He has now fixed one of my husband's cataracts and the other eye will be fixed in a few days. First, it is apparent that Dr. Burns is quite knowledgeable and has his patient's best interest at heart. The office staff are all very friendly and very efficient, which they have to be for the way patients are rotated through, it is really quite amazing. At any given time there are 8-9 patients in the back, some in a second waiting room where one waits after being seen by assistants and before seeing the doctor. Time with the physician is brief, with most of your visit being with an assistant. I must say that Dr. Burns and his staff were very kind and accommodating when on the eve and morning of my husband's surgery I had some frightening (and potentially dangerous) eye issues. Dr. Burns told me to call his office immediately after my husband's surgery and tell them to get me in the next day. I was not even a patient of his at that time! Despite the very long time a visit takes (was an hour and a half yesterday for hubby's second follow up appointment), I would still recommend him. I have made an appointment for a vision and eye exam for myself; should my opinion change after that, I will update my review.

If I could put no stars I would. The communication between Bennet and Bloom and their patients is…read moredeplorable. I went for a follow up appointment early in august because I have dry eyes, which Dr Gibson (at the Crestwood location) had treated previously in preparation for me to have cataracts removed, but it was found that I needed surgery on both of my pupils in order for my cataract removal and lens placement to be successful. The doctor who was supposed to be doing the surgery mentioned he had an opening on August 26. After talking with my doctor (Dr Gibson), we all agreed that the pupil surgery starting on my left eye would happen on Aug. 26. I never heard from surgery scheduling and when I called the day before to find out what time my appointment was, I found that I didn't have an appointment at all. The surgery scheduler (Amy Moye) called me later that same day and left a voice mail, but the number she left me was incorrect, so I had to go through the crestwood location to get to the scheduler each time I called her. I left two voicemails and hour apart, she didn't return any of them. Today (which is august 26), I called her in the morning and I hear a voice mail that she is out of the office until Monday. I feel like a hamster on a treadmill going around and around. The entire effort to get scheduled for this pupil surgery has been very frustrating; plus I've wasted my work sick time, because I thought I was going to have this surgery on the 26th. It's too bad that Bennet and Bloom don't read, or respond to their reviews, because if they did and they were really concerned about providing 5 star customer care, they'd address the complaints I've read and that is a shame. Now, rather than singing the praises of a really good experience, I'm telling anyone who asks how awful this practice is. I know I am only one person and I'll begin my efforts to talk to Amy on Monday again if I don't find a better doctor in the meantime.

Dr. Rowland is exceptional. Her office space is designed beautifully. It's a very calm atmosphere. So far his procedure has been great. We follow up in a week. Thank you Dr. Rowland for taking such good care of my boy. I really can't say enough about this experience. Everything from scheduling to the visits and patient care has been amazing.
