They are corporately owned by Unio Health and the office treats you like a number, not a person. You can never get a person on the phone, rather it's leave a voice mail or use their web portal (that isn't the same name as the office--- Unio, a Genesis Health facility). If you leave a voice mail they promise to get back to you within 48 hours which is NOT acceptable. The phone tree is a time suck. They must be understaffed. Furthermore, they sign you up with a corporate "Health program" where an RN in Tennessee calls you to discuss and update your health. She's a generalist, not someone familiar with your chart. Then they charge your insurance (Medicare) for a "visit" when a doctor in this practice reviews some general information that the RN has sent to them. This reeks of unnecessary charges. Patient beware!!

I met him in Northridge hospital ER exactly a year ago when he took care of my elderly mother, admitted with a recurrent upper GI hemorrhage. She had been scoped before, and no source of bleeding had been identified. We had almost lost hope in obtaining a valid diagnosis let alone stopping the bleeding. Providers had given up on my suffering mother and were treating her like a hypochondriac... Then came that young yet fearless Dr. Naim. He acted like the person in charge. He is not someone who will accept missing a diagnosis, and this is a trait so rare nowadays. He studied my mother's extensive imaging history. He also called me and explained elaborately his assessment and plan to me. He is a natural teacher. He scoped my mother and found a 3-mm gastric ulcer that he clipped, and we never saw a trace of that again. So thankful for Dr. Naim's care of my mother who soon later passed away for an unrelated reason. Physicians need to remember that how they treat a patient may be the last act of mercy or battery in the patient's life, and one of the last memories the patient's survivors are left with. Finally he put me on the liquid form and the gerd stopped completely. Why he didn't try it sooner is beyond me. He is the supposed expert and if one thing doesn't work try something else. Because of him I got a hiatal hernia. I was also wrong for continuing with him. He wasn't even on my insurance plan. One time I called and I think his wife was the billing person and questioned a charge for about $100. She said I didn't have to pay it. I wonder how many other billing errors were made. We found out ourselves as we got a new pcp and new insurance cards out of nowhere. Of course due to Dr. Arasheben's office not notifying us of this change, we ran out of medication refills and had to wait for an appointment with a new PCP. Additionally, while we were still with this doctor's office, they would require visits every 3 months just for medication refills which seemed like a money grab. Overall, I unfortunately don't recommend Thrive CMG.
