I took my daughter's quinceañera dress to be press only before her photo session and they did a horrible job, they gave it back to me way worse than how it was. They told me that because the dress it's too long theres nothing that they can do since they dont have bags for that kind of dresses. They could've save the bag that I gave them. They did offer to do it again without charge , but then again because of the lack of appropriate bag they dont offer me a different result. It was heart braking seeing my daughter's dress in that condition, I have been saving and working really hard to make her a beautiful party and this people just ruined things. I had to reschedule her photoshoot do to condition of the dress. Very, very mad, sad and disappointed. read more

Generally they do good work on the basics and the counter people are friendly however, for some odd reason, I cannot get my sports jackets pressed well. I end up having to leave them for a corrected pressing at least once if not twice. I am not too picky. They press them very poorly. They are always pressed like a shawl collar on a tux which cannot be worn. It takes me 2 trips to get it right. Lots of apologies but no permanent resolution. I am planning to take my business elsewhere because of this reoccurring issue. read more

THERE ARE SO MANY DRY CLEANERS AROUND AND THERE IS NO REASON TO GO TO THIS ONE!!!! I would have rated the DCF Glenview zero stars if Yelp would've let me. I just received my dry cleaning back and DCF Glenview lost a matching belt for a formal dress. I called them to ask if they could please look for the belt. First, they told me that I never brought the belt. I explained to them that I was positive I brought the belt in with the dress. The manager told me that she was a busy lady and did not have time to look for my belt. Explain that I the dress is NOT WEARABLE again without the belt, and could she please look. She said that she would look and call me back in 10 minutes. 20 minutes later, there was NO CALL BACK. I called the DCF Glenview asking for the manager to get an update. THEY HUNG UP ON ME. I called back again asking for the manager, I explained that I must have been accidentally hung up on. THEY HUNG UP ON ME AGAIN. I called the third time asking to speak with the owner. The man said that they did not have any way to reach the owner. I asked to speak with the manager again and she was extremely rude to me telling me that I was bothering her. I asked her to please look for the belt and that I would stay on hold. They found the belt. I came in to pick up the belt and the belt was thrown at me. read more

It's now 3 yrs. later, and this has become my go to spot for dry cleaning. I have not had any pins attached to my clothes in strange places anymore. The prices have come up a bit, but my experience is the cleaning is better than before. I have experienced much less fading, even with articles that are dry cleaned frequently. I can honestly say they have improved over the years and I'm very happy with the service. Some additional highlights: They upgraded to green dry cleaning. They recycle hangers (which they did back then, but I forget to mention) They have a rewards program with their Express Drop Off service Monthly specials on coats, rugs, comforters, and sweaters! I brought my winter down jacket and it did not have any stains but just brought it for yearly cleaning. When i got it back it did not look clean and smelled musty and felt more dirty. THE ONLY POSITIVE and I would give the seamstress/alterations 5 STARS. She is very precise and does a great and neat job. I have brought my pants to get altered and I bring them here still even though I moved 15 miles away just because I trust her with my clothing. read more

I had a similar issue with 2 white high-end men's dress shirts (one a Calvin Klein, the other Polo by Ralph Lauren, each cost north of $60 dollars). I went to this dry cleaners after I sold my condo and was staying with my girlfriend while she and I were house-hunting. Both shirts came back with black smudges on the left collar tip. And one had additional black smudges along the front button cover flap. I brought the shirts back and at first they contested that that was how the shirts came in. I protested, knowing full well that they did not have black stains when I dropped them off. I work for a bank, I'm confident the computer I sit in front of is not staining my collars in the same place. If that were the case, all my shirts would have similar stains, not just the 2 I brought to this place. Then they said that it was the previous cleaner's fault (they pointed out my previous dry cleaners bar code on the inside of the shirt.) I explained that my shirts never came back from my cleaners with any stains on them. I wouldn't have worn them if they did (the stains were very prominent). I pointed out that the stains were in the exact same place on the edges of the left collar point on both shirts, clearly an issue with the pressing equipment. I was told there was no way to prove that DCF was at fault. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told that he was not in and that he would be notified of the issue. When I asked to contact the owner, I was told he was not reachable. I'm guessing the owner has had the place for a while and is phoning in the management of the business from wherever he has retired to. I left my contact information, I received no call from the manager. I took my shirts back to my old cleaner, they suggested that it looked like maybe oil from the hinge on the garment presser had gotten on the collar while being pressed. They said this can happen if you don't take care when rotating the garments while pressing them. Bottom line, the stains were permanent, the shirts ruined. There are too many high-quality reasonably priced dry cleaning services that understand they work in a commodified business. When you are a commodity, you set yourself above the competition by elevating your customer service, thus developing positive relationships with your clientele. DCF doesn't understand this. I wouldn't waste your time going here, if only for the fact that the staff acts as if they perform a highly specialized service, are above reproach and are irreplaceable. Guess what, you work the counter in a dry cleaners. Your business is not rocket science, you are in fact easily replaceable both as an employee and as a service. I'll wash and press my shirts myself before going to DCF again. read more

