It was not what I expected. As you drive up there is a valet or golf cart attendant, Walking in to your right is the golf pro store, to your left is the personal facilities ( terrible water pressure, so does not flush well, therefore you will see other people's business done - gross), and ahead of you is the bar and restaurant over looking the green with outdoor seating. Walking in one expects a variety of tasty dishes, this is not that place. We noticed 1 hostess and 3-4 waiters and only us dining in. We figured as big as the property is, there would be a wait or several diners, one can say more relaxing atmosphere. There truly not much for appetizer choices. Simply not a desirable lunch menu, so we were going to eat elsewhere, the waiter said," We have a dinner menu." Imagine our surprise when the waiter handed us the dinner menu that had the same dishes from the lunch menu...lol. We ordered the buffalo shrimp - no no no does not taste like shrimp, not fresh shrimp, perhaps from your frozen section at the grocery store popcorn shrimp. Not at all worth the $15.00! It was saturated in the buffalo after it came out 5he microwave- not quality shrimp at all. The dinner dishes were okay, nothing to even discuss about it for $100.00 meal for 2. I do not recommend eating here. You will find better deals outside the resort. If the restaurant closed, it could not be missed. The area should be used for their management meetings since that's the only other people walking into this place and going behind a door. Save your money for a much more worthwhile establishment down the road. I give 2 stars, 1 for the waiter ( who tried giving us someone else's bill mixed with 2 of ours) and split the 1 other star between the wine and my pasta dish. I'll post my photos. read more

Don't bother with this elitist place... it must be like that right because it's a "speakeasy" restaurant, hidden and difficult to find. Made a reservation, used opentable and hit "directions" from there... that led to a hotel.... well ok... no obvious restaurant there... wait to talk to staff who gave terrible directions, got all the way to a gate and asked again "5 stop signs then make a left", sounds like I'm the first one to get lost. Found the place, now 30 minutes late, and it's barren.... like 2 cars in the lot - I can see the host but no way.... I gave up, found a new place. Don't waste your time. read more

The service at this mediocre restaurant is terrible. We ordered soup, a hamburger and a cheeseburger. The soup was never brought to our table. The hamburger was served, and we were told that the cheeseburger would be "just a few minutes." After half an hour the cheeseburger had still not made an appearance, the hamburger had been consumed, and still no soup. We asked for our check for the one meal that we had been served, paid and left. There was no offer of any sort of compensation. A peanut butter sandwich in our condo would have been a more satisfying experience. read more

Quite surprised ! Did not want to have dinner at a theme park tonight, so we opted to try the resort restaurant and we were pleasantly surprised. Upon first impression, Friday night at 8:30, restaurant seemed quite packed, but we did get a table right away. In addition, they had live music which initially seemed quite loud, but was pretty good. Ordered the homemade chips with applewood bacon and blue cheese crumbles - very tasty ! Enjoyed these very much. Dinner arrived, grilled steak and this was a disappointment, was returned to the kitchen twice, as I ordered it we'll done and it came back too red for me. Visited Kenzie's our first morning at resort. Walked into an empty Pro Shop and Temporarily closed Golf course so unsure how breakfast would be. Restaurant looked nice with view of course and staff all neatly dressed in black. After coffees (they came in a full insulated pot) we ordered an omelet with all items available covered with Swiss cheese and I had Belgian waffle with sausage ( they brought me out bacon as well). Both were delicious and my wife's even came with nicely broiled home fries with scallions. Breakfast was so good we went back for dinner and another breakfast. Same deal-very nice food and service and beautiful view. Will be back! read more

Kenzie's restaurant is located on the Mystic Dunes Resort and Golf course in Orlando Florida. The restaurant and course are shared between Diamond Resorts International and the Four Seasons resorts. While I did not get a chance to play a round, the course looked great and usually you'd expect the restaurant on a golf course like that to be a bit on the expensive side. This was far from the case with Kenzie's. The prices were very reasonable and the food was much better than average. While the menu is a little limited, I had a pretty darned good Philly cheesesteak (with onions, peppers and mushrooms) and fries. I opted for American cheese instead of Swiss since I'm not a fan of Swiss cheese. If you're from Philly and expecting Cheese Wiz (like Geno's or Pats) you'll be disappointed...but then again, you're wrong :-). Cheese Wiz does not belong on a cheesesteak. It was juicy and delicious. My wife had the Mahi fish sandwich which was done to perfection with a very generous portion of Mahi. This was accompanied by fries as well. To give you an idea of the prices, the cheesesteak was 9.99 and the Mahi sandwich 12.99. We had a certificate for the restaurant so we order a shrimp quesadilla to reheat later. This was awesome even reheated...never thought of putting shrimp in a quesadilla. Everything else on the menu was reasonably priced as well. If you want a quiet and relaxing lunch or dinner with a nice view of the golf course, reasonable prices and excellent service and good food, this is the way to get away from the hustle and bustle in Orlando. We had just checked in after a day of traveling with a 15 month old and needed food stat! Kenzie's was the practical choice because it was located inside the resort we were staying at. We didn't have high hopes on quality (we are from DC - not foodies per say, but our overall expectations were low). We were pleasantly surprised! We have ordered take out multiple times and haven't been disappointed yet. Food is fresh, clean, and tasty! Can only vouch for breakfast here - which was (surprisingly) amazing. I had chorizo and eggs - and let me tell you - the chorizo is the closest you can get to spanish chorizo this side of the pond. Honest and forthcoming about the food; I asked, as you do, what he eats on the menu and he said he always modifies, meaning he puts bacon in the Caesar wrap. Well I went with the chicken sandwich. This turned out to be the highlight of our vacation! Our first day we had lunch here, after our arrival. I had the fried green tomato BLT, it was phenomenal.. my husband had the black bean chili. The Easter brunch was fabulous at Kenzies, the restraurant was beautifully decorated, great selection of meats, sides and appetizers were incredible! Not to mention the dessert table with white chocolate fountain and wonderful fresh fruit. Our server was incredible and filled up my bottomless mimosas promptly. Attended breakfast with my family. Service was terrible, food took forever and was cold, and some of the orders were wrong when it came to the table. There was literally one other table in the restaurant. Had to ask the waiter to come back to the table and send food back and ask for manager. Manager apologized and said that she would make it right. We didn't see our waiter after that. We didn't have any refills on our drinks, we had to summon someone to our table and ask them for refills of our drinks. When we got our check there was a $6 dollar credit for our inconvenience. I was really disappointed in the service and the food. I would not recommend this place to anyone staying at the resort. If I could give negative stars I would. read more

It was a straight money graph and the decor was sorry and seemed as though they literally brought stuff from a dollar store or put stuff from outside on the table. This time they straight up charged me $15 for a frozen pizza I could have bought at Walmart for $7. Gross fake cheese and the crust was like a brick. It was undercooked. I couldn't even eat 1 piece. Initially we tried to avoid ordering room service from here, thinking it couldn't be very good, but our hands were tied as most other places were closed for the Fourth, so we went with it. The food turned out to be excellent. Everything we tried was tasty, from the pizza to chicken tenders and the salmon pasta - delicious and totally unexpected.
