Have been going here for many years for my dry cleaning. Turnaround is pretty fast and the cleaning service is usually quite satisfactory. The low, 1-star rating is for poor customer service. Brought in a pile of wool coats for dry cleaning last week and I immediately handed them their ValuePak coupon for $5 off a $20+ dry cleaning order. Clerk said she had already pushed the total key on her cash register and she could not incorporate the coupon. No attempt to make things right. Seems almost like an intentional ploy to not honor their own coupons! I'm going to try some of the other dry cleaners in the area, in the hopes of finding friendlier customer service. read more

Been going here for a year with dry cleaning only. This is a review on the wash and fold service which I used because I wanted to save time. I know how to do my own laundry but when you're working so much, it's nice to have someone you trust do your laundry. Kenny the Kleener FAILED! My first bag was fine. I bought in for my second wash and fold and the following occurred. It was supposed to be ready Monday night. The driver forgot it at the plant. They called and let me know it'll be ready the next morning. The next morning, the driver once again didn't see it. They'll drive it over. It took them 20 minutes to get there as I waited in my car. I think I might have gotten there faster. (30 minutes spent thus far) I go home. My dress has stains on it and my underwear that was white is now pink. I bring it back. Spent another 10 minutes talking to the guy and manager. It'll be ready on Sunday before Labor Day. (40 minutes spent) I then went on Sunday. It wasn't there. It's at another location. Please go pick it up. (60 minutes spent) Dress is better and underwear back to previous color. I wanted to talk to the manager but he is out. I was told to call the morning after. I spent an hour and spent $11 for them to do my laundry. I could have done it for $4 and 2 hours of my time. I'd rather not spent the time and effort making a call to let you know that you have bad service. Instead I'll write reviews and let everyone else know how terrible your services are. The people here are very service oriented and Tariq the tailor is accommodating and does a great job.

Love the service. Open on Sunday. You can get same day everyday which is a lifesaver!

Terrible listeners and customer service. The man there just wants to get customers in and out. Took two pairs of pants this past Sunday; one for dry cleaning only and the other for both dry cleaning and shortening. I pulled the pants to the side and held them saying these need to be shortened. He asked me the amount and asked about a half inch...did not do any measurements or anything. Got my receipt and I felt the total was high but did not question/look at the receipt. When I called on Monday at 12:30ish I realized that in error he put both pants to get shortened. When I called the guy spoke with the tailor and said the tailor already shortened it and basically put all the blame on me. The customer service is atrocious and I have been going to this location and Central St for years. First and foremost their should be the detail of having the customer pants on to know where to make the alterations at instead of the by mouth. Hopefully me only asking for a half inch off will salvage the pants I did not need tailored as I had already tailored those as part of the suit. Between this location and Central St, I have given multiple chances for the lack of attention, detail and customer service. Outside of the convenience and hours being open past 7pm, Kenny the Kleener's does not have much to offer. read more

Disappointing! 1. Prices keep going up! 2. Mediocre dry cleaning. They struggle getting out basic stains. 3. I can no longer go to this business because the customer service is HORRIBLE. I made no mention of the Valpak coupon I had which offered me $2.99 for most dry cleaning items. After the clerk rung up $159 worth of dry cleaning, I gave her my coupon to which she responded, "You shoulda gave me the coupon first thing." I then stated that the coupon did not indicate this like many groupons do. She then refused to give ring up the items again with the discounted price! She said, "You coulda just given it to me cuz I gotta push a different button first." I asked her how would I know this, the coupon does not indicate that this is the procedure. She was surly and indifferent. I then said that I would just take my items to another company, as her refusal to honor the discount was not just - to which she replied, "That's fine." I then said, "You just lost a customer" - to which she replied, "Fine." SERIOUSLY? Kenny continues to jack up their prices - which I might not care so much about if they at least cleaned my clothes well - but, with mediocre cleaning, I like to save $.50 per item when I can. Kenny's must be a cash cow if they can afford to turn away customers that come in regularly with many items. Never again. Sparkle Cleaners on Central is a tad more expensive, but with great customer service, and they do a better job. I get it that the clerk is a 20-something employee with clearly zero investment in the company she works for - and may not like her job - but, there are too many other dry cleaners who offer better service. read more

I have been a customer for 10 years and have always been mostly happy with the service I received, until today. I asked to pay at pick up, not a usual habit but one I have taken advantage of before. The staff was rude, condescending and unprofessional in denying my request. I explained that there was no reason for their behavior and that I have always been kind and respectful with them. this place is horrible, they lost a vest my grandfather gave me for high school graduation, and then tried to say it was my fault. They refused to reimburse me for the vest, and i will NEVER be returning to this dry cleaners. The manager was nice enough to tell me to "f*** off" over the phone when i inquired about my vest. read more

One star maybe too many. Tried using a coupon that stated $5 off any order over $20! Seemed easy enough but was told it was only good for dry cleaning above that amount and was shown a coupon that said $5 off for $20 in dry cleaning. My coupon said any order. i have had cleaning in the past where easy stains were not removed and a shirt was ripped and I was blamed. customer service is obviosly not their middle name! read more