Very rude service, laughing in your face, when you try to point out the stains that you prepaid for, but did not come out at all. We are supposed to prepay, not knowing the result, and in most cases, they can't remove those stains (80% of the time for us). It wouldn't be so bad, if they were nice about it, at least. However, we received very poor customer service and attitude from them. Will never be returning and will not recommend it to anyone. read more

I took my faux fur blanket from restoration hardware here for a dry cleaning. It was in perfect condition upon arrival. I had it dry cleaned once in the past and it turned out fine. However When I went to pick my blanket up at the dry cleaning factory two weeks ago it was ruined. The fur was singed - the appearance and feel of it destroyed. It was pretty obvious it had just been thrown in the dryer. They said they would try to "brush" it out. A week later after me calling them multiple times to find out the status they told me to come In and judge for myself. Mind you they never once called me to update me or apologize. The blanket was still in the same terrible shape. So again they said they would try to fix it and the same thing happened the next week. Me calling them to find out and them never returning my phone calls. So after another week I go in for the second time to see if they "brushed" out the damage. The blanket still in the same terrible Shape. The manager Jerry didn't care about it at all he simply said "I'm the manager not the owner I can't do anything for you." He could care less. So I left upset and left the blanket with them. A 200 dollar blanket ruined from the hands of this incompetent and inconsiderate business. If it happened to me it could happen to you. read more

DO NOT BRING YOUR DRY CLEANING HERE. The Dry Cleaning Factory has lost it's ability to clean since their move to the new location. My shirts come back with dirty collars and I was told to Pre-treat them before I dropped them off. The Dry Cleaning Factory ruined my suit and said the fabric faded. I took in my comforter it came back 3 times with chemical rings. This visit has cost me $400. I called for a manager no managers on duty. I was their customer for almost 2years. I HIGHLY DON't recommend The Dry Cleaning Factory. They also own Greener One Price Cleaners in Morton Grove-don't go there. THE OWNER DID NOT EVEN HAVE THE AUDACITY TO CALL ME TO TELL ME THEY WILL NOT BE ACCEPTING RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE DAMAGES. All your dry cleaning and tailoring needs fulfilled under one roof. The tailor was recommended to me from another glenview local. The tailor Ms Jung Park was why I originally came to this place and her prices were reasonable. She is very knowledgeable and skilled in her trade. The charges for a dress that I needed tailored last minute were well below what was quoted to me by other area tailors. She has listed hours of service different from the cleaners, but she was available for consult even though she was technically not suppose to be there. As for the dry cleaners the facility is efficient except for one snafu. (I needed dry cleaning done the next day but it got mixed up with my tailoring order which was to be finished in 3 days, anyway, I was still able to pick up my full order the next day, just later on in the day). The only thing about the place is the parking. There are only a few spots in the immediate front of the building and getting out can be kind of tricky if cars are coming in from the busy Waukegan street. I have been coming to Dry Cleaning Factory for I believe over 5 years. Over the last year I have found the clothes cleaned not clean. An isolated incident is expected but the last few times I have had to return the clothes and have them redone. I have been told that there is no guarantee on spots but we are not talking about major stains just plain carelessness. I am told the help goes through each piece which is not the case. If so the clothes would be clean. I put tape on the spots and they still don't get clean. It appears their sending off premise has diminished their quality. Although the other location was difficult to park in at least the clothes were clean. What's the use of a 5 dollar discount per 100 when you need to take your time to go back and get things redone. People have written about how nice the staff is. However I find them to be hot and cold. Furthermore I think it's very rude and unprofessional to speak to each other in Spanish with long conversations. This is America. Overall I have lost all confidence and at times the clothes look like they did when I brought them in. I have a lot of napkins and tablecloths to be done and no way am I using this place. It was embarrassing to find my tablecloth put on for Thanksgiving dirty. If a spot cannot be cleaned at least have the decency to put one of those "sorry I can't clean you" tags. Luckily I had the foresight the last few times to check my items before I left the cleaners and sent then back. I know I am only one person but I have made sure to share my experiences with a lot of people and apparently I am not alone. read more

