They also installed some of the bricks upside down and the color is washed out on those bricks and they stand out like a sore thumb. Back in November, Daniel said he would come back after Thanksgiving and fix the problem. I didn't hear from him and reached out to him several times with no response. I finally connected with him in late January and he was dismissive and said everything was installed to code. He said he would come by and take a look but there would be an additional charge for the work. I questioned if it was additional work, or if it was fixing a depression that they created in the walkway. He has since ghosted me. Looks like this business has some very good reviews. Maybe they are good with traditional landscaping, but I cannot recommend them for pavers.

I called him to make several repairs for my parents at their home in Escondido, and he was available that evening with a team of 4. 2. He was able to replace a toilet, replace 3 sets of bathroom sinks with stoppers, replace the door seal for 2 doors, replace and fit an external door, replace shower door rollers, putty the wall and re-fit a toilet paper holder...all this was done within 4-5 hours at a moments notice. 3. The price was extremely reasonable, my parents were EXTRAORDINARILY Pleased. They are a very hard sell mind you! 4. Keith knows what he is doing, he is pleasant and easy to work with. That said, the job would have gone quicker if they had worked more than just a few hours each day. My problem was with the company itself. I hired them because of the generally good posted reviews. Most of the reviews mentioned that Mr. Klein himself was involved with doing and/or supervising the work being done. Not so in my case. The initial response from Yelp after I requested a quote I assume was from Mr. Klein. I was told he was unable to come out for the quote but he was sending someone named Luis, who did come out and work up a quote. He and Abel were the ones that actually did the work, with a third person at my house for just a couple of hours one day. At first Luis told me that Mr. Klein would come around a couple of times to check on things during the one week that they were here. Toward the end of the job I specifically asked about Mr. Klein since I had neither seen nor communicated with him after my quote request. When I asked Luis if my job had been subcontracted to him, he said that it had, and that Mr. Klein would in fact not be coming to our house at all. The fact is that I used this company based upon reviews of the work done for others in which Mr. Klein was usually directly involved. This lack of transparency is not OK. If Mr. Klein was not going to be involved in at least occasional on site supervision of the work, I should have been told that this job would be subcontracted out before I agreed to hire this company. Even if Luis and Abel work for this company on a regular basis, I feel that I should have been told up front that Mr. Klein was not going to be involved. It's just a business transparency thing from my perspective.

Mike made himself present during the duration of the project and even after. He was thorough and made us involved in choosing the plants and gravel. I really appreciate the level of commitment he gave to our project. My husband and I are so happy with our yard! They installed drip irrigation to all our plants, was involved in digging large holes for our cactuses, and planting those prickly cactuses. We couldn't be more happy with our California Zen Garden. It's perfect and I couldn't ask for more. Please hire Mike and his team! They are a family owned business based in El Cajon and they are super awesome and very nice. Even though I sent detailed…read moreproject info and photos, other contractors wanted to have a call first and then also come out in person for an estimate (so basically two meetings for a simply estimate, which if you are getting multiple quotes can easily turn into 6-9 meetings and tons of wasted time). Mike was able to easily set up an estimate time, come here promptly, and gave us an estimate the next days. The final trees loom great, and we are very happy.
