Such a great deal, the best around! Especially because the original prices are $46 and $74. I called to confirm because I was bringing my toddler along and they promised 15 minutes, maybe 30 if they're busy. It ended up taking longer, around 45-1 hour but they were all so kind and nice, I can easily get over the wait. The waiting room is pretty dirty and gross but you can tell they try to keep it clean. It is a mechanic after all. A small pot of coffee sits out nearby a large soda machine. What seemed like a manager told me if I could get more people in for an oil change and they used my name, he'd give me something free like wiper blades. Random but how nice! I'm assuming their productivity is low but not really my problem. The gesture was kind! On top of that, while I was checking out and they did the final inspection, they noticed my brake light was out. It has been for months. The were so nice and willingly replaced my bulb that I bought a few months back. Just one extra step that they didn't have to do but chose to. My oil was changed, filters all checked, windows washed and out the door very happy, which is most important! AND it only cost me $13!

During the oil change, the technician told me he received a shock and asked if my key was turned to the battery (I have a keyless start). He then explained that while trying to get the oil filter out he hit the alternator with the wrench at the same time he was touching it to the metal frame, which explains the shock. Immediately after leaving I got a "battery saver active" warning. When I got home and googled it I realized this meant something was preventing my battery from charging. We immediately called the number on the paperwork and were told our only recourse was to have them submit a claim which would take 5 to 7 business days for a response. Mind you I now have a vehicle that is undrivable. We were able to find a mechanic friend to test the vehicle and found the heavy duty Mega Fuse in the alternator charging line was blown. My husband had to drive over 50 miles to find one and have it replaced. Not ideal, but better than waiting 5-7 days for a response. We figured we would submit the receipt and mileage when we heard back about our claim. It has now been 11 days and we have received no response from Take 5. We have tried calling back but now all of the numbers provided on the paperwork cannot be reached or are unavailable, including the direct number to the store. I have used Take 5 for several years but after this experience will be taking my business elsewhere.

Longtime Customer Left Extremely Disappointed…read more I've been a Tire Discounters customer for more than 10 years and have generally had good experiences, which makes what happened at the Five Mile location on August 6, 2026 especially disappointing. I scheduled an appointment several days in advance for four tires and an alignment on my 2003 Toyota Corolla. I was quoted $642 out the door for Cooper Endeavor tires. I dropped the car off around 12:30 p.m. for my 1:00 appointment and was told I'd "definitely" be done by 6:00. At 5:00, my car was still sitting in the same spot with the original tires on it. When I asked about it, I received what I felt was an unnecessarily hostile response. Then, at 5:57 p.m.--three minutes before the promised completion time--I was finally told the quoted Cooper tires weren't actually available. I was told the employee had somehow quoted tires for a '97 Civic. I was offered Kumho Solus tires instead, about $40 cheaper. After spending most of my day waiting, I reluctantly agreed. When I returned around 6:40 p.m., my car had only just been placed on the lift. I waited another 40 minutes while the tires were installed and the alignment was performed. The biggest problem came afterward: my steering wheel was perfectly straight before the alignment. Immediately after leaving, it was approximately 1/8-1/4 turn to the left when driving straight. I now have to hold the wheel crooked to travel straight. I also discovered afterward that my customer account contained an address I have never lived at. This wasn't simply a busy shop taking longer than expected. It was a combination of an incorrect tire quote, extremely poor communication, an all-day wait, and an alignment that left my previously straight steering wheel crooked. I understand that mistakes happen, but I expected considerably better from a company I've trusted for more than a decade. I hope management will take the time to investigate what happened, correct the alignment issue, and address the communication and transaction problems. If Tire Discounters makes a genuine effort to resolve these issues, I will gladly update this review.
