I give them the benefit of the doubt. They were 3 1/2 stars but their service was a solid FIVE STARS. Dana was the sweetest and most attentive server! The make a great pancake and gyro omelette. Their Cuban was good, great combination of gyro meat and egg. The ambience was chill, although there was one person at the bar who was having quite the emphatic conversation for all of us to hear (if only I spoke Russian?). Huge entree servings! The flavors were on-point, service was excellent, clean place and friendly crew. The price is not bad at all because of the servings. This place does not value customers at all! I ordered food for delivery and was told it would take 45 minutes. The delivery driver arrived one hour and 45 minutes later. Unfortunately I accepted the food with hesitation because I was hungry and found the food to be cold dry and inedible. When I called them to inform of the situation and request a refund I was told to give them back the food for a partial refund. I explained I threw away the unacceptable meal and was told to dig out of the trash so I can return it to them or take a picture. In all my years I've never experienced such terrible customer service when someone fell completely short of an expectation. If you're considering a meal from them you'll be wasting time money and patience. read more

Half a dozen visits last year and nearly that many so far this year, and not anything less than a fine experience yet. Every dish we've tried has been somewhere between really good and excellent. The Greek dishes are great, the Italian are equally good, the Caesar salads outstanding. Every daily special has been a treat. The pizza requires a bit of explanation. Though they advertise "New York Style" pizza, I asked for a very thin, very crisp crust. It was PERFECT!! But to be honest, if you make a specific request, you get it. Every waiter or waitress has been exceptional, but recently we have gotten Yana a lot, and it's always like "old home week." Prices are unusual for KW. Many choices between $10 and $15. read more

3.5 Who knew that Key West had an industrial area? It was when stumbling around the other side of the key after a long day that my group came upon KC. It was rather stark but I was tired and hungry and wasn't pay (too) much attention to the surroundings. Another thing I found odd, though: this Mediterranean cafe was run by... Russians?* Seriously. I wasn't drinking. My head wasn't cloudy. Unless the gentleman with whom we were interacting was messing with us, we were being waited on (with food prepared) by Russians. No value judgement. It's just... odd. I spent a summer in the former Soviet Union. I used to be able to speak Russian. I (sort of) know from Russian. Mediterranean food isn't their jam (one would think). The service was brusque and the menu's all over the place: salads, sandwiches, pasta, gyros... nothing made sense. Like mentioned, I was tired so i settled for the chicken gyro sandwich and chose the (roasted) potato salad for my side. The sandwich was serviceable if not somewhat undersized and overpriced. The star of my plate was/were the roasted potatoes... to the surprise of no one. If in the area and if hungry... you could do worse... but I'd get the food to go. Eating here was a gray chore. The menu makes mention of Uzbek cuisine. Yet, the man we dealt with clearly said he was Russian. read more

Thank you Yanni for the great service and warm friendly hospitality while we were on vacation in Key West. I highly recommend anyone visiting to drop by for a meal and if the time is right enjoy the very smooth #7 lager beer Baltika brewed in Russia. We asked about Blue Moon and Corona beer and Yanni said "I have something even better." It was better. We stopped next door at the market and bought two more bottles to enjoy the next night while in Fort Lauderdale. Now we are looking for someone who sells it here in our hometown. Don't let the simi-rundown shopping center detour you from going in. Kennedy Cafe has so much to choose from! And the service was so fantastic!! Yana was our server and made us feel just so welcomed! This was a good find!! We wanted something different and saw they served Gyros and Kabob (and also brick Oven pizza.... which is what we were initially looking for). We ordered a Greek salad that is HUGE y'all. We ordered the Combo Platter (three types of kabob chicken, beef, lamb) and a Hawaiian style 12" pizza. The salad was delish! It has tons on feta cheese on it. Ask for extra dressing. The combo platter was well seasoned - it came with rice and roasted potatoes. The rice was a bit bland to me. The pizza was yummy- brick oven pizza and they weren't stingy with the cheese. It wasn't over sauced with pizza sauce either (I don't like it when it is). Dive in for divey. Hard to say exactly what type of restaurant this. Seems greekish but there is a lot more variety than that. We stopped in 4 for lunch. Huge portions coming out that kitchen. 4 soups, all good, all interesting. 1 Greek salad more than big enough for two. 1 soup had chicken dumplings the other a spinach. All seasoned with fresh dill. Sweet tea and Arnold Palmer's for drinks then off next door to check out and load up in their deli. There is some outside seating but much more inside. Friendly homely nice place. I order from this place all the time (Harriet ave regular). The staff actually care here. The recipes are cooked with actual fresh ingredients. For example, the buffalo chicken fingers are just hunks of chicken breast cooked in homemade buffalo sauce. So yummy!
