spotted Jenji Burger and remembered hearing good things about it. Decided to give it a try and walked over to the walk-up counter to place my order. They also had seated service available, but I planned to take mine to-go. The lady at the counter was kind and friendly as she took my order. I went with the Truffle Burger and furikake fries. The sign out front noted that they use 100% Kauai grass-fed beef, which was great to see. I took the food back to my room, and it must travel well because it was delicious. The burger hit the spot, but the real standout for me was the furikake fries--packed with flavor and seriously addictive. I'll definitely be returning to try more of their menu.

Pretty good food especially the chicken katsu bowl and the chicken katsu sandwich. Comes with a nice Cole slaw. The highlight is the Furikake fries. So good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat outside and had enough room.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You order at the counter and they bring the food to you.

Food was superb! Service was fast, server was polite and the ambiance nice. Will come back when we go to Kauai again.

My wife and I decided to have dinner here, as we were in the mood for some decent food in a casual atmosphere, and the menu looked appealing without being overpriced. We were rewarded with entrees that we absolutely loved. I ordered the chicken katsu sandwich, and it was probably the best breaded chicken sandwich I have ever eaten. It was literally that good. My wife ordered the misoyaki fish bowl, and she was over the moon. I can't say enough about the food here, and you get a decent portion for the price. The fries are good, too. The staff was friendly enough, and the atmosphere is primarily outdoor seating unless you want to sit at the bar. You order at a counter, and the food is brought out to you. They sell some pretty cool Kenji Burger T-shirts if you're in the mood. My only criticism? The aggressive feral chickens, which seem to be less fearful of people in Kilauea than in any other place I've been to on the island. (In fact, an adult chicken charged at my wife across the highway at the miniature golf course and scratched her leg a couple of days prior.) I kept shooing them away, but Kenji Burger might do well to put water spray bottles on each table, like an establishment across the parking lot does. Seems to be very effective at keeping them at bay. We loved our experience at this restaurant and almost can't wait to return to Kauai to have another meal here or at their location in Kapa'a. Definitely give them a try!

Would've liked a little more on my plate for $18+. The vibe is nice, clean, friendly staff. We got a strawberry matcha milk, 2 Mac nut lattes, 2 breakfast burritos with Portuguese sausage, and a cinnamon roll. The good: the coffee was great, both iced and hot it was consistently good. The cinnamon roll was a cross between a roll and a muffin and that combo is pure genius . The icing was generous and not overly sweet, we loved it. Strawberry matcha milk was delicious, smooth, and creamy. The meh: the burritos were just okay , the man hero cheese added an odd tart flavor that didn't seem to fit and the Portuguese sausage was ground and lacked flavor. I would have preferred sliced sausage . Not terrible just not worth getting again. Overall, I would recommend this place.

There's a small lot in the back, and we were able to find a stall. There's some seating inside, but there were no open seats. There were also tables outside which were available. There was a line to order food, but there were kiosks outside with no line. My friend and I shared the Kalua pork burrito and half size churro French toast. This was more than enough food for us. The Kalua pork burrito was massive. I think I would have liked it more if I could have added more ketchup to it, but they were nearly out of ketchup at the condiment station. The churro french toast lived up to the hype. The bread was light with the perfect amount of crunch on the outside. There was also a good amount of cinnamon sugar, but the best part was definitely the whipped cream. It was definitely on the sweet side, so I definitely recommend ordering something savory with it. I am so glad I got to try this place and will be a must visit on my future trips to Kauai.

We ordered a half order, and it was so massive that four people could easily share it. I'm so glad we didn't order the full! The real chef's kiss, though, was the homemade pineapple hot sauce. It was unbelievably flavorful with the perfect balance of sweet and heat. I'm actually disappointed I didn't try the verde and extra hot versions too! To top it all off, the service was incredibly fast, especially considering how busy they were. Great food, generous portions, and excellent service--this place is an easy 10/10 and definitely worth a visit.

Overall, it was our top ranked shave ice place in Kauai (tied for first) for our trip. Here was our ranking. Kauai Shave Ice Rankings 2026 1. (Tied) North Shore Bowls in Kilauea - very enjoyable and creative pre-designed flavor combos, nice fluffy ice, good ice cream, flavorful syrups 1. (Tied) Wailua Shave Ice - very enjoyable and creative pre-designed flavor combos, delicious toppings, very good ice texture and ice cream; too light on the syrup for one of our two trips 3. Wishing Well in Hanalei - good fluffy ice and really flavorful natural syrups; downside is it's very crowded (always!) and pretty basic 4. JoJo's in Hanalei - this is a standard shave ice place; ice was a bit compact and icy, but the syrup was plentiful (maybe too much, if you can believe that, for our one visit) and the ice cream was both generous and good 5. Hee Fat in Kapaa - great flavors but the syrup was light coverage, and the ice cream seemed gummy/freezer burned, ice was decent texture; used to be our favorite in Kauai in years past, but it hasn't kept up with other places and maybe the quality has gone down hill 6. Honu Shave Ice in Kapaa - syrup was very light, almost nonexistent on one of our shave ices, ice was clumpy/chunky, ice cream was really minimal, flavors were decent

I drive by it almost daily but because I thought it was just a giant fruit bowl never stopped. I didn't understand! Yesterday, my friend Lee who I trust with my life tells me, "I had the best veggie and bacon sandwich there. You gotta go!" Since my other friend was visiting from Tahiti he was telling her about the bowls. She says, "Now I'm craving açaí bowl!" Ok perfect, we go! We order two pulled pork sandwiches and one large Nene Goose with coconut flakes and honey drizzle. I was just going to have my sandwich but she's say, "I got two spoons, just try!" OMG, it was not at all what I thought it would be. It was insanely tasty. I ended up eating half of hers. The pulled pork was incredible too. Very filling and delicious. My sister's in town and I ask her if she's ever had one to which she said "no". So we pile in the car and again it was out of this world. My brother in law got the K-Town- stupid good too. They leave on Monday and We're already planning on going tomorrow morning for breakfast. Definitely won't get sick of them. Now, about the girls who work there- absolute honeys.