I just recently had the worst experience had would NEVER go back. When I walked in the owner was very arrogant about when I asked the check in clerk about the few spots on some items. He said of course they would come out. He then proceeded to put down my former dry cleaners where after 25 years I have not had one problem. The only reason I tried them was it was close. I was told I had to pre pay which made me nervous as I was concerned about the spots. I also had one alternation which was not done and completely over looked. When I picked up the pre paid items one of the shirts was ruined as it still had a huge spot/streak doing down the front (throw it out), the other items almost looked as if they hadn't been cleaned, filthy pants on the bottom, still the stains were there etc. When I complained to the clerk (who was very nice) a "manager" started talking over the two of us. I asked her to please let me finish my conversation as we were in the middle of going over the stains etc. I then left my phone number for the owner to call me. He did. His voice mail was rude, he was insulting, and hostile. He told me he didn't want my clothes (that I had already paid for) and didn't not even offer to fix them. I have never been to any retail establishment where there was no code of conduct. I asked a customer if she had issues with getting stains out and she said no. My former cleaners (voted the number 1 in the City) and I have never had a problem in over 2 decades. The owner of DCF told me to take it somewhere else to get cleaned. I have to agree with MANY of the reviewers here in that this is not a place to take your dry cleaning! There are plenty of other dry cleaners in the area that will take better care of you as a customer. I think the true test of a good service organization is how they treat a customer when something goes wrong. In speaking from my own experience, the manager (lady) will try to nickel and dime you for every last penny. If your shirt is worth $50 and they damaged it in the cleaning process, she'll bargain to give you $5 store credit. That to me is rude and unprofessional. Pros: 1. Express drop-off. 2. Fast turnaround. 3. Customer service. The staff is friendly, courteous and helpful. On Christmas Eve I called late in the day to find out when they closed. I had ten minutes to get there before they closed and they were waiting with my clothes at the door for me! They no longer put safety pins in your clothes, and instead install a small label with a bar code. They will replace common buttons if lost. Con: Parking lot can be a real drag to navigate, but it's worth it! read more

I've been taking my dry cleaning here for the past year and haven't had any problems with any of my laundered items. The turn-around is fairly quick and the pricing is much more affordable than other dry cleaners. They generally have a special every month on a specific type of item that you can sleep for a reduced rate. I've even brought my designer labels here and haven't had any problems! Do not trust this business. They took a brand new leather skirt and ruined it! Instead of sending it out to the business that cleans their leather items, they put it through their dry cleaning process. My skirt was ruined. They tried to tell me it was "okay". The fabric and the color were compromised. I asked to be compensated $125 (the value of the skirt). The owner, Howard, said he would give me a $100 credit. Then when I went in a few days later and asked for the credit they said they would only give it to me if I gave them my damaged skirt. $100 does not cover the cost of a new skirt. Why would I have to give them my skirt? I have been going there for years (twice per week) but after being treated so unfairly. I have been a regular for almost three years, happy with the cleaning and the prices----- but--- they sure can be rude and abrupt. I am truthfully looking to go elsewhere because there is a female employee who won't even look up and say hello. She often just yells "phone" at the customers just to get your number for the order. I wished her a Merry Christmas and she didn't reply. So tonight I rush and got there at exactly 6 when they close and the door was locked. She didn't even look up from the register. Sorry, I have never treated anyone like that, and I have worked retail for years, and in my professional career I take care of people , no matter how "inconvenient". I have been using DCF in Glenview for my dry cleaning needs exclusively for 5 years. They're good, they're inexpensive, they're fast, and I wouldn't recommend any improvements. The tailor, Ran, is my favorite, always helpful, always does exactly what she says she will, all the time. This place has changed- I used to love this place but the service and the product are very poor now. Just picked up clothes and every collar on my shirts is off- they don't sit straight and my husbands shirts actually have added wrinkles! First time using this place, WILL BE LAST. Picked up the clothes, I had an order of 3 suits, 3 slacks 3 French cuff dress shirts, when I got home I noticed one of the suits from my order was missing, makes me mad because I wanted that suit in particular for Saturday night. I called there and after 3 minutes of "are you sure sir", "you picked up the order", are you sure you left it with us". Fighting off Fbombs I calmly ask, sir could you please check, maybe there is a slim possibility you forgot to give the suit to me, as I stated 3 minutes ago. Why is it that many retail counter people are programed to not accept responsibility, it's pathetic. Finally Mr. wonderful checks and come back to say, "yep, got it right here, ummm,were about to close now so you better hurry". I work in Glenview, I live in Gurnee, so no s*&% for brains, I won't be able to get there before you close. No offer of a discount, seeing as my experience was crap. No I'm sorry, nothing!!! Just a "I dunno know what to tell ya" Bullshit attitude. Just picked up my clothes and was so pleased that the cleaners were able to take out a nasty stain on one of my favorite dresses. I've been coming to this cleaners for a very long time (over 12 years). We continue to love the friendly service and quality of the cleaning. Lots of parking spots. The free hot coffee waiting for me when I drop off my clothes helps me get my day started. The express service drop off service is a real plus when I need to be on the road before I open. I especially appreciate that it's open 7 days a week - makes my life easier. read more

Howard was extremely accommodating in taking care of an immediate dry cleaning need, and was very courteous. I had a stain on my special black suit, and needed to wear it immediately. He understood my needs, and went above and beyond to fulfill my urgent need. You don't see that kind of service very often anymore, and I couldn't have been more grateful. read more
