I had this company come out about 3 years ago to landscape my backyard. I had rock, turf and plants installed. Everything was good except for two trees died in the backyard. The reason for the review is I had initially asked them to come look at the trees and they were going to charge me to come look at them even though I told them they were dying. The reason for the review now is I got around to having another landscape company install new trees in the spot of the two that died. They showed me the water lines we'd not installed for these two spots and that's why the plants died. Everything else this company did was good but I am not satisfied with them because they did not stand behind their work. I don't believe that if you come out to landscape and I message you 2 months later about dying trees you need to charge me to come look at your work. Kenys landscaping was a great recommendation, from the first conversation with George we felt at ease and confident the job would get done. George came over and listened to our plan and had some great suggestions to compliment our design. He ball parked the estimate right there and was pretty spot on , the numbers changed a little over the progression of our planning but we are very happy with the outcome. They planned on dropping off some equipment late in the day and decided to start hammering out some work right away, Jorge was the site foreman and he was awesome to work with as well. I would strongly reconsider going with this company. We had our sod installed a year ago and we are now replacing the entire yard again. This company was very communicative when the sod was first going in but right after installation and gave the final check communication stopped. Patches started dying immediately within 30 days and we would send pictures and text George immediately, he would not respond. When it was finally was escalated we were told he said we never reached out when we had constant texts sent from day 1. They offered to replace some dying patches but it was already cold weather. Months later the grass never grew high or got thick in the patches it was thick. Now as we are replacing the sod we tested the old soil they placed under the sod and it was mostly sand not soil made for the sod to thrive. This was not the soil mix we were promised so we were lied to. We thought this company was legit from their website and how long they have been in business but I would stay clear from any one time residential projects. If you do go with them, take a soil sample after they bring it and make sure it's good soil and not just sand. Also if you see patches that are thin, refuse it immediately. Especially since they quote you for up to 1/4 more sod than you actually need. I hope this is helpful for any future clients! I'm sure the company is going to try discrediting my complaint and I'm not interested in any resolution at this point. read more

Extremely happy with Keny's Landscaping and their help with the design and construction of my backyard. I had a new build, and contacted a handful of companies for quotes. A few either didn't get back to me, or just did not show up to our quote appointment. I found Keny's Landscaping on Yelp, and contacted George in which he immediately set up an appointment. I appreciated that he was super easy to communicate with, and was punctual for our appointment. They are extremely easy to work with and the results were exactly what I was envisioning when we started this process. I was able to make small changes to the design with no issues, and I appreciated how they worked with my HOA (other than submitting the design review myself). As for price, I thought that George gave me a very fair quote, and we actually got more included in our package compared to other companies we were looking at. I believe they were having a promotion in which they guaranteed my backyard would be done by the end of the month, which was surprising as I did not think I'd have enough time for that. I had a phone call with George and we scheduled a day and time for him to come to my residence to provide a landscaping quote. Prior to ending the call George asked me what type of budget I had to work with, and he gave a range of typical jobs he does between $2,000 to $200,000. I told him I had about 800 square feet of sod that I'd like to replace with xerascaping, so it would be closer to $2k than $200k. George thanked me and said he'd see me for the appointment tomorrow. The day and time of the appointment came and went and George was a no call, no show. I consider this contractor to be totally unreliable. But after all had been paid (a lot I might ad) I could never get a call back about issues with the sprinklers or sod dying. However, once you don't have a job thats worth thousands of dollars for them, they will not communicate much with you. We had Keny's Landscaping do our backyard and they did a wonderful job. George Sr. was prompt and responsive. However, I now feel that they have slacked off in their service. One of the trees they planted for us last year died and I paid them to replace it. The new tree has now fallen over and we can't get them out here to stake it. We've been trying for a week and while the son answers the phone, they don't return calls or say they're too busy to fix our tree. It's in the process of dying and I can't get a response from them. So, unfortunately, we have to be honest in giving them only one star. read more
