Ok like let me first say I been coming here for FOREVER. Even as a child this was the place my family would order Chinese food from when they use to be on Rockville pike right by the bridge .. Anyways I went through a weird period with them as far as customer service ( because the food was ALWAYS good) I can say the within last 7 years they have made a turn around with the customer service. I order through Beyond Menu most times now and so it tracks your orders and it's very efficient. Now yall I am giving yall the top tier things to order and try . Over the years I discovered Any chicken wings combo ( fire ) they include mumbo sauce and duck sauce all the condiments are always included. Mind you they don't give you party size wings you get the WINGS. The beef rice noodles ( Mei foon, must say thin rice noodle) this always my fav omg like it's really just so good, you can the get vegetable or the seafood version but over the years the beef is my personal favorite. Ok. I didn't have any of the Chinese food. All I can speak to is the tuna sub combo (with fries and a can of soda) I got today. I ordered from a friendly woman behind the counter and sat down. A few minutes later, she brought over a take-out box and a fortune cookie (nice touch) and reminded me to take a soda from the fridge. Fortunately, there was a table available. There are only 4 4-seat tables in the place. A couple walked in and walked out when they saw all the tables were being used (a single person at each table. (I would have been happy to share,) The sandwich came with lettuce, tomato, onion and mayo. A bit too much mayo for me, but that's personal choice. I was impressed by the amount of tuna. I have been eating food from Kenny's for years and have been satisfied With their food. This evening I ordered the Vermicelli delight. There was was a heaping portion of vermicelli but very little toppings. One of the main toppings was supposed to be lobster. Sorry, none to be found. Has it gotten to the point that they have rip off their customers. $20 for a bowl of vermicelli is not acceptable. One less family as customers. Very dissatisfied. read more

I'm not sure if the chickens were hitting the gym, but these wings are gigantic definitely not the tiny ones I used to get in my high school cafeteria. If I could give this place 0 stars I would have. I got the steak and cheese egg roll the onions where dark grey that means the onions where rotten.. Thank God I opened up the egg rolls before I just ate it. That made me throw out the rest of my dinner I ordered. It made me wonder what else is rotten I wasn't trying to get food poisoning! I've ordered from Kenny's before and while it's never been the best Chinese food, it's usually been decent. Unfortunately, this last order was terrible. I ordered hot & sour soup, General Tso's chicken, wings with fries, and combination lo mein. Everything was extremely disappointing , the soup lacked flavor, the chicken was soggy despite requesting extra crispy, the wings were not good, and the lo mein was bland. The only thing that was even remotely decent were the fries. I placed an order via DoorDash for sesame chicken and mozzarella sticks on a Tuesday evening. I've been on a relentless pursuit of finding at least one restaurant in this bloody county that can fix some good sesame chicken. So far no luck since my favorite place in Chevy Chase permanently closed. Well, this place was no different. No more sushi and the steak&cheese is more cheesy than full of the flavor it once had. The General Tso dishes have all the flavor in the breading. Just placed my first delivery order. I've been trying other places around town for delivery and the food just sucks. So many Asian places but not one decent Chinese joint that offers delivery. That is until today. I found it strange how this place has everything under the sun on their menu. It was one of the reasons I decided to give them a try. How wrong can this actually go? Well it didn't go wrong at all. I was pleasantly surprised. I order General tso chicken and chicken lomein with fried rice. Huge portions and the food was tasty. I ordered for my Neighbor & thought I could enjoy the basic Spring Rolls & Veggie Dumplings...I thought wrong. Not only did the delivery order take 1.5 hours within a 3 mile radius, the food or lack thereof was terrible. The Spring Rolls were greasy, one had no filling, the Dumplings were burnt & dry. Bomb Chinese food! I'm so fortunate to live nearby and have this spot be my local Chinese carry out. My favorite thing to get is a lunch special during the week. The platter I got recently was a General Tso's chicken platter with fried rice. The amount of food was enormous, so much so that I could only eat half and was more than happy to save the rest for my boyfriend. I also ordered the Crab Rangoon. I feel like you can always judge a Chinese carry out spot by how good their Crab Rangoons are. I'm happy to report that the ones here are amazing. Honestly, this spot is great for your typical Americanized Chinese food. They're still running their daily lunch specials despite the pandemic and the food quality is still great! It's hot, fresh, and tasty. Their specials are Mon-Sat from 10:30-3PM. As a note, they still only accept cash which shouldn't be an issue but I don't think they take Discover.
