I've been eating kenootz thin crust for years and normally I would have given them 4 or 5 stars. Their sauce is on the sweeter side (which I like) ingredients are always fresh (not canned like durbins) but their crust isn't to crispy unless you ask for it well done. But last night I decided to take advantage of their half off deep dish. And I must say without a doubt it was the WORST disgrace of a pizza I ever had. The dough was raw. Very thick and super chewy, just disgusting. The whole family was disappointed in the quality, you can tell it was rushed, and unfinished. They are definitely out of their league when it comes to good deep dish. I will probably still keep ordering the thin crust in the future, but I won't be touching any deep dish from this place with a 1 mile pole, which is about the distance to Cuzins down the road who makes an excellent deep dish! Went there to see my pal Keytar genius Jeff Abbott do a rare local live show. He was great. Part of the show was a little Pizza buffet, which was actually tasty, if a little cold. Can't comment on any of the other food, 'cos the pizza was all I had. Was it Home Run Inn? No, not at all. Was it edible enough to go back for seconds and thirds? Absolutely. Midlothian is a mighty cruise from the environs of Breakwind Manor, so we'll not be dropping by for a casual feed, but if Jeff does another show, we will skip dinner elsewhere, in favor of a Kenootz Pie. read more

First impressions are everything... And my first impression of this place with online ordering for pick up and delivery was so impressive to me... But did they deliver? Yes they brought my pizza but did it meet my expectations? No, not really. I was so excited to try this pizza place because the reviews are good, maybe they just had an off day because my pizza was not good. Not by my standards anyway. I was born and raised in Chicago so I KNOW what good pizza is. And this pizza was mediocre at best. My pizza was delivered to me and was not hot, and was rubbery. I can't stand a rubbery pizza, that to me makes it seem like it's not real food. I'm willing to give them a second chance, and maybe I'll try a calzone next time... The flavor of the pizza wasn't bad but the texture and saltiness of my thin pepperoni pizza was all wrong for me. Please fix. read more

Pizza is pretty good but the gluten free option for the crust needs a little work. The bottom was nice and crispy, but the middle was gooey. This is consistent so they might need to try a different brand or something. read more

I don't know what these other reviews are about. I had the pizza once and said ild never go back..it was worst pizza in midlothian/oak forest area. Overly greasy which indicates a low quality of cheese used. Sause wasn't very good and the crust was not crisp at all. Much better places in area read more

I always order the cheese raviolis from them with my pizza order but unfortunately I think they changed he way they make them. They were always big raviolis with a lot of cheese in them. They were amazing. The last few times, not so much. They were tiny with little to no cheese in them. I called to ask if these were their new raviolis but the girl didn't really know. I love Kenootz Pizza. However the customer service here always sucks! And it causes me to always leave Kennotz as a last resort option. I understand working holidays when other places don't probably suck but WOW RUDE!!! The owner is really good with supporting the schools nearby though. I have been going to kenootz for years. Besides they're awesome specials the food is just amazing. More recently I have been hosting my work meetings there. Every single person that works there has been so unbelievably accommodating. Every person at the meeting this past Monday was commenting on how awesome the food is. Place was ok. I've had better pizza. Cheese was not distributed evenly and the crust was able to be pealed off the bottom of a square. I actually really enjoy the pizza, but the owner Ken can be quite rude. I regularly order from here and am not trying to nitpick, but he is very regularly shouting making the atmosphere all around uncomfortable. I was also trying to leave with both hands full of pizza, pop and wings, he stood right by the door and made no offer to hold it open or even acknowledge me as a customer. The food is good. This review is regarding service, specifically when ordering through GrubHub. They consistently don't monitor orders so you stand at your door waiting for food that will never arrive. I have have one order where they forgot an item (never credited like they said) and two orders that they simply dropped. Can't trust this business so I'm done placing orders here. I recently read a review about Kenootz Pizza that I felt was unjustified. I have worked for Kenootz for 13 years and have seen the owner in action. What Trisha J described was a snapshot and unfair assumption. Since I have been here, I personal witnessed and experienced the owners care and concern for his employees. He bought shoes for an employee who's were torn, fed so many of us and our families. He's driven us home after work if we had no ride. Many times, he's even lent us his car. He has picked up our children from football practice or from school when we can't. He's gone to employees weddings, and graduations and birthday parties. When 2 of my coworkers died, he went to their funerals and mourned them. I know he gives scholarships to local high schools. One of his favorite things to do is speak at career days at schools. Every years since I've worked here, he is closed on Christmas, but come in himself to make a catering for a local senior citizen on Christmas day. On the day Trisha is talking about, yes, he was upset with an employee here. This employee made the same order wrong 3 times and we asked the owner to address it. When he says, lets work as a team, he really means it. The owner will work side by side with us to get the work done. There are so many more things I can tell you about the owner, but I feel that I needed to respond with these few things at least. read more

The food at Kenootz is fantastic. They catered my wedding and I got so many compliments on the food. There was plenty of it and it tasted great. It also was not expensive at all. If you are having an event in the area, I would check them out first. You won't be disappointed. Came in to pick up my pizza the other day and was disgusted! They were very busy and you could see all the workers trying their best and all the owner did was yell at them and treat them like shit! NO business should be ran like that! The cashiers were very nice but were very on edge listening to him scream in the background and one of the girls was even on the phone taking someone's order and he just kept screaming so loud! WTF?! He was freaking out about every little thing, swearing up a storm and all I could think was poor girls! No employee should be spoken to like that and if there is ever a problem, they should be pulled aside and spoken to like a human being, not humiliated in front of everyone!!!! Leave it to him to start being nice and telling everyone to "work together as a team" as soon as he saw all of us in the front waiting to be helped! Absolutely love their pizza great prices for nice size pizzas. They have an amazing staff. Pizza is great we order there 1-2 a week.
