Pulled out my cabin filter. Very dirty. Replaced it. I should've asked the price. I assumed it would be fairly priced. I assumed wrong. $60 for a $10 filter. I don't blame the location as much as the company themselves. Shame on you. If I can't trust you to price fairly I can't trust you at all. Won't be back. read more

Brought my truck in for oil change. the guy who started on it seemed competent. Then I here 2 guys saying. Oh he finally decided to show up. This was a little before 8am. I assume the guy was late. He takes over doing the oil change. As he is working. He walks away and then a 3rd employee takes over. Job done. I leave lot and hear a screw fall in my engine compartment. I go back to location. They assure me there is no way that screw will end up in my engine. They replace the screw. I get home and do a check on air filter. The screw they replaced is just sitting in the hole of air filter cover. So they just stuck whatever they could find in my filter cover and told me it was taken care of. Unprofessional. read more

I came in for my first paid oil change on my new car after the complimentary dealership service expired, and while the appointment itself seemed to go smoothly, I later discovered an issue. About three weeks afterward, I noticed a piece hanging from the underside of my car. Upon inspection, I found two bolts missing and another with the head completely stripped. My skid plate was left secured by only two bolts on one side of the vehicle. I called the service department and opened a ticket, but I never received a follow-up. read more

A complete nightmare. I had been here once before and know it is a bit pricey, but it is convenient to be able to stay in car while work is done. Had an online coupon which made it closer to an affordable price. Here is what went down.... Got to place on Beechmont and Wolfangle. Bit of a line, but it was a weekend, so to be expected. Finally got in the first position and they began work. After a few minutes, I could see there was a problem. They came to me and said they made a mistake. Instead of draining oil, they drained TRANSMISSION FLUID! I am not a mechanic, but I know that is bad. So they said they were sending someone out to get fluid to refill for transmission. GREAT, got nothing else to do, right? Few minutes later I am told transmission is a closed system that they can't work on, so vehicle has to be towed. First was told it would go to the closest dealer, but then told the dealership would do nothing for a few days. Other option was to have it towed to a mechanic in Amelia. I went that route. They would fix the problem today. Mechanic in Amelia did the fix. He said don't trust Valvoline oil change for work on "exotic vehicles ". I have a late model Subaru Forester!!! So I got a free oil change and wasted 6 hours of my day. No other compensation offered. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!! read more

No pressure for services and quick/cheap enough oil changes earn this shop 5 stars. Ive been checking out their website for coupons and scored a 19.99 conventional oil change. Hubs gave the go ahead so I called the shop and they had a 3 minute wait time. Once I got to the shop, it was more like a 25min wait time and 20min service. Pretty close to their self proclaimed 15 minute oil change. They were super nice and didn't pressure me into any added services. The manager pointed out how dirty my cabin air filter was and offered to change it but was very kind when I declined. The tech cleaned most of the leaves out from under my hood and tended to a chipmunk nest in my airfilter. Everything was topped off as it should be and I was sent on my way. I must say, they are extremely efficient. Loved the car cam and timer with my service time. Will come back to this shop for future oil changes pending coupons! Horrible service. Do not come here. I waited outside for almost an hour as the two other lanes moved through cars. The lane I was sitting in, stagnant. Once I got inside, the employees seemed unsure on if they could perform the transmission service I had called ahead and asked about. Next, they realized they didn't have enough transmission fluid to service my car. I sat inside for close to another hour waiting on them to try and find the fluid for my car. They eventually made me leave and wait in the parking lot, I did not stick around. This Valvoline location is poorly run and I will not make the mistake of coming here again. Great, efficient experience today at Valvoline. I drove straight in for my oil change and drove out about 12 minutes later with the oil change plus my lights, battery, tire pressure and filters checked. Assistant Manager Adam was personable, walked me through every step, made sure my oil light wouldn't come on and found applicable coupons for my service. read more

My experiences at multiple Valvoline Instant Oil Change locations have been consistently positive, so I have to praise the company for that. It's a little pricier than your standard $19.99 oil change, but they send out decent coupons and they seem very above-board, professional and not-gross. My best staff experience was the location ta Hyde Park, they had a manager named Anthony who was stellar. However, I frequent this location every 3,000 miles (or sometimes 4,000...oops) since it is practically in my back yard. I have not had a bad experience yet, the same guys always greet me, they are fast, polite and attentive and they don't try to over-sell on products or services. read more

I go to this Vavoline location every time my car needs serviced. I never have a poor experience. The employees are wonderful and genuine. This group shows me things that should be repaired or fixed, spends time to explain why, and is honest if a service can be held off for a little while. I highly recommend this location. Wow, didn't even need to leave the car for my oil change! In a world of smart phones, that's awesome! I was in and out in 15 mins. The associate helps you navigate into the garage, then performs a number of checks like lights and fluids. It's very well "orchestrated" -seamless execution. They did upsell me on the oil type, but I was able to get a discount off of that for being a first-year customer, so why not. I might very well plan my next oil change for my next visit to Cincy. read more

Nothing special other than they vacuumed the oil out from the top of the engine other than from the bottom oil plug. No big deal staying in the car. They recommend 3 month change vs. mfg 7500 mi. change. I don't agree with their recommendation. read more

The absolute best place. I have never EVER had a bad experience here. I just left after getting my oil change and tire rotation. I informed them of my hard day at work, so they ended my visit with a medical personal discount (I am an MA), thanked me for working the front line during the pandemic, and they all yelled as I was leaving to have a great rest of my day. Friendly, professional staff. My car died at a nearby location. I walked to Valvoline and an employee drove to my car and helped me jump start it. Then they performed a diagnostic & assisted in solving the issue to the best they could. They kept me updated throughout the prices as well. When they couldn't fix 1 final aspect, they gave me a recommendation of where to go and what to ask about. I'll be back for regular maintenance. That's for sure. read more

Last month I had the oil changed and the trans fluid replaced. $200, a bit pricey, but they were very professional. However, during the service they snapped the dipstick. They offered to order me a new one and call when it was available. I stopped by the following week to check on it and again said they would let me know. FF one month and no word. Maybe they forgot, or maybe they figured I wouldn't remember, but either way, im not a happy customer. There's an Auto Zone just up the street, so I guess I'll pick up a dipstick there. read more
