I did the SNWA program rebate, where they take out your grass and put in a low watering system. Now I went through the "approved" companies at first and called one company. He wanted to charge me $2000.00 more than this company. This was the second estimate. He was very good at following up. He likes to talk more on the phone, but he does text as well. I thought he was very honest, helpful, and gave great recommendations with his experience. I love the after pictures. He let me pick where I wanted the bushes/trees to go, and the type from the approved list. I am getting a rebate back that almost covers everything but $300.00. Then Ancelmo informed me that the City of Henderson has a rebate program too. Now that the work is done and I have the form certified, I submitted to them the notarized form and they will pay me an additional $725.00. After it's all said and done, I am making $425.00 total and then I don't have to pay my gardener $1400.00 a year. Plus my water will be going down. We used Green Valley landscaping to redo our front and backyard. We worked with Ed to pick out plants that could withstand the Nevada summers. About 9 months later, half the plants we picked out are crispy and dead. We had Ed come back to our house to assess the situation, and he blamed the watering system that was set up by the owner. The owner, in turn, blamed us not understanding SNWA watering schedules. We abide by the SNWA watering guidelines and still the plants are dead. Ed said they will not revive. We wasted thousands of dollars on shoddy work. Not to mention, we had another landscaping company come out to look at the install of our turf and borders, and they indicated the borders were not properly done as they were pushing up out of the ground. Also, they had to detach my backyard gate to install turf and pavers. They reattached the gate crooked and it has never opened or closed without needing to slam it since then. I contacted Ancelmo, the owner, about 3 months after our landscaping was finished to do a complimentary cleanup of our front and backyards. His crew did our front yard and failed to do our backyard. When I mentioned this to Ancelmo, he said he would send the crew back the next morning. He never did. I'm supremely disappointed on this company. read more

Came to the house for an estimate. There was a list of different things I needed done for landscaping. Showed up on time which was nice. We spent about 45 minutes going over everything. I suggested multiple times the sales guy write everything down as it was a long list of items. He assured me he would remember everything. That it wasn't a problem. He seemed like a nice guy. Couple days later I get his official itemized estimate. About half the stuff he had forgotten or left off the estimate. A good chunk of stuff he had gotten wrong, like wrong plants, or rock. The estimate was worthless. And the price was quite high for the stuff he remembered. So all in all just a silly waste of time. It's like they've never done this before. What's the point? read more

Had Ancelmo come out for a quote. While he did come out and returned with some samples of a turf that I wanted to use. He told me he would send the quote and did not. About a week later he called to arrange a time for him to come out with the quote. When he got here he just started throwing figures out by the foot for this and that without having anything written as an actual quote for the project. When I asked where the quote actually was he kept saying "I am saying what the cost is" . We had Green Valley design and install backyard landscaping. The reason we went with them was because Travis assessed our existing plot and took the time to explain what is reasonable to keep vs what should be removed in order to be most efficient with everyone's time and money. He offered great suggestions on how to make small changes to improve on existing things when we would've easily been ok with ripping it out altogether. He was open minded and excited to incorporate some of our ideas as well. The quotes for a similar plan from other companies were almost twice as much, so we found GV Landscaping's prices to be reasonable. You can tell they weren't trying to oversell you on anything. Execution of the backyard install was amazing. The demo and install of new walls, pavers, grass and plants only took 3 days! And everything turned out the way we hoped. It might've been due to the holiday season, but communication wasn't perfect. We sometimes get instant replies, but other times have to wait up to a week to resolve minor issues. Update: Ancelmo did a very good job with the irrigation, he definitely knows a lot about it. He installed about about 30 rosemary bushes. He had to come back a few times to fix a few lines, or replace some of the plants that didn't make the transfer.
