Unfortunately, the food was not very good. I ordered over $40 of food including Singapore Rice noodles, General Tso's special with pork fried rice and an egg roll and a combination lo mein. The Singapore rice noodles had little curry flavor as is evident by the light color. The General Tso's had an abundant, flavorless, unusually dark sauce. The chicken had too much breading and it was overcooked. It was tough to chew. Finally the combo lo mein did not have much flavor either and the noodles were overcooked -- almost mushy. I try to patronize small businesses, but I will not be returning here. Food is too expensive these days to take a chance on them having an off day. Also, the oddest thing was when I went to pick up my food they have a very small area (maybe 6 ft by 4 ft) where you order and pick up food through a window. This place is not anclran place. The staff workers are rude and so jot wear gloves or mesh hats to cover hair. They sweat in the food and sneeze anywhere but they arms and hands. The Environment is tight. Tight like small and ghetto as fuck. They smoke in the back with the door open and sanitation is not there strongest attribute. Please call the health department. They prep the food in and alley and they have no care for public safety. The food us under cooked and they dont put seasoning in the chicken items. If your car about your health you would stay away and or ONLY get fired rice and pray its fried properly and the rice is cooked to soft. They are over priced for the small amounts of food and you could find better portions and properly cooked food for less. It smells like blood, sweat and feel like racism. Ordered food for my company and did not receive. They said that they had it delivered through a third party and when we called to inquire where our lunch was, they said it was delivered. I am very disappointed and will never order from this establishment ever again!! I lost my money and my workers did not get any lunch. This is unforgiveable and unforgettable. One of my favorite Chinese spots. Conveniently located in the Aspen Manor shopping center on Georgia Avenue. My go to order is their fried chicken wings, mumbo sauce which taste almost like the sauce you get from dc carryouts, shrimp fried rice , and the spring rolls which are delicious. The food is always fresh , I've ordered both delivery and pick up and the wait time has been feasible either way. Had our first carryout this past Sunday and was pleasantly surprised with the quality and quantity of the meal. We ordered the seafood delight (S1) and found we could make 3 meals from this one meal. Only one suggestion I would make is to request more sauce and less salt with the meal. My request for low fat and no spicy ingredients was honored. For the past year, I have been stopping at QQ China for carry out at least once a week. The service is friendly and they are quick! I have to say that they make the best vegetable Lo Mein noodles, Shrimp General Tso's, Hunan Shrimp and Szechuan Shrimp. I tried the Sigapoure noodles once, I am not a curry fan, but I am sure other people will like it, Also wasn't a great fan of the Green Jade vegetables..had many green beans. Me and green beans parted ways years ago...is more of a phobia now..having a bean shoot to the back of your throat when I was like 7 years old, I still can't eat green beans. After years of passing it by, my family and I decided to give it a try. There are two tables in the entire place, which isn't too bad considering it's a carryout place. The lady behind the register overheard my parents speaking Chinese and started berating us in Chinese about what to order. It was actually quite intimidating despite her being four feet tall. Lunch specials are $5.25 and includes fried/steamed rice with your choice of eggroll or soup. Our food was hot and ready within five minutes. The portion sizes were gigantic - I have a teenage brother who will lick the trashcan clean if given the chance, and even then, with three lunch specials we still had enough for my brother and I to have for dinner. Taste-wise? Pretty good. Bourbon chicken was tender and seasoned well. My brother's pork lo mein was not soggy at all, although that may have been due to the swamp of oil left at the bottom of the bowl. The egg drop soup left something to be desired - it literally was the most yellow thing I have ever put in my body. It reminded me of easter egg dye. My father's hot and sour soup was similarly extremely brown colored. This place is your standard Chinese takeout place.