I have a terrible experience with this place. I brought in two curtain panels to be hemmed, paid $60 to have them dry cleaned and tailored, and they came back different lengths. I would like my money back but I can't even talk to the manager. Everyone there is very nice but it's very frustrating dealing with them and too much hassle and headache. (Now I have to buy new drapes so I'm out not just $60 but even more!) read more

Run, don't walk! DO NOT trust these people with your clothes. This is the WORST customer service experience I have had in many years. I took my clothes to the location on Central in Evanston, including an almost-new sweater. The sweater was expensive and was in very good condition I returned to pick up my clothes and noticed that my sweater contained a hole and had been frayed in a number of spots. Kenny the Kleener took an almost new garment and turned it into a rag. I pointed out the hole to the counter person. She took down my information and told me I would hear from Ken in a few days. Ken called about a week later. He refused to admit that his company had made a mistake. He was unhelpful and rude over the phone, claiming that the sweater must have been in bad condition when it was dropped off with his company. He offered $20 in free dry cleaning, nothing more. I told him that his offer was worthless to me, as I would, of course, never trust his company to clean any of my clothes again. Ken then hung up on me. I actually called back, trying to give Ken a chance to make this right. He said he didn't want to talk to me further and hung up on me again. The level of customer service this company provided is beyond appalling, particularly given the attitude of the company's owner. read more

The 5 stars is really all due to Tarik (spl?), the tailor at Kenny (Green Bay location). He is a savior and brought my pants back to life. Here's a little background for some context... I am short so I always have to get my pants hemmed and since this location has opened, I have always brought them to Kenny to get tailored. Typically, I leave a sample of pants in the past to measure the inseam and use the length to hem the pants. This has worked for me a few times so I have gotten to the habit of doing this..until this last trip, I left two pairs of jeans and a sample (side note: it took me forever to find skinny jeans that fit me well so I was glad I finally found two!) .. When I picked it up, to my dismay, they were both too short. They were almost to my ankle. So the next day, I came by when the tailor was in... and told him my dilemma. He showed that the inseam on the pants was exactly the same as my sample and he even gave a few centimeters leeway. This made me realize that he did his job precisely and this was entirely my fault for not coming in when he was in and not trying them on.. I then tried them on and showed him how they looked on me (sample, vs, the hemmed pants), he agreed that although the inseam was the same the hemmed pants were just too short and we both had a laugh realizing that the fit of the jeans were just really different. He then proceeded to look for the piece that he cut off so he can sew the original hem back on and thank god he found them! He agreed to lengthen the pants and didn't charge me for it. The lengthened pants are now the perfect length and I am now a happy camper. That said, I highly recommend this place for tailoring - they are super professional and willing to fix things even if it is the customer's fault! Overall, this place also does a decent job of dry cleaning.. reasonable price and very timely. read more

I had been going to Kenny for a few years. Good service, convenient location and hours. Recently a zipper on a pair of pants was broken in their dry cleaning process. I returned to the store with the pants, pointed out the broken zipper and asked them to fix it. The person at the counter at first doubted my story, even though their tag was still attached to the pants. I was then told I had to come back another time and negotiate with the tailor when he was at the store. His hours are 11-3, not convenient for someone working full time. I finally did return on a Saturday at 2:40 and the tailor had already left. Long story short, they are not worth my time to chase them down, so they have now lost my business. Would rather pay another tailor to fix my pants than deal with their rudeness and inability to admit they screwed up. read more

I brought in a silk black dress that had a deodorant mark on it, after I picked it up I noticed the spot was larger and the color from the garment had been lifted. They didn't point out the damage but packed it up like normal. Do not take any item of clothes that you value here. read more

Horrible customer service!! I recently dropped a 5 by 7 area rug for professional cleaning and paid $55 for the service. They get it cleaned through a third party. When I went to pick up the rug the stains were still there..the guy who helped me check out instantly rejected my feedback and refused to take responsibility for the stains on the rug. The least I would expect is acknowledgement if not a refund. I brought the rug home and was shocked to see that the stains were made worse due to some bad chemical used. I am extremely disappointed with Kenny the Kleener and lack of etiquette around handling a genuine customer concern. I have purchased folex from Amazon to clean the rug!! read more

We have been going to this dry cleaner for about 2 years. It's basic, no frills, but the prices used to be low--emphasis on used to be. I feel like this is the classic bait and switch, where a company comes into town with low prices, lured you in and then starts raising them. Awhile ago they increased prices, then required that you bring in cleaning to get their much touted 5 shirts for $5.99 deal--and now they raised the prices on that shirt deal to 5 for $6.99. Sorry, but the quality is just not there to justify the $1.40 per shirt. I don't mind prices going up now and then, but I hate to feel like they are playing us for fools. read more

I decided to try Kenny because the prices at my former cleaners had gone up. I was disappointed by the service. I took in four items and when I got home, I discovered one item was missing. I still had the receipt and went back later in the day and was told I should have brought the whole order back in order to pick up the missing article. Reason was unclear to me. They called the supplier and were told my slacks were there. I had to make a return trip later to get them. There was no apology and I was told next time to bring the whole order back.
